Map item level fields, Pattern Type and Linking Number in Analytics.
Area of concern: Analytics Fields for Reporting on Serials 863/866 Generation.
Please reference Ex Libris presentation ‘Automation Tasks for Summary Holdings’:
In order for 863/866 Summary Holdings generation to work properly, each item record must contain certain information in the ‘Pattern Type’ and ‘Linking Number’ fields. Currently, these fields are not mapped in analytics, so there is no way to report on which records lack this info. Without this reporting capability, we are stuck individually checking many thousands of records to be sure they have the required information.

Add Electronic Collection Information to the Bib Record Enrichment Fields in the OAI Publishing Profile
Problem - Database type electronic collections are not getting published to Blacklight in the OAI publishing job. So bibliographic records that have database type electronic collection inventory attached, display as records without inventory in the catalog.
Situation as described by Ex Libris - The OAI publishing profile is designed to publish the BIB record plus the enrichment fields. The Collection enrichment in the profile is for the Digital Collection, not the Electronic collection. Set continuing orders not to claim
There are some continuing orders for which we do not "receive" every item, such as newspapers that will be discarded after several weeks. It would be great if PO lines had an option to indicate that they should not be claimed. They end up cluttering up the Claims list and making the list harder to work with, when we are never going to claim or receive those issues. We also can't set up automatic claiming because we don't want emails sent for these titles.

When creating a new local portfolio generates a new bib record, the portfolio's material type should determine the bib's material type.
ExL documentation states, "When creating a new bibliographic record, the portfolio material is not taken into account. Thus, when you add a local portfolio and set a specific electronic material type, a bibliographic record is also created, but with 'Book' as the material, regardless of the portfolio's material. When adding ISSN, the material remains to be 'Book'. "
This is imprecise and creates issues for discovery: when I create a new portfolio for a Kanopy video and select Electronic Material Type=Streaming Video, the bib record is encoded for a book. So in Primo, the video's Resource Type shows as book,…

Search function in Monitor Jobs Menu
In the menu "Monitor Jobs" (Admin -> Manage Jobs and Sets -> Monitor Jobs) there is no search function for the Scheduled Jobs. For all other Tabs (Scheduled Manual Jobs ; Running ; History) there is a search function. As we have many Scheduled Jobs it would be very useful if a search function could be implemented as in the other tabs.

Allow relinking of items to other holdings records via API
The Alma user interface allows cataloguers to relink an item onto a different holdings record, either on the same bibliographic record or a different one. It is not possible to relink an item via the API.
If a library wishes to do a major restructure of holdings records via API (e.g. post migration from another system), it is currently impossible. For example, during migration of our early printed books from our old LMS, Ex Libris craeted one holdings record per location, despite there being multiple distinct items with different shelfmarks and provenance history, which should have separate holdings records. When paying specific fees by selecting fees from the list of fees, the sum of the selected fees should be calculated and displayed immediately before leaving the list when entering the select button. As of now the sum is displayed only after leaving the list via the select button, which is too late for a correction of the selection.

Improve financial forecasting of subscriptions
It would nice to have more functionality in terms of subscription financial forecasting.
Although we can roll over subscriptions with a blanket % increase, we would like to be able to input and overwrite this where we know price increases will differ.
In addition, where we know the increases for multi-year agreements, these can all be set in advance, allowing for more accurate encumbrance figures.

Making purchase order letters more configurable to add imprint information (place of publication, publisher, and publication year) to the letter to vendor. As it is now only the ISBN (if it is available) and title are listed, sometimes the author. Many vendors reply asking for further information to identify what it is we are ordering.

Order lines - Customize view: please add "Acquisition method"
Our colleagues are missing the field "Acquisition method" in the results list when searching for PO Lines.
Currently the field is only a facets value but this will also not add the field to the Excel export file.

Pop-ups for invoice alerts
We noticed, that certain invoice alerts won’t pop up upon saving the invoices. This way, quite relevant alerts, such as “Invoice contains vendor account which differs from one or more linked PO lines” or “Invoice using different vendor than poline POL-***” will be unnoticed.
We would find it very helpful, if these alerts would pop-up upon saving the invoices.

Lending Ship item physically check item barcode matches title
When staff use "Ship Item Physically" from an individual request, there is no check that the item barcode entered into the Ship form matches the item barcode for the title. Staff can accidentally scan a barcode for a different request.
Because the item barcode is already in use, the other request can't be Shipped.
Adding a General setting to check that the item barcode matches the located title would help prevent workflow errors.

Do not allow invoices with a mismatch in payment method between vendor account and invoice from going into Approval status
It should not be possible to submit an invoice with a payment method that differs from those listed on the vendor account.
We have vendors who only accept certain types of payment, such as wire transfers. This can be documented at the account level of vendor records. However, an invoice can still be manually created that uses a payment method not used by that vendor, and it can go all the way through to issue a payment the vendor cannot accept, such as a check. Enable creation of individual patron blocks for loans of specific material types
If an institution needs to prohibit an individual user from borrowing a particular type of resource temporarily, e.g. placing a temporary ban on laptop loans for that person, then there is no way to block them from borrowing items of that specific material type without preventing them from borrowing everything else as well. As a result, we are unable to apply blocks in exceptional circumstances, such as with our laptop loans service, because the block would be disproportionate and prevent the user borrowing any physical items at all. Prevent items to be loaned immediately when they are returned at a SIP2 Self check machine and have a Rapido personal delivery request
When a loaned item is returned at a SIP2 Self check machine and has a Rapido personal delivery request, the item is automatically loaned to the patron (and sorted to a request bin). Requested items then are scanned in at a circulation desk for further processing. In case of a personal delivery request, the item is immediately returned and marked for reshelving. Librarians do not see that there was a request (and a short loan).

Payment option on user Fines/Fees tab
We would like to include a "Pay" option in the drop down list at the bottom of user Fines/Fees tab (see attachment). There are many times that patrons want to know their fine details. The staff have to show the patron Fines/Fees tab. If the patron wants to pay after that, the staff has to exit the Fines/Fees tab to pay the fine, which we think is wasting the time. Why don't have a "Pay" option in the dropdown on the Fines/Fees page?

I was optimistic about exploring this idea further. While I had hoped to prioritize this enhancement, it hasn’t gained the traction we typically look for to move forward. As a result, it’s unlikely to be implemented in the foreseeable future. That said, your feedback remains valuable, and I’ll continue to keep it in mind as our roadmap evolves.

Preventing Change of Due Date (Recall) when placing Physical Item Request
When placing a physical item request for an item that is checked out, we typically want to recall the item, but there are sometimes exceptions to this. For these exceptions, we would like to have the option, while placing the request, to prevent the recall and simply add the requester to the queue without changing the due date.

Automatically populate date and end time in booking request form
When placing a booking in Alma or Primo you need to choose a starting date then a starting hour followed by a starting minute. You then need to choose an end date then an ending hour and an ending minute. This is a lot of clicks to place one booking.
It would be nice if the end date, hour and time could be automatically populated based on the Terms of use of the item (so if the loan period is 2 hours and the start time is 2:30 then the end time could be automatically populated to say 4:30). If…

Add the "Public note" of the item to the PNX record
The content of the item field "Public note" will not be published to Primo. We want to index the public note in Primo but the field is not transferred to the PNX record.
