    Hi,

    You say that 'when a renewal is attempted, whether by the patron, automatically, or by staff, it fails, e.g. because of the request, with no notification of the failure which is confusing to the end user'.

    I am not sure what's being asked for in this idea. When renewing in Alma you do see the reason for the renew failure. Can you elaborate ?

    Would the solution planned for the 'Payment option on user Fines/Fees tab' idea solve this requirement ?

    The plan is that it will be possible to pay from the user Fines and Fees tab of the user form instead of have to leave this screen to the 'Manage Patron Services' screen when having to register a payment.

    Hi,

    Do you mean to change the due dates of a group of loans after they have been made ? The 'Bulk Change Due Dates ' utility allows you to change the due date of previously made loans from one date to another. It can also be run for specific user groups. Is that what you are trying to achieve ?

    Sounds like some overlap with NERS requirement 5746 - "Allow desktop printing directly from Alma", which has been voted for development during 2019 and is in development.

    Hi,

    Would setting the calendar to the closing time of the Circulation desks (20.30) help ? You could then control the return time of the laptop, while still set 23:59 to be the return time for the longer loans.

    Hi,

    Please note that when a resource sharing request form for an article is submitted from Alma, Primo, or using the API, if the PMID or DOI is included, additional metadata now automatically augments the request that is eventually sent to the lender. This depends on having the Augmentation Integration Profile set up.

    Wouldn't the weeding process be triggered by a report of low usage items rather than by looking at a specific item in Alma ? Perhaps mapping the relevant bib information to the local fields that can be added to Analytics would help ?     Other than the fulfillment aspect mentioned in the comment below, is this in the context of Analytics ? Are the Statistical Categories not useful for that ?

    As part of the March release, library and location parameters are available to be added to the availability rules for item and title level general electronic services (see https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/010_2019/Alma_2019_Release_Notes?mon=201903BASE#General_Electronic_Service_Availability_Rules-69609. )

    The flexible mechanism that allows setting General Electronic Services (GES) per genre (and now also per location) is widely used today to also hide or display non GES services (mostly resource sharing) based on the same parameters. For example, see https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Knowledge_Articles/How_to_hide_the_Resource_Sharing_Request_general_electronic_service_and_display_an_alternative_GES_for_articles

    This, together with the new March release feature, can be used to hide the resource sharing request option by location.

    Please note you can use the RESTful API (https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/alma/apis/docs/users/UE9TVCAvYWxtYXdzL3YxL3VzZXJz/) to create internal users. You can set up your application to read a file and automatically upload it using API calls.

    Hi,

    Alma allows you to create Analytics based sets that can be used as input for jobs. You can therefore create a set in Analytics of users, and use that set to trigger the "Update/Notify Users" job.

    I added a link below that described how to create your own customized letters to send to groups of users using the "Update/Notify Users" job.

    Do you set the invoice Status in the POL to "Partially invoiced" ? That should prevent the POL from closing.

    I'm sorry, this is still unclear. You can receive an item and invoice it, and later receive more items and invoice them. When the order is fully received it is closed. Is that not your expectation ?

    Hi,

    What if the parameter would enable configuring the courtesy and overdue reminder as percentage of the loan period instead of exact minutes, as it is today ? For example, a value of 50% would cause a two hour loan to have s reminder be sent 1 hour before due time, and a 4 hour loan would be reminded 2 hours before due time ? Would that be helpful ?

    Hi,

    The plan for the activation note is to add this note similar to the receiving note that can be added to physical orders, i.e. a persistent note, separate from the general 'notes' tab that allows adding unlimited additional notes.

    Is there a functional gap between that and your requirement ? If there is small gap, it may be that we can incorporate it into the the already planned development.
