Check past requests
When a request is cancelled or completed, there is no possibility to retrieve any information about the past request. If something went wrong, it is impossible to trace the patron or destination of the request.
Thank you for submitting this idea and for highlighting the need to view past patron requests in Alma.
With the introduction of the new Manage Patron Services interface, this functionality is now available. The Requests tab includes both active and historical requests, allowing staff to review a patron’s full request history directly from the same screen.
Since this enhancement is now part of the updated workflow, I’m closing this idea as completed.

Hi, in the new UI (coming up late in 2024) there will be an option to view the patron's requests history. Both completed and rejected ones.

Also, patrons often miss picking up their physical requests and we have no way of looking at the history of that cancelled request on their patron record (for example, to say "your item arrived on __date, was on the hold shelf until ___date so we had to give it to the next patron in line"). The Requests tab on Manage Patron Services only displays current requests. There should be an option for All Requests like in the Returns tab. And then an anonymization rule to set how long cancelled/completed request information is kept in your institution. Currently once a request is over (for whatever reason: completed, cancelled, expired), the information is completely gone.

Activity Status in Request Monitoring is for Active or Complete requests. This issue is about retrieving information about cancelled requests.

Can't the history requests be viewed in the requests monitor ?
