Alma : add search indexes for all MARC21 fields
We would find it very helpful if the tag and the search index were displayed in the search. Sometimes the tags are not self-explanatory, there are multiple similar tags or there are different ways to name it. So, one must regularly check the list (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/Metadata_Management/180Search_Indexes/050MARC_21_Search_Indexes) to see what the exact designation is.
So if the field code (= search index) were provided as well, it would be very helpful. This way, one could search by tag or search index. Thanks for your help !

ALMA interface - Why unnecessary steps to edit a holding?
Dear colleagues, regarding Alma interface, it would be highly useful that the option EDIT HOLDINGS had a 1-step shortcut. It is pretty annoying to continuously click 3 times to open de item in order to work on it. Thank you for your attention.

Make ISSN field clickable
When searching in ALMA for e.g. a journal based on MMS ID and get a result, I miss being able to click on ISSN and get a new search result with all titles that match the ISSN.

New Database Request: International Commercial Arbitration (ICMA)
Hello,
Can we please get this database added to Alma? It is called, "International Commercial Arbitration (ICMA)," from Oxford Legal Research Library.
ICMA combines texts covering key arbitral bodies and jurisdictions with officially recognized and endorsed works detailing the rules governing specific arbitral bodies.
Collection-level URL:

Set colour layout depending on physical location
If you are working on a project in acquisitions and someone comes to the desk to check out a book, the acquisitions project must be scuttled in order to switch over to fulfillment. It would be great to have access to both desks at once (https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/48521747) and additionally to this, to have an option to configure the color of Alma depending on the desk you are working with. This helps to recognize at a glance which applications are available.

Search function in Monitor Jobs Menu
In the menu "Monitor Jobs" (Admin -> Manage Jobs and Sets -> Monitor Jobs) there is no search function for the Scheduled Jobs. For all other Tabs (Scheduled Manual Jobs ; Running ; History) there is a search function. As we have many Scheduled Jobs it would be very useful if a search function could be implemented as in the other tabs.
Thank you

Quick Links for Alma Cloud Apps
The quick links (available through the "Alma Production" button) for the most used functions in Alma are very usefull. We would appreciate if Alma Cloud Apps could also be selected as favourites and saved as quick links. It would also be great, if selected Cloud Apps could also be accessed with a key board shortcut (hot key).

Search scheduled jobs
Maybe I'm missing something but when you go into Admin>Monitor Jobs , you can search in the 'Scheduled Manual Jobs', 'Running' and 'History' tabs - but can't search in the 'Scheduled Jobs' tab.
We have a lot of scheduled jobs, and every now and then have to check them for troubleshooting purposes. Sometimes it can be difficult to find the one you need when the only option is to figure out which Job Category it belongs to, and having to click through the pages.
Having a Search Bar, like in the other tabs would make things a lot easier.

Feature Request: Enhanced Reporting Capabilities for Alma Analytics
Hello Everyone,
I am reaching out to gather insights or suggestions regarding a feature enhancement I would like to see in Alma’s Analytics module. As an institution, we heavily rely on Alma for library management and its robust analytics capabilities. However, we have encountered some challenges with the current reporting options, particularly when it comes to customizing and automating reports.
Currently, while Alma offers a range of predefined reports and queries, our team often needs to create customized reports that pull data across different modules or require specific filtering, which isn’t always straightforward. It would be incredibly helpful if there…

Improving Usability for Searching Long Titles
When searching for items with long titles in Alma, the clear text icon overlaps the text being entered. It would be more user-friendly if this icon were positioned to the side, next to the search icon.

Implement Organizational SSO into Alma Login Systems
I would find a way to offer integration for organizational SSO systems into Alma login webpages, such as this one (https://mdc-flvc-psb.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/mng/login). Other business systems, such as Zoom, offer this, so it would be prudent for Alma and other ExLibris systems to do so as well. That way, if a library worker is unable to get to their normal SSO page for the organization's website, they can still access Alma to serve patrons. Thanks for the opportunity to share my idea! :)

Creation and Modify / Update information should always be the Primary ID of the initiating user account, and not "System"
We want to use more automation and bulk options in Alma, as this has clear benefits and is one of the reasons we chose Alma for our library. But we are hindered by the current design for Alma to record outcomes as being made by “System”.
Issues with this include that:
• we cannot use the data to report on workflow efficiencies achieved by our staff in both Alma and Alma Analytics, which prevents using the data also for rostering and workload management both in the short term and long term trend analysis
• we cannot easily troubleshoot problems by…3 votes -
Enhanced Export Physical items CSV, TSB, XLSX
We use the physical items export procedure at regular intervals in the form of a CSV file (comma-separated text file). Official documentation :
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/050Administration/070Managing_Jobs/020Manual_Jobs_on_Defined_Sets
see “Export Physical Item” sectionThe CSV file is inconsistent: fields are sometimes surrounded by quotation marks, sometimes by French quotation marks (guillemets), sometimes by quotation marks and French quotation marks (guillemets), and sometimes by nothing at all. This causes problems for some of the analysis programs we use in post-processing.
We would like to see one improvement:
-A compliant CSV file: quotation marks systematically surrounding each field.
-Can we have the option to export in…23 votes -
Remove confirmation window when adding titles using Collection Resource Editor
When adding titles to online Collections via Collection Resource Editor, every new title added requires user to "confirm" on a pop-up window. This is cumbersome and the consequences of mistakenly adding a title are minor (easily fixable). It is an extra page that very much slows down the process when adding multiple books and the negative reprocussions of removing it would be negligible.

Pin POL notes to top of list
Context: when acquisition staff view POLs, there are some notes that are important to see, and other notes that are less important. However the only sorting options for POL notes are by created or updated date.
Proposal: users need the ability to pin one (or more) notes to the top of the list of POL notes, so the important notes are always easily viewable.118 votes -

Option for support from within EU for EU customers
There should be an option for Alma customers within the EU to allow access opportunities for Ex Libris staff in the EU only. The purpose is to increase the compliance with GDPR by
limiting access to data by US intelligence authorities as far as possible.19 votes -
Update Email Records Letter XML to use tags instead of metadata
Currently, the EmailRecordsLetter.xsl file has to use the <metadata> tag in EmailRecordsLetter XML. This prevents libraries from being able to customize the display of the emailed record.
EmailRecordsLetter XML should have tags similar to other letters, like <title> and <mms_id>. This would enable libraries to customize and create a professional, modern email.
