  1. Add reminders to Analytics

The function reminders is only partly useful at the moment. Improve it by adding reminders to Analytics. Creating and scheduling reports on reminders by type, status, text and so on would be very helpful for us.

Data visualisation: Open for saving canvas templates.
    As described in https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/tutorial-custom-themes/index.html

This makes it easier to standardise look and feel of institution reports.

  3. The line separator in Analytics outputs is normally a semicolon, but should not be ambiguous

In various exports from Analytics, it was noticed that the characters present in Alma are output as follows:

    • sharp bracket < present in Alma is put out by Analytics as & l t ;
    • sharp bracket > in the Alma (bibliographic data) material is put out by Analytics as & g t ;
    • ampersand & as & a m p ;

This is likely due to HTML being used as the export format in Analytics. However, for the further processing of large amounts of data, it is disruptive that a semicolon is used for coding here. The semicolon appears both…

  4. COUNTER metric PR_P1 or DR_D1 Searches platform to calculate Total Usage in Analytics databases cost per use reports

We request that the Total Usage field used in constructing the databases cost per use report utilize the COUNTER PRP1 Searches platform or DRD1 Searches platform metric.

Within the group of university libraries that are part of REBIUN (https://www.rebiun.org/), we have agreed to use the PRP1 metric, or alternatively DRD1 Searches platform, to calculate the cost per use of databases.

However, when configuring the report in Analytics, we encountered the problem that Alma uses the DR – Unique Title Requests metric. https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/080Analytics/Alma_Analytics_Subject_Areas/E-Inventory#Cost_Usage

Therefore, even if we build a cost per use report, it would…

  5. Display statistics note labels in Analytics

Controlling item statistics notes is optional in Alma. We have controlled our statistics notes and would like to have the option of displaying the more human-readable descriptions in Analytics reports rather than the raw codes. This is how for instance statistical categories work in Analytics--you can display the code or the description. Institutions that have not controlled statistics notes could have null descriptions, or the description could be the code.

  6. Analytics : Add Website URL to Users subject area

On a user record there is a field called "Website URL" however this isn't included in Analytics.

It would be useful to have this as it would save the need to put URLs into other less appropriate fields just to get the data on an analytics report.

  7. Create report in analytics for citations with no usage

It would helpful in the leganto student usage area of leganto to be able to generate a list of citations in a reading list with no engagement. Currently you can only report on citations with student usage.

  8. Primo Analytics Mixpanel Data Integrated Into Alma Analytics as External Data Resources

As stated in the Alma Roadmap 2025-2026, "Analytics will support integrations with external data sources, allowing users to analyze data from multiple systems within the Analytics platform." (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Materials/010Roadmap/Alma_Roadmap_Highlights_(2025-2026)/Analytics_and_Insights#Integration_with_External_Data_Resources )
This new feature is expected to simplify workflows and save time by eliminating the need to access multiple systems, thereby improving staff efficiency and effectiveness.

It would be highly valuable if Primo Analytics Mixpanel data were considered a priority candidate for inclusion within this consolidation initiative.

  9. Allow cost per use reports for TR reports, not just TR_B1 and TR_J1

We would like the ability to create cost per use reports based on the Cost Usage Measure TR, not just TRB1 and TRJ1 reports.

  10. Allow BOTH Analytics widgets and Data Visualisation workbooks on Alma homepage

I currently have a DV workbook on my Alma homepage. I recently wanted to add an Analytics Widget but was unable to.
I opened a case with ExLibris and was advised that it is not possible to have BOTH DV and a widget on your homepage and they suggested raising it as an ideas exchange.

So I propose that it would be useful to be able to have BOTH Alma Analytics Widgets and DV Workbooks available to view together/at the same time on the Alma Homepage.

  11. Enable reporting and filtering in Alma Analytics based on specific MARC indicator values by exposing them as separate, filterable fields

Please consider enhancing Alma Analytics to:
    • Include MARC indicators as separate, filterable fields in the data model.
    • Allow reporting and filtering based on specific indicator values for any MARC tag.
This would greatly improve our ability to manage bibliographic data quality and streamline workflows that depend on precise MARC structure.

  12. Use same format for all dates in Analytics

When combining different subject areas (I use the button “Combine results based on union, intersection, and difference operations”, and I am using union) I find that it is not always possible to combine dates.
For example: The date "Event Start Date"."Event Start Time" from Physical Items Historical Events cannot be combined with "Loan Date"."Loan Date" from Fulfillment.
This is due to differences in date formats.
It's hard to predict which parts of Analytics a library would want to combine. So I suggest that the date formats be standardised across Analytics

  13. Add Primary ID to Creators and Modifiers of Analytics Reports

Currently, Analytics displays only the Created Date and Modified Date for reports, without showing which user performed these actions. This makes it difficult to identify ownership or responsibility for a report, and complicates collaboration among staff.

I propose adding the Primary ID of the user who created a report and of the user who last modified it. This would:

    1.Improve accountability and change tracking.

2.Make it easier to follow up with colleagues about report logic or updates.

3.Align Analytics with other Alma areas where user IDs are already visible in audit trails.

Adding this information would strengthen report governance and…

  14. Analytics for Global Authorities

We require reporting capabilities not only for local authorities—such as identifying preferred headings and their linkage to bibliographic records—but also for global authorities. These reports are valuable for various purposes, including data cleanup and deduplication efforts.

To support this need, we propose the addition of a "Global Authorities" subject area to Analytics, mirroring the functionality of the existing "Local Authorities" subject area. This enhancement should enable filtering options based on attributes such as Source Type and Preferred Heading status (Yes/No), consistent with the filters currently available for local authorities.

  15. Add Information about Authority records linked to other vocabularies than LOCAL

We need to manage the information about authority records linked from other vocabularies than LOCAL, ie. LCNAMES. In Analytics only exists the area for local Authority records. It is useful to work with linked open data in collections that use diferents vocabularies as sources for authorities records.

  16. Add Fiscal Period Month, Full Month and Month Key to E-inventory Cost Usage

The ability to drill down to usage by month is absent in the E-inventory subject area.

    Can this be added, please?

This subject area has much richer data than Usage.

  17. Power BI access to Alma & Primo Analytics

Many libraries are using Power BI to analyse the suite of library services they offer. Data is derived from the library management system (LSM/ILS) but also chat services, reading list software, library guides and more.

Though Ex Libris has developed analytics in Alma, libraries need to analyse their data in the tools of choice.

Can Ex Libris open analytics so a direct connection to Power BI can be made without the need for intermediary workarounds, e.g., https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/blog/microsoft-power-bi-connecting-to-alma-api/?

  18. Add Bibliographic Details shared dimension to Physical Items Historical Events Report

Use case: What are the languages (Bib Details) for items in a certain work order status (Physical Items Historical Events)? It doesn't seem possible to report on languages from Physical Items Historical Events because it doesn't have the Bib Details shared dimension. The Physical Items report doesn't seem to have work order status. Adding the Bib Details shared dimension to the Physical Items Historical Events report would be very helpful to avoid having to feed results of one report to the other. See https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/46741807-in-alma-analytics-physical-items-subject-area

  19. Add General Electronic Services information to Analytics

In General Electronic Services, we have four different services for article requests, four different services for book requests, and five different services for book chapter requests, all developed over the years to address provider idiosyncrasies. Each group of services provides the same link to the user, e.g. the article request links all display "Get this PDF".

Our Interlibrary Services unit has the product delivery statistics, but I would really find it helpful to know how many clicks each of our General Electronic Services gets. It would help with service and link maintenance and I expect with troubleshooting, since it would…
