Hide Renew option when Patron Mediated Renewal is Rejected (Borrowing Requests)
We use Alma Resource Sharing and have Primo VE. We want to use the Patron Mediated Renewal workflow for Borrowing requests. This means that users will be able to request Renewal of their interlibrary loans via their My Library Account in Primo.
Whilst testing the workflow we found that when users request a renewal and the partner library rejects the renewal, after notifying the patron via email, the Renew option reappears in My Library Account against the loan. This was confirmed by Ex Libris as expected behaviour in our SalesForce ticket #00827864.

Rapido – Popup warning when local/consortium copy exists
We have more than 4 millions documents in our consortia, and a Rapido service. Sometimes patrons order a document via Rapido while this document is available locally. This can be choice or an error. To avoid errors, Rapido should display a configurable popup whenever a patron submits a Rapido request for an item that is available in our consortium. The popup would warn the user that a free local loan exists and ask for explicit confirmation before sending a paid ILL request, for example: “One or more copies are available from your library network for free loan. Add 130 and 246 fields to brief results in Physical Titles search
We would like data from the 130 and 246 fields to display in brief results for Physical titles searches. We would want the 130 field to be labeled as "Uniform Title" and the 246 field to be labeled as "Varying Form of Title." This is useful for serials where the title in the 245 field isn't necessarily the most well-known form of the title.

Requests Tab - Tasks
The Task Column displays the text "Not Started" if an item is On Loan. For Resource Sharing requests it displays the text "Not Started" for all statuses e.g. Created Borrowing Request, Request Sent to Partner, Digitally Received by Library, Waiting for Cancel Response etc... Is it possible to change this to a more meaningful text such as "In Process"?

We would like to request an enhancement to Alma.
When a user reports that a borrowed item has been lost, and the item is not returned within a certain period, we would like to have a function that allows the circulation staff to change the item’s status from "Lost" back to "Loaned."

Setting to default when only one Loan Period Policy
When placing a request for an item with only one Loan Period Policy, It would be more intuitive and friendly if it would be the default option so the patron shouldn't have to open the drop down and choose the only available option.
54 votesSetting the default Loan Period Policy would mean that the request must be fulfilled with that loan policy. That would mean that if there is a change in the items’ policy the request will be automatically cancelled. This may not be a desirable result.
If the patron really wants the request to be fulfilled only with the selected loan policy, the patron is expected to explicitly select that.

Now "save and edit" is only an option for the borrowing req. made manually, would be helpful option for all req.

Requestable by Campus Affiliated Patrons Only
We have an idea to reduce Transit Time: We whish to be able to limit physical items to be requested by campus affiliated patrons only.
This means that e.g. books in a specific collection in a specific library, is only requestable by the patrons affiliated with that specific library.
Explanation:
Our most requested physical items is in the Compulsary Readings Collection. This collection consists of identical titles, and every campus library has this collection. The items are requested a lot, and by patrons on all campuses.
Result: These items fly back and forth between campuses, and…242 votesRequest, loan and booking fulfillment unit rules now have the option to define a rule that applies only to patrons of a given campus to enable limiting resources to students of the same campus only. The Patron Affiliated Campus rule appears in the input parameters of the Fulfillment Unit Rules Editor.

Allow Requesting several copies of the same volume of a title at once, by means of holding level request
We have title level requests, but in titles with several volumes, the request level comes down to de copy/item which needs the description.
If the call nr. is different for de different volumes, the holding level of the request, instead of the copy level, would allow patrons to pick the first copy of the volume available, not the one chosen from the list when they all are checked out.

We want a print slip option for the Receive screen in Acquisition that includes barcode and location, reporting codes, receiving note and notification of interested user/ patron request.

Fulfillment: Physical item recall: option to recall more than one copy
Currently in Alma when a request is placed on a title where there are 10 copies all out on loan, and none available, a single real-time recall notification is sent to the patron who has the oldest loan, changing their loan status to 'recalled'. The 9 other patrons who have a copy are not made aware of the potential demand for the item at that time.

Ship digitally
We find the digitization workflow for Resource sharing tedious, and would like to have a shortcut directly from action menu, like for item and non-returnable.
This would be a new action from the Lending request: Ship digitally.
From there you should get the option to add a file, and ship it digitally to Borrowing library.

Remove "material type" and "term of use" fields on the request form
We don't need "material type" and "term of use" fields on the request form. They are not mandatory fields and we think it is a waste of time for our patrons to fill them in. Find more details in the attachment.

Alma Analytics: Add "Pickup Location" to the Borrowing Requests Subject Area
We need tp know which local library locations requested how many items from each Lending institution in an analytic report. When Borrowing requests first go out go out we can easily see which of our, let's say 4, different library pick up locations ordered each item by looking at the pick up location parameter in the facets, The pick up location is even maintained in Alma once the item is filled. Make requests for multi-volume works fulfillable at location scanned in
Hi there,
If patrons submit a request for a multi-volume work at the holdings level, only the circulation desk for the Library where the volume is held can see the 'existing holdings requests may be fulfillable by scanned in item' message when the requested volume is scanned in.
We would like all circulation desks to be able to see this message and had the option to attach the item to the request at the holdings record.

Delete multiple MARC fields after they are highlighted / selected in Metadata Editor
At the moment, you can select multiple MARC fields when you hold down CTRL, as can be seen by the fields highlighted in BLUE in the attached screenshot.
However, when one attempts to remove them (CTRL+F6), only the first field is deleted.

Document Delivery - 10 MB Attachment Limit too small
For document delivery (scanning and delivering book chapters and journal articles) the limit is 10 MB. This equals roughly 20 pages of black and white text only on default, low res scanning setting.
For anything in color or with detailed photos we typically cannot send, requiring us to cancel the request and deliver the scan outside of the Alma workflow.

Make Approved Purchase Requests Editable
It would be very helpful if it was possible to edit Purchase Requests which have been approved. Our purchase requests default to 'electronic' material type, but if the electronic version of the requested item is unavailable and we need to order print copies instead, and the staff dealing with the request forget to change the material type before clicking on 'Approve and order', this means an order is created with the wrong material type and there is no way to fix this retrospectively. Adding a physical holdings drop down to the request brief result would help in person enquiries.
Case - Currently, when a user requests an item. If the user then comes to the libary and asks a college librarian to update them about how long before the item is ready to collect. If they search for the request and no item has been return that can fulfill the request. It takes 2/3 extra clicks to go via the 'view title in search' and find out the current availability of the items within that record.

Add “Additional ID” as an option for the costumized view on the pages “Scan In Items” and “Manage Patron Services”
Today, when “Additional ID” is used as pickup number for borrowers picking up their hold requests, the librarian will not be able to see the Additional ID when scanning a book with a hold request on the “scan in item”-page. To see the "Additional ID", the librarian will need to enter the “Active Hold Shelf»-page.
This makes the process difficult for the librarian, when he or she needs to manually write the “Additional ID” on the pick up-slip that is placed in the book.
