Attach printed letters to user record
We send our bill notice to a central email account for price checking before sending onto the user.
Request is for any notice to be added to a users record in the attachment tab, whether it is emailed or sent to print.

Make Alma able to deactivate the security of the RFID tags when lending items from other IZs
In a network circulation context, Alma cannot currently disable the security of the RFID tag when lending the document from another institution zone (hold shel request on items of other IZs). We would like Alma to be able to deactivate the security of items of other IZs. Currently the deactivation must be done "manually" in a third party software.

Additional "title" column under Funds and Ledger - Transactions tab
Hi,
Under Funds and Ledger - Transactions tab, we get to see fields e.g. Type, PO Line, Invoice Line, Amount, Reporting Code, etc.
Can we request for an additional "title" column. It will be very useful (esp for expensive purchases, eg e-collection) to know the title without the need to click on each POL/invoice.

Alma Purchase Request Facets - filter by fiscal year
It would be helpful to have facets in the Alma Purchasing requests to be able to filter out orders by fiscal year. The fund codes connected to the orders have fiscal years attached to them. It would be helpful to only be able to see the orders that are within the current fiscal year and not every order ever entered.

update expiry from booking
For bookings, it is possible to update expiry from the request list in the user account, but it would be very practical to have this option in the active and expired hold shelves item lists for bookings, too.

Enhance conditions in General Electronic Services based on holdings/locations
Currently in a general electronic service we can create conditions based on limited bibliographic metadata via openurl format.
This is a request to enhance conditions in General Electronic Services further to allow conditions based on holdings/locations/items.

Ability to run user purge on a set
The current purge job does not allow for granularity beyond the user group and the number of options and filters for the Purge User Records job is very limited.
It would be helpful to be able to run patron purge on a set of user records, or alternatively for Alma to add a user delete job (under Manage Jobs and Sets > Run a Job) that runs on a set.

I'm happy to inform you that Alma now allows purging users based on a set. This new option enhances the library's ability to purge users based on varying user record attributes, such as last activity date or expiry date. It is also possible to define a scheduled job. The job is run from the Run a Job page at Admin > Manage Jobs and Sets > Run a Job > Purge Users.

Ability to store & track VPAT® documents
As part of the procurement or licensing process, many libraries may request that a vendor provide a VPAT® (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) in order to indicate their compliance with Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act. It would be desirable if functionality could be developed somewhere in Alma that would allow libraries to track & report whether/when a VPAT was requested and received, which VPAT version was used, and local notes related to accessibility testing.

Anonymize loans and request older than X
Hi there,
We need to access the recent history of patron loans and requests. For example, when a patron returns an item and there is damage found afterwards or something is missing, we contact the last patron to know what happened.
This way we can resolve about 80% of such cases.But by law, we are bound to anonymize loans and requests older than a year. We don't have this possibility in Alma.
It would be great to add a parameter in the configuration interface in order to anonymize all loans or requests completed before [date].
2 votesPlease note the ‘Loan Anonymization Rules’ configuration option, found under the Fulfillment Configuration. This option allows to set under what conditions loans will be anonymized, including the ‘Days Since Loan Ended’ or the ‘Number of Loans to Retain’.
These rules are especially required for loans, in order to be able to retain history information that is required for inventory management, for example if item is lost ordamaged. The rules are less of an issue for requests history.

All RS requests appear in Patron Services as Physical
Resource Sharing requests appear in "Patron Services" with one Request Type: "Patron physical item request". However, in "Resource Sharing Borrowing Requests" there are two types of Requested Format: Physical or Digital. Both types should appear correctly under Patron Services, and not only Physical.

Change / improve the Booking process for staff and patrons
Hi all,
We wish to submit a proposal to change the current booking process for staff creating a booking request in Alma AND for patrons creating their own bookings in PRIMO VE.
Now, Alma’s option to submit ‘’ Booking ‘’ requests requires us to first search an item, select it and then enter booking times for each piece of equipment desired, which is very time consuming.
When patrons book equipment, they often need up to 10 or more pieces of equipment for the same booking period. This is quite inconvenient and increases the risk of mistakes in the process.

Make Approved Purchase Requests Editable
It would be very helpful if it was possible to edit Purchase Requests which have been approved. Our purchase requests default to 'electronic' material type, but if the electronic version of the requested item is unavailable and we need to order print copies instead, and the staff dealing with the request forget to change the material type before clicking on 'Approve and order', this means an order is created with the wrong material type and there is no way to fix this retrospectively. Copyright Statuses within Digitization Fulfillment requests
In Alma's fulfillment area, processing a library/patron digitization request often requires multiple steps to get copyright approval. Currently, the copyright clearance process is a single step - a check against the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), but if a publisher or rightsholder isn't part of CCC, the licensing process must be managed outside of Alma.
If the digitization request is a product of a citation (ie from Leganto or Alma COurse Reserves), then it would be helpful to include relevant course data and the number of students in the course as part of the request.

Provide patrons notification of reasons for failure to renew a loan
Please note: this idea is not ours originally. We voted for this as an institution as part of the first round of NERS 2018, where it was Req ID 5782. I noticed that it isn't in Ideas Exchange now (or at least I don't think so).

Alma Withdrawal Option
Our library needs the Withdraw function in Alma. We request a Deposit when we lend particularly valuable items. After the reader returns the book, the Deposit should be refunded. And this option is not available in Alma. There is a Pay option, but there is no Withdraw/Refund function, and we would like to be able to settle all financial matters in Alma (and not use external fiscal programs / cash registers).

Option to add user details to Pick from Shelf & in export list
For institutions that manage requests differently depending on User Group or other values in the user record, it would be useful to have this info displayed with the rest of the request data in a pick from shelf list. Alternatively it would be useful to have this data in the export list so that staff managing these requests have this additional data to hand.

Remove option to 'Renew' offered in a "Due Loans Letter" generated by a patron request.
Option to Renew is confusing to patrons who are denied when they try to renew a recalled item. Better not to offer, or appear to offer, it in a recall generated by a patron request.

Analytics reports by journal title for resource sharing borrowing requests
Our subject librarians have requested that they would like to be able to run reports in Alma Analytics by journal title for resource sharing borrowing requests. When title is selected in Analytics, it only provides the article title but we would like the journal title. Is this possible already or is it something that is planned for inclusion in future?

Allow for multi field searching in Borrowing Requests or a Keyword search that allows you to search patron and request details
To find a resource sharing request more easily allow searches to be across multiple fields. e.g Robertson cancer nursing. Searching Robertson as the patron and cancer nursing as keywords in the title.
