Add "Managed By Library" facet in "Monitor Requests & Item Processes"
There's a need to check the list in transit from a library to another library.
In "Monitor Requests & Item Processes" menu, there are 'Pick up location' or ' 'Owning Library' facets.
But there's no facet to check destination of the item.It will be very helpful, if the facet is given by Alma.

Make it possible to change the bib reference on orders with a CKB ID
Currently, it is not possible to change the bib reference (relink a bib) on orders which have a CKB ID, only those which have an MMS ID. I think it should be possible to change the bib reference on all orders.

Set the sender address to the address of the staff that made the PO and automatically forward the mail to the said staff.
With multiple librarians handling PO, this can help us keep better track of PO details and increase process efficiency.

Add publication date and subject fields to 'Portfolio Details for Consortia Members' analytics table
The bibliographic publication date and subject fields would be very useful additions to the 'Portfolio Details for Consortia Members' analytics table. Please include these fields.

The Lost item process fee (aka Lost item fine) should be automatically removed when an item is found.
The Lost item process fee (aka Lost item fine) should be refunded when an item is found. Currently, only the Lost Item Replacement Fee is refunded. This requires staff intervention, having to manually waive the fine. This is not always caught when books are returned through the drop slot, for example. It causes confusion for both patrons and staff when a fine remains on a patron's account for an item that has been found.

Retain Data in Interface Records
We really like the multiple tabs on interface records that allow us to record different admin logins and statistical information.
Publisher and vendor changes happen pretty frequently in our environment and we foresee needing to move interfaces from one vendor to another on occasion.
We just found out the hard way that when an interface is deleted from a vendor record and then added to another vendor record all the information that was in the various interface tabs gets wiped out. Can something be done to preserve the information that was hand keyed into the interface tabs?”62 votes -
Under Electronic Service Editor to have the ability to remove portfolios in bulk.
In the electronic service editor you have the ability to deleted all the selected portfolios. I would like the ability to simply remove the portfolios in bulk from the collection.

Clarification was provided regarding the functionality requested – which is not to delete portfolios but rather detaching portfolios from the collection and setting them as standalone portfolios.

Analytics - Last Return Date
It would be extremely useful to be able to report on the Last Return Date; this should be added to the Physical Items subject area alongside the Last Loan Date parameter

Copy subscription date range
When adding an invoice line for a POL which has subscription date it would be useful if there was an option to copy the POL Subscription dates to the ‘Subscription Dates Range’ in the invoice line rather than having to enter it. Especially if there are multiple invoice lines it would speed up entering the data and avoid errors.

Changing Holdings or Relinking Item is Possible Only in User Role Scope for SOURCE library
At present staff can move items from a library they don’t have a user role for, to a library they do have a user role for. For example, staff could move an item from the Rare Book Collection holding in one library to a Withdrawn holding in another library if they have the user role for the latter.
In the May 2021 release changing holdings for an item or relinking an item to a bibliographic record required the TARGET library to be within the scope of the user role. This prevents moving item or changing holdings for an item if…

Manage Deleted Repository--ability to select and restore a group of records
Manage Deleted Repository is a helpful feature helps us restore records that were mistakenly deleted. However, it only allows us to restore records one at a time by clicking a "Restore" button next to each record. This is not workable when a large number of records need to be restored. We need functionality that will allow us to select and restore groups of records.
The Restoring Records Removed or Changed by Jobs functionality (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/050Administration/070Managing_Jobs/020Manual_Jobs_on_Defined_Sets#Restoring_Records_Removed_or_Changed_by_Jobs) does not sufficiently address this need, as it can only restore repository content deleted by a job, not records deleted manually. Also, even in…

Persistent User Group Data in Borrowing Requests Subject Area
We would like to request that the Borrowing Requests subject area in Analytics captures and stores the patron's information (specifically the User Group) at the time of the transaction, rather than pulling the current status from the user record.
Currently, historical reports on borrowing requests reflect the requester's present-day group. If a student who made a request three years ago is now a staff member, or if their record has been deleted, the historical data is either overwritten or lost. This makes the data entirely out of context and renders historical analysis and longitudinal reporting impossible.
In the Fulfillment subject…

Add all patron-delivered letters to Selected Patron Letters opt-in/opt-out choices
It would be very useful to list all letters that are delivered to patrons in the Selected Patron Letters options. Letters like Loan Receipt and Borrowed By are conspicuously absent, but we have many patrons who don't want to receive an email every time they check something out. Others patrons do, so we don't want to globally disable these letters.
The fact that Selected Patron Letters includes letters that require patron action (Overdue Notice, Recall letter) but not letters that are more informational (Loan Receipt, Borrowed By) seems backwards. Regardless, all patron-delivered letters should be available for opting in/out.

Add a "delete" command in addition to the "withdraw" command
Currently, when a staff deletes an item record, the person can only use the "withdraw" command, even if the person is deleting an item record created by mistake. Adding an additional Delete command will distinguish the two purposes. We can then pull out WITHDRAW statistics in Design Analytics for the true withdrawn items, and not including the number of item records deleted for purposes of cleaning up data.

Update import profiles, so portfolios are listed in ALMA & Primo in the same order as the 856 fields in the bibliographic record
Currently electronic portfolios are generated from the 856 fields in the bibliographic record, but they appear in reverse order in ALMA and Primo. Vendors often have 856 for multiple volumes in their records and they often list URLs in the order of their importance. In my attached example, the vendor includes a link to browse the particle resource first, then links to search the collections which contains the resource. The links are listed in order of importance. It is confusing to the user to list v.2 before v.1 and less important searching options before the most direct way of access…

Allowing the ability to freely assign different jobs to different users.
There are cases where we want the user to only be able to handle a specific task that is beyond their user role, but currently in order to do that we have to assign them with roles that allows them access to jobs we don’t want them to have access to.

The "maximum renewal date" (max_renew_date) should be part of the fields that are provided by API
The max-renew_date is viewable in Primo, but if you use another Discovery it can't be displayed because it is not provided by API.

Differentiate “regular” Hold Request and Interested User Request or Change “Interested User Check” Order
Because Alma does not have the granularity to separate an Interested User request and a regular hold request, our Interested User hold process does not work.
When the “Non-Requestable Processes Fulfillment Unit Rule or Change Order” is configured to prevent “in process” items from being requestable, any items that have an Interested User that are in our Technical Services Work Order are treated as “in process” and therefore, the interested user request is blocked. While we do not want most “In Process” items to be requestable, we do want our Interested User requests to be fulfilled.
Because of this configuration,…

Editing receiving note from Received Items List
The Receiving Note (top right) displays when we are receiving one-time or continuous orders in the Received Items List but we cannot edit the note from this screen. We need to go back to the 'Receive New Material' list, click on the POL number, and edit the POL from there.
It would be useful for us to be edit the Receiving Note from the Received Items List while we can see the list of received and unrelieved issues.61 votes -
option to "Send Return Receipt" from "Return items"
When I'm returning books from the drop box, using "Return Items", I would really appreciate the option to "Send Return Receipt" in cases where the patron has accrued fines. It makes sense from a customer service standpoint - rather than the fine eventually going to billing (and adding the billing fee) without ever letting the patron know that they owe a fine. This is similar to the last idea posted, but subtly different, so I thought I'd go ahead and suggest this.
Thanks, Marian60 votes
