  1. Allow patron to create "Alias" that prints to Ful Hold Shelf Request Slip Letter

    When item that has a request is returned at the circulation desk, a Ful Hold Shelf Request Slip Letter is printed. There is a Patron name on the Print.
    There should be a possibility for a Patron to choose an "Alias" (Name or Number) that would be printed to the Letter.

    This could be an Address -field that patron can update in Primo. Then it would be printed to the slip letter.

  2. Provide multiple hold pickup options within a single Alma library

    We'd like to provide, within a single Alma library, the following pickup location/delivery options to our users: locker, circulation desk, or mail to home. At present, this is only possible through the creation of additional libraries.

  4. Allow automatic barcode generation in quick cataloguing form from Manage Patron Services

    The quick cataloguing form has a variant depending on whether you access it through Fulfillment > Manage Patron services > loan tab > create item or through Resources > add a physical item.

    In the first case (Fulfillment > Manage Patron services etc.), quick cataloguing is used in the case where a document is presented for loan but does not exist in the database. The barcode is then obligatory for loan, otherwise loan is not possible. The barcode cannot be automatically created.

  5. Make the Send Message emails more customisable

    Today it is possible to send messages to individual users from the General Information tab on the User Details screen, but the functionality is very basic. To be truly useful it should be possible to create your own templates and to customise them the same way we can customise Alma Letters. Without the usual letter components, such as a header with the institution logo, which are present in other Alma letters, the messages look unprofessional and can easily be mistaken as spam.   6. Library opening hours - prolong the "valid to" field in bulk

    It would be very helpful to have a possibility to prolong library opening hours in bulk. We have more than 40 libraries and now the only possibility to prolong library opening hours is to open each line with opening hours, save it and run the "Apply changes" job. With so many libraries with many lines for opening hours in the library calendar will be this change for many hours of clicking.

  8. Ability to add option to see if line has invoice to POL summaries

    When looking at a list of POLs, it would be useful to see in the summary or be able to add to the customised summary view, if the item has been invoiced.

  9. Add filter to Vendor Invoices tab

    I would like to be able to limit the invoices I see on the Invoice tab in the vendor records to a specific time frame or add a filter to have the ability to select the fiscal year of the invoices in the list.
    This will allow me to only see truly historic invoices when and if I need to.

  10. Allow filtering and sorting on all columns in "In process items"

    In the "In process items", some columns can be filtered (Process status, request filter, library) and some can be sorted but not all. It would be useful to be able to filter by "Modified by", "Modification date" and to sort by "Modification Date".

  11. Allow the Improve the display of "Item availability" for serials/journals

    When there are a lot of content in "Item availability", which is the case for some journals/serials, the display is hard to read. It would be useful to allow for css customization like in Primo.
    There should also be a line break for each 866 field.

  12. Analytics: Transit end time NOT registered

    Hello,
    Please see our public ticket 00903860.
    If you make a query containing the field "Physical item historical events->Event end date->event end date and time" with the conditional "event type description=physical item went into transit" on this field is NOT registered the end of transit process, but the start of the following process (if any). Please correct this behaviour.

  13. Make it possible to activate a portfolio without making the the whole collection active

    I often find portfolios in other collections that I do not have active. I activate it and then move it to our active collection. The collection it was moved from then is in our alma without active portfolios.

  14. 'Undo Last Action' option for Resource Sharing requests

    Many times, our library staff accidentally choose an unintended Resource Sharing status or scan the wrong barcode when shipping material. They either realize the error too late, or they instantly regret the results of the status change.

    Currently, there is no good way to undo this type of unintended error for both partners. Manually changing the status only changes it on your end, not the partner's end, which throws off the entire workflow. This usually forces the partners to create brand new requests in order to finish circulating the material. This is more work for everyone involved and throws off…

  15. Ability to combine two or more existing items into a kit without losing POL information

    If there's a way to do this, I can't find it.
    What I would like to have is to take existing/previously received items (presumably with their own barcodes) and then combine them under one barcode as a kit. In theory, you can use "Bond Items" to do this, but the problem is that you effectively lose your POL receiving info (as well as all other individual item info) from the combined items. In my organization's case, this can cause an issue for the auditing department if the is a question or issue involving one of the merged items since there…

  16. Correct article level target links for records without assigned volume or issue numbers

    For example, we see erroneous records (without working linking/availability) that are published ahead of print and which do not have specific volume/issue numbers. Until the publisher updates this information Primo links are directed to an error page.

  17. Rename the label for the 'Records processed' column to 'Records to be processed'

    This is a very minor thing, but the label for the new 'Records processed' column in job monitoring should be renamed to a more fitting 'Records being processed' or 'Records to be processed'.
    As long as the job shows up in the 'Running' tab the records have not been (fully) processed but the current label implies this, esp. in combination with the 'Progress' column.

    The German label has the same problem: "Verarbeitete Datensätze" --> should be "Zu verarbeitende Datensätze".

  18. Trial : request of a Trial viewer role

    There are 3 roles about Trials : administrator, operator and participant.
    But none gives access to the Trials and all information with only option to view (and not delete neither modify datas).
    A license viewer role exists in ALMA ; we request a similar Trial viewer role.

  19. Receiving Note - Ability to see when the note was last modified and by who

    It would be great if there was a way to see which operator added Receiving Note and when the note was added. We are trying to go through and update receiving notes, and are coming across some that we would like to get answers for. However, we aren't sure who placed the note in the first place and it could have been years ago.

  20. Local Authority Automation and Workflow

    Currently, Alma requires quite a bit of manual intervention when creating local authority records and linking them to the relevant records in the catalog. In order to relink an authority controlled field (ie. 1XX, 6XX, and 7XX) someone from the library must go through and change the second indicators from 0 to 7 and add a $2 with the local authority profile code. This can be done using normalization rules but it still must be done manually. There are no scheduled jobs that will do this.

    An example might be helpful to both show the problem and a possible solution.
