  1. Please add more fields to the 'Receiving Items List'

    Acquisitions --> Receive --> Continuous (orders) --> Manage Items

    We would be happy to have additional fields in the 'Received Items List':
    - Internal note 1
    - Internal note 2
    - Internal note 3
    - Public note

    Our colleagues in the Serials Department use Item Notes to document vendor responses (of reminded issues) or for notes that only concern individual issues. Having these information already displayed in the list without additional clicks would make their daily work much easier.

  2. Enable Auto Refresh on the Monitor Jobs Page

    At University of Tennessee we have found we are often waiting on lengthy system jobs to process before manually ran jobs are completed. It would be nice if this page had a built in auto-refresh to reload job percentage completion. It is rather tedious to repetitively click the refresh button to see if a job has began or made any substantial progress. If possible the button should be able to be clicked for instant refreshes but it should also refresh automatically in a timely matter.   3. Implement the ability to display when the Network Activity tab has content

    When you look up a patron in Fulfillment, if there's content under the Loans, Returns, or Requests tab, the top right corner of the tab is turned down. For schools that are part of a consortium/fulfillment network and have a Network Activity tab in addition to Loans, Returns, and Requests, the corner of the Network Activity tab is never turned down, even if the patron has items checked out from another institution in the network.   4. Make PO line Rollover Job work dependent on ledger and possibly fund codes.

    User Story. Currently we our Acquisition team have a different set of ledgers to our Subscription team. When we do a Rollover of funds and ledgers this is not an issue. However, when we are trying to test the PO Rollover it is difficult to separate out the PO Lines that are for the Acquisitions Rollover and the Subscriptions Rollover.
    Solution - It would be better if you could only roll over PO lines that were attach to a specific ledger (and possible set of fund codes). So that we could run the Acquisition rollover separately to the Subscriptions rollover.

  5. Please add the ability to use the facets for Archival Materials according to LDR pos. 8 = a

    Hello,

    Most archival materials are cataloged as follows:
    LDR pos. 6 = p
    LDR pos. 8 = a
    Currently, the facet in Alma show these kind of materials as "Undefined".
    Adding a facet of "Achieve Material" according to LDR pos.8 = a, would be very useful.

  6. Dara recommendation for parser parameter updates if there is a parser parameter override

    If a Alma user enters a parser parameter override for an eportfolio while ExLibris is investigating an update to the current parser parameter, it would be useful to receive a Dara recommendation when ExLibris updates the parser parameter so the user can remove the override because ExLibris will not remove local overrides and the override will still be in affeect.

  7. Alma should remove any whitespace before/after identifiers, barcodes, call numbers etc.

    Alma should automatically remove any leading or trailing whitespace in user identifiers, barcodes, call numbers etc. - any kind of identifiers entered manually or via copy&paste. Barcodes that are not working, users that are not matched at login are examples of real-life malfunctions that cost us time to analyze, all caused by a simple trailing blank entered in a form. It could be easily trimmed by Alma itself with neglectible implementation effort.

  8. Add API name as an Analytics field in Physical Items subject area

    I am looking to create an Alma Analytics report for quality control purposes for the numerous Ex Libris Developer Network's apps we use. Currently, the only way to monitor item record changes using the APIs in the Physical Items subject area is to select "Modified By" but the only option recorded is "exl-api". I cannot monitor which APIs are updating which records with this generic "exl-api" response. I would like to add either a different field to select API by name or update the "exl-api" response to "exl-api_[name of API]".

  9. Bulk waiving by date

    Currently we are unable to do bulk waives within set dates, for example - 01/04/2020 - 02/09/2020. We need to run bulk waives on fines accrued during lockdown periods.

  10. Searching titles with "&" vs. "and" in Alma

    In Primo VE, when a title in the 245 contains "&", if the title is searched with "and" in place of the ampersand the correct record will come up. This does not work the same way in Alma, however.

    In some cases, a 246 field could be added to have "and" spelled out but that is not a universal solution. We would like to ensure that "&" and "and" could be used interchangeably in Alma title searching as it seems to work with Primo.

  11. Toggle Provenance Codes for Display

    I'd like to propose an enhancement that allows provenance codes to be disabled/hidden instead of exclusively being deleted when they are no longer needed.

    Currently, provenance codes can't be "hidden" from selection if they are no longer needed. Once a provenance code is not used, it can only be deleted and then any items with that code previously assigned are left with a single character from the code and "not listed".

    We use provenance codes to note grant-funded resources, but once the grant is used up, we'd like to remove the provenance code option so it doesn't clutter up the…

  13. Ability to run a job on items already marked lost.

    We would like the ability to run a job on lost items from other institutions, to receive a special block. This block restricts the user from placing anymore request and also (do to an app we built) blocks their electronic access. It is quite effective in getting the patron to return items the institution would then be billed for.

    The problem is a block placed on the item prior to it going lost is removed when the item is marked lost and we are not able to run a job on the lost items that would actually apply the block.…

  14. add course name to the course tab on the user profile

    At the moment the only columns available in the Course tab on the user profile is course code and section.

    Course codes will often consist of a line of numbers so the option to add course name as a column would add great value.

  15. Add the Item call number in the Reading list

    Courses > Reading lists : On the “Edit reading list” screen, it should be possible to see the Item call number too (and not only the Call number). In our library we sometimes have several copies of a document which means that we have multiple items in one holding.
    In situation A, only one of the items is added to a Reading list.
    In situation B, different items are added to different Reading lists. But since you don't see the Item call number on the "Edit reading list" screen, it is not obvious which item is in which Reading list.

  16. Change override return date and time default value.

    Hi,

    Hope that there has a way to change the default time that comes up on "Override return date and time" from 00:00 to 23:59?

    Otherwise, it's an extra step for our staff backdating returns.

    If possible, it would be very useful to be able to use the ‘Release assignment’ function for a batch of requests in the same way in which we can ‘Reject Selected’.

    For our workflow, it’s infinitely more likely that we would need to release more than one request at a time instead of rejecting more than one at a time.

  18. Limit RS Digital requests to a certain number per day

    It should be possible to limit scan requests to a certain number day.
    Currently, it is only possible to limit to a certain number of active requests (which is confusing for the patrons).

    Add Activity Status: Rejected to "Monitor Requests & Item Processes"
    It would be extremely helpful to have the Activity Status Rejected on the "Monitor Requests & Item Processes" Activity Status Filters. If it could be added as an option with Active, Completed and All, that would remove a ton of extra time and labor for our fulfillment processes.

  20. Offer letter/notice digest option for users

    Currently, every book checked out and returned (if loan receipt and return receipt letters are enabled in Alma) will trigger an email notice to a patron. The option to set a daily digest of fulfillment activity would cut down on the number of letters received by patrons, which would help ensure that they're not overwhelmed with information and potentially miss a detail in the flood of emails.
