Show the same note both in Edit service and on Edit collection level
For a bether overwiev show the note addedd in collection service also under Edit collection. Saves a lot of work.

Always add newly implemented fields to API and Analytics
We have repeatedly run into issues with the following: Things implemented in the Alma UI are not automatically available via API and/or Analytics.
Recent examples include:
* June 2020 "Can't edit restricted users" - Ex Libris offered to add this to the API, but not to Analytics
* CDI Search activation status - as of now it is not clear whether we will have access to this via APITo be honest: I am not willing to open an idea or NERS every time Ex Libris thinks it's nice to have something in the Alma UI, but do not care to implement for the API and/or Analytics. And I thought: Maybe neither are you.
There might be cases where it actually makes sense to add a field to only one of the three systems. But these systems are interlinked and Ex Libris should handle them as such. Only in very rare cases such fields should only be available in Alma UI and there must be information included in the release notes why exactly something was not added to the API and/or Analytics.

Update Resource-sharing request through the ALMA API
Currently with the API, the only update option possible is shipping a resource sharing request. We request the option to perform other updates, e.g. change the status.

User information in Print slip report
We are currently using the print slip report for our click and collect service but for us it is missing some vital user information around the requester. We would like to see the primary identifier in the report. We tried to deal with this in analytics but we also require the item barcode and this caused problems where there are multiple items under a title. The print slip report contains all the information (including the multiple barcodes) we need except for more extensive user information to help staff deal with this off site. The name is not enough, particularly where we see common names. Would really appreciate this extra info going in. Currently we have to look everyone up by surname and hope we can get the info.

Time to reshelve not applicable if there is a request
After testing the Time to reshelve, we found that if an item is requested, the delay for reshelve is not applicable.
It make sense in a way that the on hold shelf is not really a reshelve, but we would like to take into account the delay for reshelve for requested items too. In case of quarantaine.23 votes -
Delay for hold notification - up to 5 digits
Even if a library is closed to the public, the staff are working.
When they scan a returned loan, a notification is sent but the patron cannot retrieve his document due to the closed library.
It would be beneficial for us to be able to delay the notification for a week.
We would like to get up to 5 digits the delay for hold notification. Currently, it's 3 digits max, 999 minutes (16 hours).19 votes -
Making Copy to Community / Network / Institution configurable
When searching for authoritiy records, there are options to copy an authority to Network or to Community or even to the Institution zone.
We understand there may be institutions and consortia administrating different kind of vocabularies at different levels, but this is not the case for all. We see in our consortium too many mistakes due to catalogers selecting the wrong button when importing a record. We therefore strongly suggest making all these options configurable, so that it will be possible to hide the buttons.

Online payment - Transaction ID optional
Actually, when choosing Online as payment method, the transaction ID is mandatory. We would like it to be optional, for our staff to be able to validate a payment without having to fill out this ID when on the circulation desk.

Purchase Request additional citations types
We are trying to utilize the purchase request form in Primo to have users request streaming video through Alma. Streaming videos are very popular nowadays but unfortunately there is not an option for this material type and citation in the purchase request form.
Can you add more citation options? Besides books or journals there is not an option that matches the streaming video material type. It would be really helpful to have a streaming citation or video since this resource is very popular among our users.
The request processing has become very drudgery and entering this information over and over again isn't productive. We would like to implement material requests through Alma and fully utilize the purchase request form in Primo. Thank you!

Separate the ability to delete holdings and items so they depend on different privileges and roles.
Currently, the ability to delete holdings with no inventory and to withdraw items is controlled by the same user role and privilege. 'Physical Inventory Operator Extended' role, 'Physical Inventory Delete' privelege.
This idea proposes to separate those functions into 2 roles:
one will be able to delete empty holdings records (and may be assigned to a broader population of users)
and the other (the 'extended' role) will be able to withdraw items - which is considered a more sensitive action.

The 'Delete Holdings' link in the 'List of Holdings' page, which was formerly visible to users with the 'Physical Inventory Operator' role, is now visible only to users who have the 'Physical Inventory Operator Extended' role.This change is a problem because not all the operators can have the physical Inventory Operator Extended role: this role allows operators to delete copies and it is quite dangerous.
It would be better for us that operators with the physical inventory role keep the permission to move copies from an holding to another and then delete the empty holding. (let’s think of a correction of call numbers)
We propose the creation of a second Physical Inventory Operators’ role :
One without the possibility of delete empty holdings
and another one with the possibility of delete them.
So that, according to the job that operators have to do, they could keep doing the work deleting empty holdingsCurrently, the ability to delete holdings with no inventory and to withdraw items is controlled by the same user role and privilege. Managing Collections - more options for searching and display
In the Collection Resource Editor (Alma) - it would be really useful to have greater flexibility for searching within a collection. Can we have the option to search by MMS Id and keyword? At the moment only Title and Publisher are available.
This would be really useful when you don't know the specific title/publisher you are looking for - so you want to do a keyword search within the collection to browse. Also if you know the specific MMD id that would be useful too.

Alma new layout: better visual distinction between Alma Main Menu and Alma Configuration

One major change is that the Main Menu (with the Alma functional areas: Acq, Resources, Fulfillment,...) is now on the left side. The Alma Configuration Menu is also on the left side.
It can be difficult to visually distinguish between the Main Menu and the Configuration Menu. (Please see "Alma new layout, Main Menu vs Config Menu.png")
For example, I think I'm in the Alma Main Menu so I click on Resources to Manage Import Profiles. But I'm actually in the Configuration Menu so when I click on Resources I go to Resource Management settings.
Is there a way to better distinguish (with distinct colors or maybe a large gear icon at the top of the Configuration menu) when the user is in the Alma Main Menu versus Alma Configuration?
The current/old layout clearly indicates that the user is in Alma Configuration. (See "Alma old layout, Config Menu.png")

"Display in Discovery" from any screen in Alma
Make the Display in Discovery action available in any screen/view of a record in Alma, not just in a repository search or in portfolio lists. There is often the need to see how a resource displays in Primo when working in an item, orders, and other areas of records.

Create a Set of Inventory from a Title Set
It would be very useful to be able to take a set of titles, and convert it into a set of inventory attached to those titles. Specifically, I would like to create a Portfolio set from a set of Electronic Titles. I have regular need to move groups of portfolios from one local e-collection to another. I have only a list of ISBNs to start with, which I use to create an itemized Electronic Titles set. However, moving portfolios requires a Portfolio set, which can only be created with Portfolio IDs. It is very cumbersome to arrive at the appropriate list of Portfolio IDs when starting with ISBNs: create the title set; use a publishing profile to publish the title set with inventory enrichment to include the portfolio ID number (export job options do not export the portfolio ID); extract the Portfolio IDs from the published file; upload those Portfolio IDs into an itemized portfolio set.
By extension, it should be possible to also create a set of Physical Items from a Physical Titles set, and a set of Digital Files from a set of Digital Titles, as creating itemized set for these invetory types are similaryly limited by what identifiers are accepted.

There should be a separate category for Transfers - along with Allocations and Expenditures.
At the Fund level, there should be a separate category for Transfers. Right now, if a transfer is made, the allocation changes. There should be Original Allocation (the original amount, doesn't change), Transfers, Current Allocation (original plus Transfers) and Expenditures. It's important for me to know what the original allocation is. If the Transfers are not reflected, what is shown with only the Allocations and Expenditures gives a distorted picture of the money for that fund. You can get a break down of Allocations, Transfers and Expenditures in Analytics - why can't it be shown in the ledger?

Separate field for borrowing request statuses to display in My Library Account
The borrowing request statuses in Alma are configurable, so that you can change the text that appears for both library staff and the user (in My Library Account).
However, we would like the ability to have a separate field where the status can be configured for the user which affects the display in My Library Account only. This is because we would like to provide detail in these statuses for our staff, that our users do not need to see.
For example, for the borrowing request status 'Request sent to partner' you may want to retain this status for library staff to see in Alma, but for users you may wish simply for 'In process' to display in My Library Account.

Possibility for turning off Auto-Assigning in task list when opening or editing an item without completing the task in the Alma Config.
When working in several different task-lists in Alma, you are automatically assigned to any Item that you open and/or edit and exit out of without completing the task. This applies to items in the Purchase Request, Invoices (in Review) and Electronic Activation Task list and more.
This may be perfectly logical for certain institutions' workflows, but for others it may be cumbersome to have this across all task lists.
It would be great to have the ability to turn this auto-assigning on or off for the different task lists in the Alma Configuration so that people could open/edit and close an item (without completing the task) and still keep it in the Unassigned tab.

It's not possible to view which portfolios in a collection have parser override values. Currently, the value is included in the parser parameters value in extended export reports.
It would be helpful with managing portfolios to have a way to see when a portfolio has a parser override value. That way, we could check on those portfolios and make sure the CZ parser value has been corrected.
Please, include parser override values in it's own column in extended export report or have another way of highlighting when an override value exists.

Ability to delete all parser override values using change portfolio job
Currently, it's not possible to remove parser override values using the change portfolio job. This would be helpful when clearing those values from a collection of portfolios after the CZ portfolios have been updated by Ex Libris.
