There should be a separate category for Transfers - along with Allocations and Expenditures.
At the Fund level, there should be a separate category for Transfers. Right now, if a transfer is made, the allocation changes. There should be Original Allocation (the original amount, doesn't change), Transfers, Current Allocation (original plus Transfers) and Expenditures. It's important for me to know what the original allocation is. If the Transfers are not reflected, what is shown with only the Allocations and Expenditures gives a distorted picture of the money for that fund. You can get a break down of Allocations, Transfers and Expenditures in Analytics - why can't it be shown in the ledger?

I recently came across discussions about payment processing in platforms like winred, and it made me think about how important it is to have clear, distinct categories for financial transactions in any system. Just as separating transfers in Alma would improve efficiency, having well-defined payment categories in platforms like winred reviews https://winred.pissedconsumer.com/review.html ensures transparency and better user experiences. Reviews often highlight how critical it is for users to easily understand where their money is going and how it’s being processed.
