  1. RS - show more fields (such as Note) for Partner when using Add partner

When selecting a Partner in Resource Sharing Borrowing Request , one can only see 4 fields (see attachment) for the Partner. It would be useful if other fields, such as Note , might be enabled. There are many criteria and information helpful when slecting a partner, and in the real world they are often saved in the Note field, and this field should be visible at the step of selecting the partner.

  2. Add Fine/Fee ID and Transaction ID columns to User Details Fines/Fees tab

In the Fines/Fees tab of the User Details screen add Fine/Fee ID and Transaction ID to the list of columns that staff can choose to display. Currently the Fine/Fee ID and Transaction ID is only accessible via an Analytics report and thus aren’t available until the next day after any updates to the user’s fine/fees occur. Our staff need these IDs when troubleshooting fine/fee problems which means that users are negatively impacted by the Analytics lag time.

  3. Add ability to customize the data exported by Bursar integration profile using System = Other

When creating an integration profile of type Bursar which uses a ‘System’ setting of ‘Other’ there should be more granular control over what data is included in the export.

If a ‘System’ setting of ‘Other’ is selected, then a 'Data' tab should be made available which will allow you to select via checkbox what fines/fees and user data is included in the exported file. The data available should at minimum include, but not necessarily be limited to, what is accessible via API.

  4. Add export start/effective date to Bursar integration profile configuration settings

When creating a new Bursar integration profile, we want to be able to limit the transactions being exported to only those generated after a specific date. This is in addition to ‘Time before export (days)’ setting. We've never used an integration profile to export fines/fees to be transferred to our bursar office and have instead used the API. We're now stuck in a situation where we can't switch to using an integration profile because without a start/effective date there's no way to prevent the exported files from creating double billing of transactions that have already been transferred to our bursar…

  5. Addition of the invoice fields 'Invoice-number' e 'Invoice-date' to the Physical Items subject area

It would be useful if Alma Analytics could allow the creation of a report of newly purchased physical items including not only bibliographic data but also administrative and invoice data, such as for example the number and date of the invoice. Currently, the 'Physical Items' subject area only contains the 'Invoice Status' field and it is not possible to integrate it with the 'Invoice-number' and 'Invoice-date' fields present in the 'Funds and Expenditure' subject area.

  6. Do not allow invoices with a mismatch in payment method between vendor account and invoice from going into Approval status

It should not be possible to submit an invoice with a payment method that differs from those listed on the vendor account.
We have vendors who only accept certain types of payment, such as wire transfers. This can be documented at the account level of vendor records. However, an invoice can still be manually created that uses a payment method not used by that vendor, and it can go all the way through to issue a payment the vendor cannot accept, such as a check. There is a blue alert, but it does not block submission of the invoice. Testing…

  7. Bulk receiving via CSV/Excel

Receiving a list of items via a bulk excel spreadsheet or CSV file. This would allow users to avoid mistakes when receiving a large inventory one at a time. For example, when adding an item to a holding record, if all items are issues but the default option is book, there may be human error and they forget to change it to issue. if it was an excel spreadsheet, they could simply fill the cells and copy them for the entire column to insure it would all be issues. Needed columns for magazine receiving at minimum should be month, year,…

  8. Commitment to retain blocked by location

The commitment to retain functionality is really great for managing shared print collections, but not all physical locations should be eligible for retention commitments. For example, there are certain locations that might hold rented/leased material or material that the library cannot commit to retaining long term. Items in those locations should not present those fields. Can that be added to physical item configuration?

  9. Addition of the Accrued fines field in the Fines and Fees subject area in Alma Analytics

It would be great if there was an option in Alma Analytics to create a report with a list of people with a specific amount of accured fines if they had returned overdue documents on a given day (the day before actually).

  10. Address issue with incorrect fiscal period in Update PO Line API when accrual mode configured

When activating ledgers for the current and upcoming fiscal years in Alma during API creation, there is an issue where the selected ledger (FY cycle) consistently defaults to the future financial year instead of the current one. As a consequence, the team is compelled to manually adjust the funds to ensure accurate registration against the correct fiscal year. This manual intervention hinders the full automation of the API for DDA activation, and continuous orders renewals via API, thus requiring reliance on manual checks and interventions.
We experience this with Rialto/Alma API integration and EBSCOnet/Alma API integration.

    For Rialto we utilize…

  11. Add the ability for users to view current AFN checkout information via the My Account feature on self-check machines.

Currently, when a user accesses My Account via a self-check machine, they are unable to view any information pertaining to their active AFN checkouts. We opened a support case with Ex Libris, reporting these findings and providing details provided by our self-check vendor (mkSolutions), and their final decision was that this functionality is not currently supported, requiring an enhancement request.

Enhancement Request: Add the ability for users to view current AFN checkout information via the My Account feature on self-check machines.

  12. Add Fulfillment Jobs Configuration : a daily aggregation letter of returned items

The existing "Return Receipt Letter" is sent in two situation:
    1. when librarian clicked the done button at 'Manage Patron Services' screen,
    2. After scan each item at "retrun item"
this letter is set in Circulation Desk configuration, user recieve letters after return items each time.

we suggest Alma create a new Fulfillment Jobs Configuration* to sent "return receipts", like the existing configuration "Loans - Overdue and Lost Loan Job".

The new configuration could reflect all of the items the patron returned at the same day, and list all items for the patron on one "returned receipt". Configured as such,…

  13. Add "Copy ID" to loan information in Manage Patron Services

When viewing a patron's current loans in "Manage Patron Services", Alma will display information like the loaned item's barcode, but it doesn't display its "Copy ID". When libraries have multiple copies of one item, it can be difficult to tell which item is out on loan to a specific patron without leaving the Patron Services page and going to view the item itself. "Copy ID", like "Barcode", is a unique identifier for an item and should be visible in the same way.

  15. Send email from the pol to the interested user?

    Acquisitions
Sometimes we receive a response from a supplier that we want to communicate to the interested user: the high price, or the offer of another edition, etc.
We think it would be interesting to be able to communicate this information to the user without having to leave the POL. Also the information would reach the user with the POL information to which reference is made.

  16. Adding the possibility to display the portfolio lists and the item list when creating a lending request from search

When creating a lending request from search, it would be nice if we could display the portfolio list and the items in order to have more info about the availability (coverage and status)

  17. Sorting electronic collections by "Public name (override)"

When searching for electronic collections, results lists can currently only be sorted by collection name or by rank. It would be very useful if the list could also be sorted by "Public name (override)".

Currently, for each entry in the result list, the name from the field "Public name (override)" is displayed first, followed by the collection name - which equals the public name - in parentheses. However, the alphabetical order is determined by the public name. This results in a collection list sorted by the names which are in second place and in parantheses. This is rather confusing and…

  18. Reduce the number of recurring order types.

The number of recurring order types is confusing and causes issues not only when ordering new serials but when processing them. Even Ex Libris staff often have trouble explaining the differences between standing order types and if we need to change an order type someone with the authorization has to run a job. The operational differences don't make sense. Reports can easily distinguish between different order types from the Material type and Reporting Codes fields.
This change would make recurring order management much simpler and more efficient.

  19. Make "Always show current location" the default

Please either make "Always show current location" checkbox ticked by default or allow a system configuration to toggle whether it is force displayed. It is always more useful to see the location than not.

  20. Ability to search for duplicate varying text in two different Marc subfields within the same MARC field

Using the Indication rule "recordHasDuplicateSubfields", it is possible to find duplicate subfields that have the same value within the same field, but it is not possible to find duplicate subfields if the subfield content is different.
For example, we can't find a 245 field that contains two different 245 b subfields.
Having this possibility would greatly help us to identify cataloguing errors.
