  2. Allow network zone administrators to unlink bibs from member institutions

    In many cases member institutions share records with the NZ that go against the consortium's policy. In these cases the only recourse is to ask the member institution to "copy to catalog", which unlinks the record, allowing the NZ to delete the bib record. This can be cumbersome in a large consortium. It should be possible for the NZ admins to perform this action, i.e. while working in the NZ to unlink a bib from member IZs, as though any institutions holding that bib had selected "copy to catalog".

  3. Make images of material bigger

    Please make the image of the book, DVD, etc. much bigger in the search results. Students can often identify their titles if they can clearly see the cover image. It would help reference work.

  5. Download COUNTER data as tabular data in addition to JSON

    Alma does a good job in harvesting COUNTER data via SUSHI, and Alma Analytics is a good place for analysis. Sometimes, it is necessary to work with the data in a program such as Excel. Currently, we can only download the COUNTER reports that Alma harvests as a JSON file. It is a process to convert this file into a spreadsheet format (CSV, XLSX, TSV, etc.).

    I suggest that Alma offer the option to download the COUNTER reports in tabular format, as a CSV or XLSX file.

  6. Closed Library Due Date Management- new option for short Loan Items

    For Short Loan Items (due time in hours)
    If for some reason the library is still open (partial opening for query) even though it is closed for Alma
    It is essential to have the option:
    Move to the end of the day
    (the system would take the library closing time)

    There are certain reports that I would like to run in Overlap and Collection Analysis periodically. It would be helpful if I could rerun a past report instead of having to enter all the criteria every time.

  8. Remove the ability to set the "Default View" on the Views List

    When in the "Configure Views" area, our university has multiple views, including development views. It has happen MANY times that the selected "Default View" gets accidentally changed. We have multiple users going into this list and sometimes we don't notice the views had been accidentally changed.

    Can we remove this ability within the "Views List" page and change it to checkmarks or be prompted to save the changes of the "Default View" if any changes are made? I would still like the ability to set the Default View but only have the ability to select after clicking on the "..."…

  10. Create run now button for Upload Electronic Holdings integration profiles

    Currently, if the integration for an upload electronic holdings profile fails, you have to edit the profile, click save and run, and then monitor the job.

    Users should be able to right click or use the ellipsis button and choose Run Now from the Integration Profile List for any Upload Electronic Holdings integration profiles.

  11. Enhance SUSHI admin job reports with additional details for troubleshooting purposes

    Are there plans for ExLibris to bulk up the details provided in the admin jobs reports for executed SUSHI requests? The admin reports currently lack any meaningful details that will help with re-formatting/ troubleshooting usage report errors. Manual usage report uploads that fail will list the errors and give the specific columns/ rows that were problematic but the admin job reports provides don't include this information. Instead you have to contact ExLibris Support with the relevant process ID number to get that information which is cumbersome and time-consuming.

  12. Create formatting for easily readable printing/PDF of Reading Lists and Pick from shelf lists

    Our reserves team would greatly benefit from having a printable or downloadable PDF option of a full reading list. Currently, you can export the list to an excel sheet, but this is not easily readable or convenient for printing/otherwise storing data from past semester's requests. Additionally, it would be excellent if a similar option were available in Pick from Shelf. To pull items now, we need a printed sheet for each book, which is wasteful and redundant. If there were a single function to print the book info on a full list of needed items, it would save a lot…

  13. Physical titles results-- option to Sort by call number

    Currently, a Physical titles search by call number does NOT give us the option to Sort by call number. In order to sort by call number, we have to do a Physical items search. Having the option to sort by call number (Asc or Desc) would be extremely useful. The display options for Physical titles vs. Physical items are different. If your primary search for most projects is by Physical titles, it is problematic not to have a sort option by Permanent call number.

  14. Add to the Purchase request's "Approve and Order" action an option to select a PO line template.

    This idea was submitted on behalf of Alma's Product management team as we would like to understand the need and use cases of the idea's description below - any comment is welcome.

    Currently it is possible to save PO line as a template and utilize this template any time a new order is created (using the designated "Load from template") option (see attached image 1).

  15. Allow us to suppress the License from display when it is not ready with status of "Draft" or review status "In review"

    For those waiting for review licenses, we will have status "Draft" and review status "In Review". These licenses are waiting to be checked and the fields are not verified for correctness. But now once the licenses are created with inventory added, all licenses are displayed out for the user, even with status “Draft” and “In Review”.

    It will be great if only the licenses with “active” and “accepted” status can be displayed, but not the “Draft” and “In review” license that they are waiting to be verified.

  16. Please add Description field to all three tabs in Patron Services page: Loan tab, Return tab, and Request tab

    Currently, there is no Description field in Patron Services page. Library staffs are not able to immediately recognize which issue, volume, or number is loaned, returned, or requested by a patron at a glance in three tabs at this page.

    When circulation desk staff help patron to check or see their loans in Loan tab, Description field is not visible.
    Or, if a patron requests different issues under the same title at a time, when he/she comes to circulation desk and wants to pick up his/her requested items, library staff will need to spend more steps to check the Description…

  17. Remove the gender field

    Entirely remove the gender field (from staff-facing patron data form) or allow us to grey it out so it is not collected. There is no need to collect gender information about library patrons. This is a matter of equity and inclusion.

  19. Restore ability to attach "Access Service - Subscription" POL type to inventory

    We have several resources with POL types of "Access Service -Subscription", but we no longer have the ability to attach them to the relevant electronic collection or portfolio. For example, our British Periodicals electronic collection had the access service POL attached in March 2017, but we're unable to attach the same POL type to our Times Literary Supplement historical archive collection as anything other than an Additional POL. We also have over 200 active Kanopy streaming video POLs that we're unable to attach to the portfolio.

  20. Digitization Slips to automatically print

    We would like for the digitization slips to automatically print upon scan in of an item (like the slips print for Hold requests).

    At the moment it can be manually printed but we would like an opt in to automatically print.

    Our workflow is:

    Item placed on pick list, collected from shelf.
    Item Scan In
    If a hold, slip printed
    If a digitization, no slip, even if automatic print is ticked yes.

    As we have a number of sections within the library using the workflow, it is easier to print the slip and have all details on it rather than…
