How can we improve Alma?

Searchability for MARC 361

We would like to be able to search MARC-361 in Alma, if possible also specifically in subfields of the 361.

Hi everyone, thank you for supporting this idea.

As of February 2026 release, Alma supports defining custom indexes for each institution based on Bibliographic data. This new infrastructure provides the flexibility for each customer to create their own search indexes tailored to their Bibliographic data.

    Hello, Liza Voloshin,

    thank You for customizing search indexes. In our sandbox we were already able to integrate 361 into searching.

    Following February release (for us beginning on 9th of February) we will be able to use our 361 index then.

    We would also like MARC-361 to be analyzable via analytics. Here we need the indicator / subfield sensitivity.
