  1. Configure return (pop-up) notes

    Dear,

    New Alma UI: when you now return an item that is requested, you get a pop-up with an overload of notes, most of which are not useful and which make you search quite a bit for the information you are actually looking for.
    In any case, (see attachment) those last two notes are redundant. The first two are also redundant, but perhaps that second note is useful in case it concerns a lost book and no fine is generated at the time of return.

  2. Add 'Replacement Cost' field to Physical Items table in Requests subject area

    It would be helpful to have replacement costs field available in the physical items table from within the Requests subject area. Would allow for easier reporting on values of missing and lost stock etc.

  4. Implement the ability to display when the Network Activity tab has content

    When you look up a patron in Fulfillment, if there's content under the Loans, Returns, or Requests tab, the top right corner of the tab is turned down. For schools that are part of a consortium/fulfillment network and have a Network Activity tab in addition to Loans, Returns, and Requests, the corner of the Network Activity tab is never turned down, even if the patron has items checked out from another institution in the network.   5. Allow multiple levels of nesting for functions in Dynamic URLs

    I am requesting the ability to nest the same or different functions multiple times (at least five, but preferably many more).

    Use Case: Sometimes it is necessary to replace multiple strings in a dynamic URL.

    For example, I need to replace three different characters for Nexis Uni:
    1) Replace + with a space
    2) Replace & with an empty string (effectively removing &s)
    3) Replace : with an empty string (effectively removing :s)

    This is what the dynamic URL would look like:

  6. Export normalized call numbers for requested items in the "Print Slip Report" feature

    When the "Print Slip Report" feature in Fulfillment > Resource Requests > Pick From Shelf is exported into a spreadsheet, LC call numbers are included—but normalized call numbers are not. This leads to less efficiency in pulling requested items (e.g., size designations sort under "Q" for "Quarto," LC class numbers of differing length sort improperly). Please add a normalized call number column to the output for proper sorting by call number.

  7. Run Update BLDSS Requests job more frequently/at better times

    The Update BLDSS Requests job runs at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., which is effectively once a day. It needs to run more frequently and at more sensible times, i.e. 2 + times during the working day, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., so that Event Type updates from the BL are more frequent and timely.

    Thank you for your idea, the functionality is available as of the March release:
    You may now send an asynchronous resource sharing request to the British Library using the BLDSS API without a successful locate result. If a match is unsuccessful because the locate process fails or if the locate process was not run, the request can now be sent.

  8. Facets on reading lists page do not behave as expected

    When selecting 'up to a week ago' or 'up to three days ago' from the facets on the Reading Lists page, I expect to see everything modified from today up to either a week ago or up to three days ago. Instead, selecting 'up to three days ago' excludes lists modified today or yesterday. Selecting 'up to a week ago,' excludes lists modified today, yesterday, and up to three days ago. In response to my Salesforce case, Ex Libris Support said this is how the facets are designed to work and to submit an enhancement request.

  9. Adding newly registered patrons to the 'Recent patrons'-list

    Being able to see patrons entered in a session is very useful, but it would be great if the recent list also included new patrons registered during the session.

    Often times, patrons for instance request registration before they find the books they want to borrow. If we could easily access their patron services page when they return with them, it would streamline the process.

    If a Patron Physical Item request is cancelled via a job there is no Cancellation Reason given to the end user.
    It would useful to have a list of reasons that we could use for this letter.

  11. Analytics shared dimension

    Hi,
    We would like to be able to create a report showing remaining charges listed by user and include the block reason.

    The charge data is in subject area "Fines and Fees" and the block reason is in subject area "Users".

    We raised this as a case (06837145) but were told it's not possible without a shared dimension, this is the request to create that shared dimension.

  12. Requests Operator role in a profile

    When you set "requests operator" role in a profile, the Scope and Circulation Desk are mandatory.
    It'll be better not to record scope and circulation desk in the profile so they can be set when using the profile.
    Currently if you want to set the scope on another library than the one defined in the profile, you have to suppress the circulation desk, then change the scope, then set the circulation desk.

  13. Additional SMS possibilities using webhooks

    I would like to suggest additional SMS possibilities when using webhooks. Currently, there are only four SMS message possibilities triggered when using webhooks (Borrowing Activity Letter, Fulfillment Cancel Request Letter, Loan Status Notice, and On Hold Shelf Letter). Others that would be very helpful to include with webhooks are:

    Courtesy Letter, sent to patrons before their items are due

    Ful Overdue and Lost Loan Notification Letter, sent to patrons after their items have become overdue

    Aber direkt anzeigen bei den Requests lässt es sich (momentan) nicht. Welches Exemplar/Strichcode betroffen ist, lässt sich auch erst erkennen, wenn der Request einen bestimmten Status hat (zum Beispiel “On Hold Shelf).

  15. preferred language

    We are a bilingual institution. Sometimes we need to email users regarding requests, etc. In Manage Patron Services, we have to go all the way into Edit User Info in order to see the user's Preferred Language. It would be easier if the area on the right that contains User Notes and other details (see file) also contained Preferred Language.

  16. Add a note to patron field in Digitization Department

    It would be handy to have a way to include a note to the patron when fulfilling digitization requests. For example, a patron request chapters 1 and 17 from a 12 chapter book.

    I could process their request for chapter 1 and include a note saying "According to Fair Dealing guidelines we can only scan and send one chapter from this book. There is also no chapter 17 in this book so I've only included chapter 1."

  17. Add text message notification option for patron overdue notices

    Allowing patrons to request text message notifications for overdue items would better ensure that they receive the overdue reminder notices, increasing the likelihood of having the materials returned more quickly, and decreasing the number of bills and collection efforts. Text messages are received on a more timely basis, while emails are often checked infrequently and can be more easily missed. Asking patrons at check out what the best way to contact them regarding overdue items and being able to offer text message notices (at their request, since some people do not have unlimited texting on their mobile device plan)…

  18. Manage Purchase Requests - facet by 'Assigned to:' and display Library notes

    Add to the facets the option to filter by 'Assigned to:'

    Also the option to see the notes tab details when viewing all Manage Purchase Requests 'in review' .
    We can see the requestor note but not any Library notes from the Manage Purchase Requests screen to make this information easier to review.

  19. More Options for Sorting in Pick from Shelf List

    It would be really helpful to be able to sort items in the Pick from Shelf list by date. The facets are somewhat helpful, but sorting by date would make it more clear which requests have come in more recently today, for institutions that are monitoring requests as they come in during the day.

    Sorting by some of the other facets would probably also be helpful when you don't want them filtered out, just sorted: location, pickup institution, material type, etc.

  20. Allow MarcEdit Alma Integration to update Community Zone records (via API)

     Ex Libris has allowed us to edit Community Zone records, except 022 field.  Currently, we can only open the records in the metadata editor and add a MARC field one at a time.  Using MarcEdit Alma Integration to update a record one at a time results in an error, because the Alma API documentation states that “…updating a linked Community Zone record is currently not supported.”
    
      I am requesting Ex Libris to allow updating Community Zone records via MarcEdit Alma Integration., so that we can update records one at a time, instead of adding MARC fields to a record
