  1. Do not allow invoices with a mismatch in payment method between vendor account and invoice from going into Approval status

    It should not be possible to submit an invoice with a payment method that differs from those listed on the vendor account.
    We have vendors who only accept certain types of payment, such as wire transfers. This can be documented at the account level of vendor records. However, an invoice can still be manually created that uses a payment method not used by that vendor, and it can go all the way through to issue a payment the vendor cannot accept, such as a check. There is a blue alert, but it does not block submission of the invoice. Testing…

  2. Display collection "Public Name" instead of "Public name (override)" in Import Profile Details

    We repeat the use of "Public name (override)" to aggregate several local collections under the same heading in our discovery layer. In the example I am dealing with, we use "Project Muse eBooks", but have separate collections for each year of titles. The import profile that we use to load these titles displays the override name, which means that I am unable to tell which collection we are loading into without editing the profile and selecting a collection anew.

    I would love it if we could use the "Public Name" of the collection in Inventory Information tab of the import…

  3. Ability to define a shipping address per PO line

    We need the ability to define a different shipping address than the library billing address per PO line. The address should be included in the XML of all vendor-facing letters, be searchable, and be included in the Excel lists exported from the search results.

    Use Cases:
    - A central library manages subscriptions to journals and newspapers that are sent directly to end users by the vendor.
    - Several libraries are integrated into a single Library in Alma but send orders independently to vendors, expecting delivery to their local addresses.

  5. Filter hold shelf by location

    The Active Hold Shelf and Expired Hold Shelf both lump everything together: holds for our own library and interlibrary loans (location = resource sharing library). It would be most useful to be able to filter and view only one type of those at once, such as only the ILLs on the Active Hold Shelf. Right now there are no filters at all on the Active or Expired Hold Shelves.

  6. Bulk edit fund summary information

    At the moment, being able to set fund encumbrance/expenditure limits, or # days prior/post fiscal period for encumbrance/expentures has to be done in each fund and ledger separately. But many times, there are several funds that have to be changed all at once. Create a job that allows for bulk editing of this information so that editing funds is less time consuming.

  7. Automatically assign purchase requests to certain users

    There needs to be a way to automatically assign purchase requests to a certain staff member. I'm thinking specifically in the case of citations that come to Alma from Leganto, but I'm sure there are other instances. It makes much more sense to designate a specific person(s) who these requests should go straight to rather than having them go to an unassigned queue and the staff member(s) having to sift through it and manually assign things to themself.

  8. Default options for tasks should be configurable by the library

    I have a support case open (Case 06893601) that requests the ability to change the default option for “In-House Use”. This support case and others like it could be addressed by allowing the library to configure whether an action is the default.
    A search of the Idea Exchange for "change default" results in a lengthy list from all areas, the cumulative effect of which clearly illustrates the need for this change.

  9. Mass deletion of purchase requests

    Purchase requests can be mass rejected but cannot be mass deleted after that, so they need to be deleted individually, which is frustrating and time-consuming.

  10. Add Associated PO Line field to New Order Import Profile & Update PO Lines job

    Alma lacks the functionality for batch adding an Additional PO Line to a group of PO Lines. Because Alma lacks this functionality, a great deal of manual work is required.

    Here is the use case: we made a large prepayment (the parent POL), and now we are creating technical orders (the child POLs) for all the items we chose to purchase with that pre-payment.   11. Make ISSN field clickable

    When searching in ALMA for e.g. a journal based on MMS ID and get a result, I miss being able to click on ISSN and get a new search result with all titles that match the ISSN.

  12. Add "Prefer Open Access resources" option on the Online Services Order page

    Configuring the Online Services Order (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/080Configuring_Fulfillment/090Discovery_Interface_Display_Logic/035ViewIt#Configuring_the_Order_of_Online_Services) includes several options, including an "Additional Preferences" section where one can choose whether or not to prioritize CZ collections, source service, ID based linking services, or prefer resources with a PO Line. However, there is no option for prioritizing OA resources. In order to allow libraries to make Open Access resources more readily available to end users, in this idea, I request that a preference be added to this list, "Prefer Open Access resources."     Hello,

    Can we please get this database added to Alma? It is called, "International Commercial Arbitration (ICMA)," from Oxford Legal Research Library.

    ICMA combines texts covering key arbitral bodies and jurisdictions with officially recognized and endorsed works detailing the rules governing specific arbitral bodies.

  15. Customize secondary search menu under Borrowing/Lending requests

    When searching under Borrowing & Lending requests, the order of the search field options defaults to alphabetical.

    It would be nice to have the ability to customize the order of the search options, so the most used search fields can be placed closer to the top of the list to avoid extra scrolling.

    For example, searching by Title is common, but the option is near the bottom of the menu. Staff need to scroll down to it every time they want to search requests by Title.

    It would be nice to at least be able to identify a favorite search…

  16. Add a ToU configuration option to block renewals only once a loan becomes overdue.

    We would like to be able to prevent users from renewing certain loans in Primo once they become overdue. This is often what we want for equipment, for example.

    This should not be a user-level block, but rather an item-level block. Any other items the user wishes to renew should be renewable in Primo, but we want users to have to return overdue items first.

  17. Adding a parameter to block the request queue for physical items at the title level

    The request queue can be confusing for library users, as such requests are often canceled due to lack of copies. With title-level requests, the library should be able to decide whether or not to allow a queue for physical item requests. It should be possible to create a parameter for this to allow blocking the queue.

  18. Webhook that runs when a user is updated, to show what information was changed for that user

    I tried setting a webhook to run when a user is updated.

    I wanted to know what information was changed for that user. To me, this is the most obvious use case for the user webhook.

    However, i get what seems like the post-changed user information only. I am unable to tell what information was changed.

    When searching for items with long titles in Alma, the clear text icon overlaps the text being entered. It would be more user-friendly if this icon were positioned to the side, next to the search icon.
