  1. Add a field for Library URL to the Library details that can be used in Letters.

    Hello,

    Most of libraries have a separate website with all relevant information for patrons. In Patron facing letters in Alma it would be useful to have a link to this library website.

    Currently, there is no dedicated field in library details configuration where such link could be stored and then passed to the letters.

    Please add a dedicated field for library website in library details configuration and feed this field to the Alma Letters.

  2. Move set of Portfolios from CZ to Local collection-URL type

    When moving a set of portfolios from a CZ collection to a locally made collection, ask and allow for the portfolio URL type to be changed and accurately reflect the change. For example, if the portfolios URL structure is set at Parser parameters in the CZ, and the local collection uses static URLs, change the portfolios to static (binary checkbox) and update the free text URL field to reflect the static URL.   3. Improving Physical Item Editor management

    I would like to suggest two ideas which can improve the whole management of working with physical item editor:

Enable all tabs and fields to be editable without clicking on 'save and edit' button – Currently after you click on 'Add item' and being navigated to the 'Physical Item Editor' form, not all the fields and tabs (General, ENUM/CHRON, Notes, and History) are enabled for editing, the barcode no. is not populated automatically, and the dropdown list of process type is disabled as well.   4. Allow a block to be created as part of the 'change to lost' overdue and lost loan profiles.

    We'd like the ability to create a block when an item is made 'lost' as part of the overdue and lost loan profile schedules.

    At the moment we can only add a block on the overdue notification types, which we do for the last overdue notification we send before it becomes considered lost.

    However, as soon as the item is changed to lost by the profile schedule it removes the block automatically created by the overdue notification profile.

  5. E-Resources: Make public note and authentication note translatable

    In the editor of e-collection / service / portfolio, it is possible to set up the public note and authentication note. These are then displayed to the patron in Primo VE in the box with full-text link in view it section.

    Currently it is a simple text box with no translation possibility. In our network we use 4 languages for the UI. Therefore, we require this field to be translatable so the note language adjusts to the patron interface in Primo VE.

  6. Include "Dismiss Selected" button on the bottom of the page

    When scrolling through the Community Zone Updates Task List, you need to scroll back up to the top of the page to click the "Dismiss Selected" button. It would be most helpful if the same function could be applied at the bottom of the page as well.

  7. reorder tags / fields in metadata editor mde using drag and drop

    Sometimes repeatable field must be sorted/reordered.
    For example, we have records with many 505 tags that are added overtime and we have to arrange their order so that they are properly displayed in Primo.
    Right now one must copy the content of the tag to move; add a tag in the proper position with indicators etc.; paste the content; delete the source tag. Quite a long and error prone procedure.
    Having the chance to simply drag and drop the fields in the mde to reorder them would be therefore a great enhancement.

  8. ORCID

    More and more government agencies require researchers/scientists to have ORCID iD when they apply for government sponsored research. But ORCID iD is for real world object. Please use $1 real world object for ORCID iD for Alma search indexes for MARC21 100, 600, 700 fields. The current Alma search indexes incorrectly support $0 for ORCID iD in MARC21 100, 600, and 700. This error needs to be corrected.

  9. Adding the borrower code stats to the patron detailstable in the fullfiment subject area

    The fullfiment subject area contains several tables related to the readers who borrowed the document including the "patron details" and "borrower details" tables. According to the documentation the data stored in the patron detail table are the characteristics of the reader at the time of the transaction. The "borrower details" table stores the characteristics of the reader at the time of the request.
    It would be useful if the patron statistical codes were stored in the "patron details" table so that they can be historized.

  11. Resource Sharing - Add Create Set Functionality from Rapido to New Resource Sharing UI

    Rapido includes a create set feature described here: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Media_Repository/Rapido_Product_Documentation/Workflows/01_Rapido_Sets#Creating_Sets. With the new Resource Sharing UI, it would be great if this functionality could be made available to Alma users who do not have Rapido.

  12. Be able to re-use Access rules

    This is specifically for Alma Digital.
    Currently, when creating an Access Rights Policy, you have to create the appropriate Access Rule. Often, we are replicating the same Access Rule across multiple policies. These should be able to be re-used instead of having to be re-created over and over again.

  13. Apply different Physical Item Sort Routines to different material types

    It would be useful to to apply a different sort routine to different item formats. So for example, we'd prefer books to sort by description ascending, but journals to sort by description descending.

  15. Add ability to save checkbox "Update Net Price according to item quantity" to PO line templates

    The February 2022 Alma release brought an improvement in correspondence between the number of items ordered and quantity for pricing (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2022/Alma_2022_Release_Notes > Enhancements to the PO Line Pricing Section).

    We are happy, that the enabled checkbox updates the quantity for pricing amount automatically and that the checkbox is enabled by default and can be disabled in the configuration menu.

    However, we would very much appreciate the ability to save the checkbox-setting in the PO line templates. This way, if the checkbox is enabled for the whole IZ, it can still be used disabled by individual libraries by saving it…

    the label used for the author index in the title search is confusing, implying that it is the creator of the Alma record, as shown in Alma Analytics, and not the author of the title.

  18. Display all subject headings in results lists

    It would be helpful to see all subject headings displayed in the search results page and to see all bibliographic headings after exporting a results list to Excel.

    Currently after a search, the results list only shows three subject headings per bibliographic record. If there are more subject headings listed in the bibliographic record, it is only indicated with the phrase “and others”.

    Exporting the results list to Excel also shows only three subject headings with the information “and others” if more subject headings are mentioned in the bibliographic record.

  19. Add task list- item request be rejected or be cancelled and become to "transit"

    found that when the request(any request) is rejected in any way (by patron or librarian) the item's next step is "Transit", but there do not have task or list to let the librarian know.

    it will cause these items stuck in "Transit" until someday we need them.

    If we can add the task list to let the librarian know which item we should handle it should be better.

  20. (Option to) make an aborted search request permanent and prevent it from loading in the background

    Sometimes you hit the search button to early by mistake, starting a request that takes quite a long time to load. If you cancel this request and make a new request, the new one will often be completed earlier, giving you the right results. Yet the original request would continue to load in the background, making the results list to switch back to the wrong results.
