  1. Possibility to duplicate a Staff User record

    We do use Role Profiles to create new Sfaff Users as easily as possible.
    However, we have about 30 sublibraries and colleagues, some of them working in several libraries or have special WO Department permissions, etc. Therefore we do not have suitable Role Profiles for all combinations.

    It would be great if we could duplicate an existing Staff User record instead of having to create a user from scratch.

  3. Add preferred pronouns field to contact people tab information in vendor

    In the 'Contact people' tab of a vendor record, there is currently no option to add the preferred pronouns of an individual. There are preferred name and gender options but no where to record the pronouns they prefer.

    vendor interface > Contact people > Add contact > Contact details.

  4. Purge User Records – Add field to prevent purge of users with active requests.

    In addition to Number of days, user record, user group, and waive threshold, an institution should have the option:

  5. Provide better bib relinking functions

    Provide better relinking functions. For example, when I need to move all the items (with multiple holdings) to another record, I need to transfer one holdings record at a time. It would be nice to be able to select the holdings records we want to move and relink them one time. Also when we are moving course reserve holdings from a short bib record to a full bib record the reading list does not update to the full bib record. I have to go into the reading list and remove the old bib and attach the new bib record to…

  6. Enable Data Flows in Oracle Data Visualization

    As someone who creates data sets and data visualizations from Analytics for other library staff, it would be useful to have Data Flow enabled in Oracle's Data Analytics. This would save me time by creating a pre-determined set of steps to create and edit data sets, and to create joins between subject areas within the Data Visualization tool.

  9. Add Expiration Date field to portfolios (for Streaming Video lease tracking)

    Libraries lease streaming films for limited periods of time. We need to track the date each film's lease expires so we can delete the portfolio from Alma or take action to lease it for another term. We are currently using the portfolio coverage field to do this, but this is a workaround, not the designed functionality of the field. An Expiration Date field would allow libraries to enter the expiration date into each streaming film portfolio and use Alma searching and Analytics to track the expiring portfolios.   10. Customize the amount of holdings displayed in the brief results

    Currently, only 5 holdings are displayed in the "Physical" tab in the brief results list in Alma. For IZs with many libraries, this is not always ideal and many clicks are necessary before getting to the complete list of holdings.
    The new sortlibraryby_relevance parameter helps but doesn't solve all issues.
    Therefore, we'd like to ask to implement a functionality similar to what can be done for the amount of records to be displayed in the results list (at the moment, one can choose between 10/20/50) so that for example staff users can choose whether they want to see…

  11. Add free/not free information about collections

    Currently through Analytics it's not possible to create a report on collections with the information: "Is free?" and "Is Free? (override)".
    It is just possible to find "Service is free" and "Service is free (override)" fields, that exclude all collections that don't have any services, such as databases.
    We propose to add fields "Is free?" and "Is Free? (override)".

  12. Overriding and/or deleting a continuous POL at the item level

    As a cataloger at a large research library, we frequently receive gap-fill purchases of periodical issues from third-party vendors or as gifts from donors—including for subscriptions that are still open.

    We know that we can associate a POL at the holding level, but this is undesirable for these situations where we need to trace the POL/method-of-acquisition to an individual item. Also, if you change a continuous POL at the item level, Alma changes the POL for every item attached to that same holding.

  13. Alma collections: Allow to add from network zone

    Our Alma consortium shares a common network zone. On the local institution level, we are building Alma collections (not digital/electronic collections). We can add titles from the institution zone, but we can't add titles from the network zone.

    This is documented:
    Alma Online Help (English) > Resource Management > Inventory > Managing Collections

    "You can only add titles from your Institution Zone to collections. NZ-managed inventory cannot be added to collections."

  14. Add Electronic Collection Information to the Bib Record Enrichment Fields in the OAI Publishing Profile

    Problem - Database type electronic collections are not getting published to Blacklight in the OAI publishing job. So bibliographic records that have database type electronic collection inventory attached, display as records without inventory in the catalog.

    Situation as described by Ex Libris - The OAI publishing profile is designed to publish the BIB record plus the enrichment fields. The Collection enrichment in the profile is for the Digital Collection, not the Electronic collection.   15. Autoholdings integration for Nature (SpringerNature)

    Create an autoholdings integration profile for Nature titles. The titles are already being sent from SpringerNature, however, they get rejected due to the fact that they are not included in the Springerlink CZ Collection for autoholdings. I assume that is due to the fact they have a different base URL (www.nature.com). The tools are already there for the integration. It would be nice to have all SpringerNature titles included in the process.

  16. Add ability to see which patron is currently viewing a digital book- A functionality for CDL

    As a reference librarian, I would like to 1) see which patron is currently viewing a digital book on the Waiting List tab within the digital representation and 2) have the ability to manage that patron’s session.

    Presently, I have the ability to see who is next in line on the patron waitlist, but I can't tell who has the book out now.

    From the patron standpoint, they might simply X out of Primo VE, thinking they have finished the book, but it is still out in their name.

  17. Alma Digital - Collection, Access rights and Representations

    Hello,

    There are a few features that are missing from Alma Digital that we would be happy if they were added:

    1.
    Add the ability to search in the "Title list" of a Digital Collection according to MMS ID, Representation ID and author.
    2.
    Add the ability to make some of the fields "Required". For example, we would like the "Access Rights" to be a required field.

    Add the ability to move a file from one representation to another (just as you can change the holdings of an item).

  18. Prioritize requests by location or fulfillment unit

    When a user submits a request at the title level in Primo VE there should be a way to prioritize certain items in a holding by location or fulfilment unit. For example, if a book has copies available in a circulating location, but there are also copies available in a non-circulating collection that is managed by a Reading Room desk, the circulating item should always get priority.

  19. Pages option for digitization requests

    Creating a partial Patron digitization request allows you to define two "from: / to:" page intervals. Sometimes, articles are spread across more intervals, but with no space for this information, that data is lost.
    We would like to see a simple text field: "Pages:" to be used in situations as this. This already exists in Lending requests and should also be available for digitization requests.

  20. Deliver Digital Documents: add notes

    We would like to add notes to the quick flow “Fulfillment > Deliver Digital Documents” (as is possible via the longer workflow of “Scan In > Manage In Process Items”). This way, we can swiftly deliver digital documents - regardless of file size - with a note to the patron. At this moment, for a note to be delivered to the end user, we need to take the more extensive route through “Manage In Process Items”.
