  1. Utilize dual due date either "End of Term" or "Fixed Time period" :which ever is less.

    Universities frequently want all materials returned at the "end of term". But they also wish to allow fixed loans (21 days for example).

    We need the Fulfillment to allow both EOT and Fix whichever is less. That way when EOT comes into play loans with automatically switch to EOT due dates.

    Solution: We need to be able to have two DueDates on a TOU and set the rule to apply the least days of the two policies. OR on the DueDate policy, add fixed data AND “End of Term”.

  2. Send an email to specific library staff member once an Invoice or Purchase Order is paid for

    I would like a function that you could alert a library staff member once an invoice or purchase order is paid for. Sometimes, library staff need to know that an order has been paid for so they can turn on access or know how much is left to spend on a fund. It would be a neat functionality that a letter can be generated from Alma directly to a library staff member once the PO has been paid.

  3. Save Facet Settings

    There are facet settings/searches we tend to run more than others. It would be really excellent and save a lot of duplicated work if it was possible to save certain facet configurations or bookmark the search so we could quickly access it again later. Would be even better if those searches could be shared among our staff, like how public sets are.

    An example would be having a saved Request/Process type facet filter so we could quickly see what items were needing to be shipped physically, but there are any number of facet searches that it would be fantastic to…

  4. MMS ID and Keyword searching of existing RS requests

    It should be possible to search existing RS requests (Borrowing and Lending) by MMS ID and Keywords using the dropdown menu.

  5. Loan due date should appear in Facets and/or Analytics

    It should be possible to the the actual Loan Due Date given to the patron, in addition to the Due Date given by the Lender in Facets.
    It should also be possible to retrieve a list of such RS requests by Loan Due Date via Analytics.

  7. Add Barcode as option for searching within the Receive New Materials list

    We are too small of an institution to use the workflow of Keep in Dept, so we receive the item once all processing is completed and the item is ready to go into the stacks. We do it this way to prevent Alma from sending availability notices until the material is truly ready for use. Having a barcode search option will make this process a lot easier and reduce errors.

  8. Prevent aggregation of fields in digital uploads

    When using the Digital Uploader tool in Alma to import records with MARC data, the uploader aggregates fields with the same MARC tags into a single resulting field once the upload is complete. For example, if a record has multiple 650 fields in an uploaded Excel field, the imported record in Alma has a single 650 field with all of the values that were (in the sheet) separated into different 650 fields.   9. Show Job category in the Manage Patron Services screen

    In our library patron accounts for Alma are imported from an external patron registration system, including Job categories. Nice. But in Alma the Job category is not shown in the Manage Patron Services screen. We would like to have it show.

  10. When running a Remove local coverage indicated, set Which coverage statement will be applied to "only global"

    When running a Change Electronic Portfolio Information job with "Remove local coverage" indicated, in addition to removing all local coverage information, also set the portfolio's "Which coverage statement will be applied?" field to "Only global."
    Leaving it as one of the local options incorrectly marks the portfolio as having local information if it is listed in the Community Zone Updates Task List.

  11. Analytics: Add Purchase Request Requester user information at the time of request

    The Purchase Request Subject Area Purchase Request Requester user information is updated every day by ETL to the current user information.
    In many cases, this is useful. But it is not useful for reporting when it is important to know the information of a user at the time of an action.

  12. Monitor Requests & Item Processes - Library Independence

    It is possible to cancel processes at libraries that you do not have any role at using the Monitor Requests & Item Processes screen. A cancel button appears next to every request.

    Patron physical item requests are correctly only visible based on your role but other processes such as work orders are visible and cancellable by all staff with access to the Monitor Requests & Item Processes page.

    Visibility is not a problem as the data isn't private, but the ability to cancel a process should be limited by the scope of the role.

  13. Stop Change Due Date from overriding hold request

    There's an issue we're having where changing the due date of a loan allows the current owner to extend their checkout time, even after a hold request has been placed. We have Alma configured so that it prevents a renewal from occuring, but change due date seems to ignore that function.

  14. Add "License Type" filter

    Under the licenses tab, you're able to view all licenses and amendments that your institution has created. There are currently two filters: "Status" and "Review Status".

    It would be helpful if there was an additional filter for "License Type" so that we can filter the list down even further to view only Licenses or Amendments. Some of our licenses come with a TON of amendments, and it's not always ideal to see licenses across multiple pages when I may need to review things regarding our Master Licenses.

  15. Search and replace

    It would be useful to have a feature like job that allows you to work on substrings, a sort of search and replace of a part of a part of a string. From what I understand, with jobs I can set or delete values ​​but I cannot work on the contents as substrings.

  16. Subtotal multiple allocated fund values on an invoice (for multiple invoice lines)

    We often use multiple allocated funds for different invoice lines on the same invoice. When I am trying to compare with our financial system, I have to manually subtotal the amounts per fund to make sure it matches the cost center values. If the subtotal of all allocated funds used on an invoice (different invoice lines) could be present on the invoice lines tab or summary tab, that would be very helpful.

  17. Allow internal users to have a phone number as default required field (not email)

    We have a mix of internal users, some community users do not have email addresses. We find that it is nearly impossible to set up Alma accounts for them when they do not have an email. We would like to have the option to set those users to have a default phone number as the required contact field and the ability to print on demand any notifications they may be.

    It has been more than 4 years in planning since July 2019. I hope this planned item will appear in the schedule of new release of ALMA in the nearest future.

  19. Sort Option for Data Start Date or Data End Date in SUSHI Area/Vendor Details

    It would be helpful to add a sort option for the 'Data Start Date and Data End Date" when analysing SUSHI reports that have been uploaded to the vendor details area/profile. When doing a custom harvest or uploading data it would make it so easy to see what date ranges have been uploaded and/or harvested. There is already sort functionality for the file name, uploaded date, SUSHI account and others, please see screen shot. I honestly think this is too important not to have been considered.

  20. Ability to make financial adjustments to previous fiscal years after rollover

    We would like to be able to make financial adjustments to prior fiscal years after rollover occurs. We want to complete rollover in a timely fashion to be able to continue business as usual, however our University's closing occurs later than we complete rollover in Alma and there are times when I need to adjust Alma to match any last minute general ledger changes.
