    We would like to perform searches based on two parameters: Title and Requester, so we can identify similar/duplicate requests by the same patron.

  2. RS Cloud App

    When changing the format of a record using the App, we would like the original Creation Date to be transferred to the History tab of the new record. Currently, the Creation Date is the date the App fixed the format.

  3. Make address fields one of the searchable fields in user searches

    Addresses on a patron record (at least the preferred address fields) need to be a searchable field in the universal search box on the dashboard.
    We often find a need to on the fly find all the patrons who might come from a particular address.

  4. Quick edit "Renew Patron" link should save changes to patron record

    In the patron Quick Edit screen when a patron is due to expire and the "Renew Patron" option appears in the right hand panel, clicking this link current just updates the expiry date for the patron and leaves the screen, but does not save any other changes you make to the patron record as you are updating them.

    This link really needs to either also save the other changes made to the patron record, or just update the expiry date and not take you away from this screen so you can still save your changes.

  5. Manage EDI Tasks - Addition of Fund Code column

    The addition of a sortable Fund Code column within Manage EDI Tasks would be incredibly useful for us. We use two strands of ordering at our institution, depending on if a title is required for research or teaching. The addition of a fund code column would allow staff to easily identify the EDI Tasks for their area.

  6. Add CDI articles to (digital) collections

    We'd like to be able to add individual articles to (digital) collections, as there are often articles which are relevant to the collection topic, but currently cannot be included, as only items with bib records in Alma can be added to collections.

  7. Ability to send an email from User Details - General information although the user is restricted from editing

    Our patrons are restricted from editing. Now with this setting librarians can't send e-mails from the General information - User Details page. It would be helpful to enable sending emails for librarians from the General information - User Details page to all patrons (users restricted from editing and also for non-restricted).

  8. Work orders: unnecessary message "cancel requests" when moving an item with work order

    When moving an item that has a work order from a location to another, the cataloguer receives a message "The item is in work order, moving the item will cancel the requests if the item is not requestable in the new location". Most of these messages are not pertinent, and we ask for the possibility to adjust it, so that it only appears when really necessary. It confuses cautious employees who are afraid of unintentionally deleting markers, or it is hardly noticed because too often wrong.

  9. Ensure that CZ & CDI Metadata is Linked Data Ready

    I was advised by the Linked Data Group to post this idea here because I submitted the following for the LOD Working Group webinar in December:

    Broader strategic and commercial alliances required to ensure that data is ready to be linked?

    To engender confidence in CZ and make it linked-data ready, why don’t the Company do business with e.g. Backstage Library Works for authority control clean-up and maintenance?

    Metadata is a global commodity so all stakeholders have responsibility for creating, sharing, enriching and maintaining it, and of course there are costs for all of these elements which we could share.

  11. AFN Loans on library loans webhooks

    We manage home delivery requests. We need to print labels and generate a file of deliveries once a day with all loans.

    Alma did not provide a list of home delivery transactions the same day, you need to wait the next day to generate a Analytics report.

    We have developed a solution that makes a list using Loans Webhooks. Now we are using AFN (Automated Fulfillment Network) in our consortium and those transactions are not published on our Webhook, because books are from other institutions even though the loan was made in our system.

  12. List of Home Delivery Request to print labels and inform courier company

    We manage a big number of home delivery requests. Alma does not allow you to create a list of loans of home delivery to print labels and send the list to the courier company.

    The only way to do it is the day after by Analytics or developing a custom solution using webhooks and users API, to have it the same day.

    It is necessary to make a list of patrons name, address, zip code, city, telephone and email address to print labels and create a csv file to be imported to the courier company software.

    We can't wait a day to print…

  13. Consider only the opening days and hours when calculating the transit time

    The Transit Time Rule for Physical Item Requests calculates the transit time in calendar days.
    As a result, days and times when the library is closed are also indicated as estimated delivery times for the requested media.
    These times are also displayed in Primo and thus give users incorrect information.
    Would it be possible to consider only the opening days and hours of the libraries when calculating the transit time?

  14. Add shortcut to viewing item history

    Many of our staff have trouble remembering how to access an item's history in Alma. It would be nice if a shortcut to that information could be added. I imagine something like an extra tab on the Scan In Items page called Item History - it allows you to enter a barcode and quickly pull up all the info in the Item Changes, Holding Changes, and Fulfillment activities tables but without having to first enter the Physical Item Editor.

  15. Add "Description" to the "Change Physical Items" job so that this field can be edited in batch across sets of item records

    We would like to be able to edit (and delete) the "Description" field across large numbers of records without having to do it manually for each one. The "Rebuild Physical item description" job does not help here, since the content of the field is not necessarily based on Enumeration and Chronology data.
    Several fields have been added since we started with Alma (e.g. Alternative Call Number, Temporary Call Number, Inventory Number, etc.). Therefore, we hope that this field will also be available for this job in the near future. Thank you in advance!

  16. Add Workflow Note to Purchase Request Screen

    At the University of Cumbria, we have configured Leganto questions, and we are using it in combination with a Citation Processing Rule to create a purchase request in Alma.

    When we view the purchase requests in Alma, we see the "Requester note" as we have configured this to display. This works well but we'd also like to see the "Workflow note" as well on the purchase request screen as it contains information about the purchase (e.g. library, number of copies, etc.).

    The idea is for Ex Libris to allow us to enable the display the "Workflow note" on the purchase…

  17. Distinguish blank cells in Usage Reports

    Hello, currently when creating an analytics report in alma for usage date harvested from SUSHI some months in their cell appear as blank. Can it be possible for these blank cells if they have 0 usages to be reported as the number 0? That way we can distinguish between what had 0 usages vs what was an error in gathering the data.

  18. Serials: Editing of Description Needed

    When opening predicted items, the Description-Field is populated by the data provided in “Next Predicted Item´s information” and displays these data in a certain punctuation-logic. Unfortunately, this logic is not equal to the description- (and punctuation-) logic used in German speaking countries (which is following ZETA-Standard) – and there is no possibility to edit this. Since there has to be a correct description (for sorting etc.), the only way is to open and edit every single item once it is created by prediction pattern.   19. Allow patron to create "Alias" that prints to Ful Hold Shelf Request Slip Letter

    When item that has a request is returned at the circulation desk, a Ful Hold Shelf Request Slip Letter is printed. There is a Patron name on the Print.
    There should be a possibility for a Patron to choose an "Alias" (Name or Number) that would be printed to the Letter.

    This could be an Address -field that patron can update in Primo. Then it would be printed to the slip letter.

  20. Deliver Digital Documents: add notes

    We would like to add notes to the quick flow “Fulfillment > Deliver Digital Documents” (as is possible via the longer workflow of “Scan In > Manage In Process Items”). This way, we can swiftly deliver digital documents - regardless of file size - with a note to the patron. At this moment, for a note to be delivered to the end user, we need to take the more extensive route through “Manage In Process Items”.
