  1. Pick from shelf include statistical category, Title in 245ab and order of column

    Currently, there are no way to include additional column to the spreadsheet export of pick from shelf. It would be very useful to add statistical category to the pick from shelf list for additional data of requestor. Options to include Title in 245ab would avoid long title to look for. Allowing custom order of column would be very useful as well.

  2. Requests Operator role in a profile

    When you set "requests operator" role in a profile, the Scope and Circulation Desk are mandatory.
    It'll be better not to record scope and circulation desk in the profile so they can be set when using the profile.
    Currently if you want to set the scope on another library than the one defined in the profile, you have to suppress the circulation desk, then change the scope, then set the circulation desk.

  3. Show Additional ID under Manage Patron Services > Request

    The Royal Danish Library has placed the pickup number in Additional ID. In order to have easy access to the number, we would like to see the number under Manage Patron Services / Requests. We would like to have an extra column (Additional ID)

  4. Show holdings across schools within a consortia easily and quickly in one place in Circulation module.

    When I am at the Circ desk and a patron needs to know if a book is available and circulating at another school within our consortia, it would be helpful if I could see holdings across schools in one place easily and quickly. This would remind me to suggest trying to get a book at another school and let me see easily if he or she can.

  5. Manage Item Returns: Send one Return Receipt Letter can be aggregated like the overdue notices.

    There should be a standard configuration that would allow libraries to set it up and set a batch time so a returned receipt would reflect all of the items returned in one day for a given borrower on one "returned" receipt.

  6. Change physical items job -- adding notes improvement

    The "Append to field" option was added in November 2023, but two additional options are still required.

    1. 'Delimiter' should be an option.
      Now, the default delimiter is ";".
      Some institutions use symbols other than ";" as delimiters.
      For example, we use "|".
      Therefore, there is a need to make the delimiter optional.

    2. Writing forward in the note
      The current specification is to write backwards.
      Some institutions operate writing new information in the front of the note.
      There are three reasons for this.
      (1)It is easier to manually add notes at the front of the note.
      (2)It is easier to see…

  7. Copyright Statuses within Digitization Fulfillment requests

    In Alma's fulfillment area, processing a library/patron digitization request often requires multiple steps to get copyright approval. Currently, the copyright clearance process is a single step - a check against the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), but if a publisher or rightsholder isn't part of CCC, the licensing process must be managed outside of Alma.

    If the digitization request is a product of a citation (ie from Leganto or Alma COurse Reserves), then it would be helpful to include relevant course data and the number of students in the course as part of the request.

  8. Analytics recover the fields in the original configuration language in ALMA

    ALMA is configured for Spanish-speaking countries in Spanish, so Analytics reports are required to generate data in the same language in which the original fields are configured.

    Request Note is copied in the Note field of the request.

    However it would be great that, after a successful 'View local resources' the request note could also be copied to a Note field in the "Ful Cancel Request Letter" automatically received by the user, thus letting the user know more specific info we usually write in the request note.   11. Pop-up message for activating / deactivating the patron’s identifier using the slider

    To activating or deactivating the patron’s identifier, it can be done by toggling the slider to “blue color” (i.e. ON) or “gray color” (i.e. OFF) under the tab ‘Identifier’ of the patron account in Alma. The attachment shows the screen capture. Once, the slider is toggled, the identifier will be activated or deactivated immediately. The “Cancel” button on top right-hand corner (“red rectangle”) has no effect to turn it back to the old value after toggling the slider.

  12. Ability to add Request Note during Scan In to Work Order Deparment

    When performing Scan In on items to a Work Order Department, we have the ability to Set Status To our congigured status options, but no ability to add a Request Note, as we have if we were creating work order requests for some other Department.
    If we want to include a Request Note (to be included on any subsequent transit letters, for example), we then have to go into each entry in Manage In Process Items, locate the request that was created by the Scan In, and input a Request Note.

  13. Enhance the comprehensiveness of Analytics of usage analysis

    For some vendors, it may have sub-databases in the subscriptions and collect usage for a particular database and the titles within seems not possible currently by Analytics. Though there’s a “Platform” field in Analytics, it did not separate the figures between different databases for a single vendor. It's strongly recommended to enhance the comprehensiveness of Analytics and enhance the functionality of usage analysis.

  14. Exporting invoice lines with multiple funds

    This is a known issue. According to an article of April 2023, "When POL is paid with 2 funds, and invoice is created, the export to Excel of the invoice lines only contains the 1st fund." It would be nice to have all funds included on the Excel file for better fund analysis and reporting.

  15. Display Number of Renewals information under ‘Other Details’ of a Physical item

    To enhance the circulation service and provide convenient access to usage information, we suggest displaying the renewal information including ‘number of renewals’ and ‘last renewal date’ under the ‘Other details’ section of a physical item in Alma. The number of renewals records how many times the due date of a loaned item was extended before the ‘maximum renewal period’. This figure is often essential to measure the usage and understand patron’s intention to continuously keep the loaned item.

  16. Lost in Transit Items Alert

    I would love it if we could get an alert sent to the task list widget for staff in charge of fulfillment when an item has been in transit too long ("too long" as defined by the institution could be set somewhere in config settings). This would then alert the staff member to check shelves, and if not found on local shelves, contact the other institution to ask them to check theirs. If the staff member alerted wanted someone else to follow up on things, they could assign it to another user.

  17. Ability to change barcodes directly from the list of items (under Receive – One time / Continuous - Manage items)

    In the list of items in the receive screen it looks as though barcodes are editable directly from the list, this is not the case, as you manually must edit each item to change the barcode. It would mean less clicks if you could edit the barcode directly from the list, it would also be less confusing since it in the current design looks as if you should be able to do this. In the current design you can edit the text in the barcode field in the list, but any changes are not saved.

  18. Ability to aggregate claims to one vendor should be made available for Legal deposit

    For the acquisition method “Purchase” the letter “PO line claim letter” is used, for the acquisition method “Legal deposit” and “Legal deposit - without letter” the “Legal deposit claim letter” is used. For the “Purchase” acquisition method an additional claim letter is available “PO Line Aggregated Claim Letter”, which in the event of there being more than one claim to the same vendor aggregates these into one letter.   19. Disable Electronic Activation Tasklist

    It would be helpful to have the option to disable/enable the electronic activation tasklist. Whether or not the tasklist is incorporated into local workflows, the tasklist continues to grow with resources as they are ordered from the community zone. This leads to a very bloated tasklist with no clean way to clear items from the tasklist (i.e. resources that have already been ordered and received/activated remain on this list).

    In a case with ExL (06794492) it was confirmed that items from the tasklist cannot be cleared in batch and each resource needs to be manually deleted.

  20. Library level patron limits configuration

    It should be possible to configure the Patron Limits table at the library level. Only Max Cash, Max Overdue and Max overdue recalls should be configurable, so that each library will be able to control when it starts blocking patrons independently of one another.
