Include MARC leader in General Electronic Services Bib Fields Enrichment
The addition of bib fields enrichment for general electronic services has been helpful in creating service availability rules for GESes, but there is no way to configure enrichment based upon content in the MARC record leader. This is where primary resource aspects are noted, such as record type, bibliographic level, and whether a resource is under archival control. Being able to use this criteria when displaying or hiding a service would be much easier than the convoluted and imperfect workarounds we've resorted to.

Expand webhook monitoring to all record types in Alma
Libraries utilize the webhook tool in Alma to be notified when some events occur, and includes information on the results or status of that event. Unfortunately, the tool does not include all record types in Alma. For example, portfolio and representation records, though mentioned in Ex Libris webhook documentation ( https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/alma/xsd/webhook.xsd ), are not actually monitored by the tool. In August 2024, this was communicated to Ex Libris for these two specific record types, and a “planned for future release” clause was added to their page, but with no timeline. Expand API access to all record fields across all record types
Libraries frequently use API access to Alma records to complete a variety of tasks, provide services, and support special projects. Currently, the types of records and fields that are accessible via APIs are limited. For example, in bibliographic records, the 024 (UPC) field data is inaccessible via the API. Please Expand API access to all record fields across all record types.

Allowing the relink of a holding from a bib record to another maintaining the call number even if the location is the same.
Now in Alma if you try to relink a holding with the same location (ex.: ABC) and call number 123 (1) from a record to another that have already a holding with the same location (ABC) and call number 123 (2), the holding with location ABC and call number 123 (1) disappear and everything is under the location ABC and call number 123 (2),.
This happens with a relink of a POL or an item.
We want to maintain the call number 123 (1).

Allowing the Bulk Scan In App to Export List of Items Scanned
When using the bulk scan in app, you get a list of items that have been scanned in and those that have errors. Currently there is no way to export this list into excel to be able to keep track of the errors. If you click off the app to check a barcode with an error, the information disappears and you have to rerun the bulk scan in again. It would be great if you could export the whole list at once to excel to have a good record of the those that were successful and those that had errors.

Vendor Communication will not send without PO Line Attached
As an Alma Administrator at Kettering University, we would like the ability for the 'Acquistions>Vendors>Communications tab' area to send emails to vendors without a PO line attached. Currently, correspondence will not be sent if you try to email a vendor without an associated PO Line. This will help us keep vendor correspondences more streamlined and structured, eliminating the need to download personal emails to PDF format and upload them.
Not all communications we have with a vendor will be order-based. Does anyone know of any fixes or backend settings allowing those to be sent? We were informed at the Support…

Improvements for the MDEs left pane
The left pane in the MDE is a very helpful tool for navigation in daily business. With the following improvements it could be even more helpful:
- Customization of the display of the different databases in all the tabs (records/templates/rules): it would be very helpful if one could select only the databases that are necessary for the daily work for display (example: I have in the record tab 14 different databases of which I only need 4, and one that I need is only accessible through the drop down menu); if a selection is not possible it would be helpful…85 votes -
Default format when creating a borrowing request manually
When creating a Borrowing request manually within ALMA, even for articles, the default option for Requested Format is Physical. It would make more sense for the default option to be Digital.

Add API support for read/update/add/delete contact e-mails in Organization units: library, Institution Zone
Use case: Library / IZ contact e-mails are used in many workflows as the e-mail sender for letters generated in Alma. In our network (31 IZs), we are running a consortia mail server. As part of the configuration, we moved the library and IZ contact e-mails to our consortia domain. For example, library@abc.ch is now library-abc@swisscovery.net. This means changing the configuration of each library contact e-mail in the IZ to a different e-mail address and adding a description.

Manually associated PO Lines appearing in the Associated PO Lines tab
Allow manually associated PO Lines under the Additional section of a POL, this association should also populate an entry on the Associated PO Lines tab. This will allow for a one-to-many relationship to be established to help in the administration of material that comes with subscriptions and print and online subscription management.

barcode added to "pick from shelf" list
more of a question.
Can the barcode be added to the 'pick from shelf' list'? It would be helpful when printing the item page from the list and it would also be beneficial if the item barcode was visible instead of have to hit the requests number for the barcode.

Remove library and locations from Analytics created in test period
During migration to Alma we found that there were some incorrect data in holdings records for libraries and locations. This was useful because those data were not exposed to metadata managers in our previous system. Prior to migration, these incorrect libraries and locations were removed from our data in the previous system.
Now I find that those incorrect libraries and locations remain in Analytics. In order to filter these incorrect data out, one needs to remember to filter them out. This is not a long-term tenable solution as fewer and fewer staff members recall the specifics of the data cleanup…

Ability to surface details of recipients/subscribers to Scheduled Analytics Reports
Allow for export/inclusion of subscriber details when exporting list of scheduled reports or creating Analytics reports from Analytics Usage Tracking subject area or Analytics Objects subject area.
I am trying to do an audit on recipients/subscribers of our Scheduled Reports in Alma. The aim is to streamline who receives which reports/ remove staff who have moved roles and/or staff who have left the institution.
Currently neither the extract of Analytics Objects from Alma or any of the Analytics Subject Areas include details about the recipients/subscribers and I feel this would be very useful for auditing/access control.

Vendor type - APC
We currently have 4 Vendor types in Alma (Material supplier, access provider, Licensor and Governmental) it would be useful to have a new type of APC vendor - we often pay different companies, who we don't use for other purchases, and the existing types don't match. It would also be useful where we have transformative deals so we can highlight that the vendor is also identified as an APC provider (whether we pay or not for them)

Provide a way to duplicate a terms of use
This is especially a pain point when you are starting in Alma. When libraries are tweaking circulation rules, often you need to create a new terms of use as part of that, but what you really are doing is taking an existing terms of use and setting a new one up in the same except for one or two policies that are different. Add "Prefer Open Access resources" option on the Online Services Order page
Configuring the Online Services Order (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/080Configuring_Fulfillment/090Discovery_Interface_Display_Logic/035ViewIt#Configuring_the_Order_of_Online_Services) includes several options, including an "Additional Preferences" section where one can choose whether or not to prioritize CZ collections, source service, ID based linking services, or prefer resources with a PO Line. However, there is no option for prioritizing OA resources.
