  1. Allow automatic barcode generation in quick cataloguing form from Manage Patron Services

    The quick cataloguing form has a variant depending on whether you access it through Fulfillment > Manage Patron services > loan tab > create item or through Resources > add a physical item.

    In the first case (Fulfillment > Manage Patron services etc.), quick cataloguing is used in the case where a document is presented for loan but does not exist in the database. The barcode is then obligatory for loan, otherwise loan is not possible. The barcode cannot be automatically created.

  2. Allow patron to create "Alias" that prints to Ful Hold Shelf Request Slip Letter

    When item that has a request is returned at the circulation desk, a Ful Hold Shelf Request Slip Letter is printed. There is a Patron name on the Print.
    There should be a possibility for a Patron to choose an "Alias" (Name or Number) that would be printed to the Letter.

    This could be an Address -field that patron can update in Primo. Then it would be printed to the slip letter.

  3. List of Home Delivery Request to print labels and inform courier company

    We manage a big number of home delivery requests. Alma does not allow you to create a list of loans of home delivery to print labels and send the list to the courier company.

    The only way to do it is the day after by Analytics or developing a custom solution using webhooks and users API, to have it the same day.

    It is necessary to make a list of patrons name, address, zip code, city, telephone and email address to print labels and create a csv file to be imported to the courier company software.

    We can't wait a day to print…

  4. Make address fields one of the searchable fields in user searches

    Addresses on a patron record (at least the preferred address fields) need to be a searchable field in the universal search box on the dashboard.
    We often find a need to on the fly find all the patrons who might come from a particular address.

  5. Create option to keep CZUTL deleted portfolios active in Institution Zone

    When portfolios are deleted from a non-auto-active electionic collection and notifications for this appear in the Community Zone Updates Task List, the portfolios stay unlinked in your institution zone but are deactivated. Often these are portfolios that represent access that still exists for the institution and we merely reactivate the local portfolio. We would like to be able to select an option to keep these portfolios active in our institution zone. If they are really no longer necessary, we can delete them when we review the CZUTL, but it would save us time if the portfolios were not deactivated automatically.

  6. Openurl resolver to search CDI when no full text services found in Alma

    Sometimes the Alma openurl resolver can't locate an item, but you can find it in the CDI, so could the openurl resolver search the CDI by title + authors for possible matches? Perhaps present any results as suggestions, a bit like bX recommendations, so as not to raise expectations that the correct document has been found.

    Here's an example. JSTOR has a record for a paper that was published in print in SAE Transactions, ISSN 0096-736X, 2001, Vol.110, p.86-92

  7. Remove "Valid Until" in calendar entries

    The current behavior in Alma is that any calendar entries have an effective date and a valid until date, that is automatically 3 years beyond the date the event was last edited.

    The effective date does not in my mind serve any purpose and creates puzzling and frustrating situations for fulfillment services staff if the current date approaches any of these valid until dates, because patron loans will start being shortened, seemingly for no reason.

    For exceptions, date ranges are called explicitly. For standard hours there either should be no valid until date, or this should be specified explictly, to…

  8. AFN Loans on library loans webhooks

    We manage home delivery requests. We need to print labels and generate a file of deliveries once a day with all loans.

    Alma did not provide a list of home delivery transactions the same day, you need to wait the next day to generate a Analytics report.

    We have developed a solution that makes a list using Loans Webhooks. Now we are using AFN (Automated Fulfillment Network) in our consortium and those transactions are not published on our Webhook, because books are from other institutions even though the loan was made in our system.

  9. Ability to queue borrowing requests for a temporarily inactive partner

    Hi,
    For resource sharing, we use Alma partners with the ISO profile type that are part of the Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD) network.

    When partner libraries suspend themselves from LADD services, their Status updates in Alma to Inactive.

    However, sometimes a Library is the only possible lender of material. In these cases, we would prefer to wait until the Library becomes Active again, instead of trying to source a partner overseas (for us in Australia, time-consuming and much more expensive, plus challenges with postal delays).   11. Make the current publication location discoverable in Analytics

    When a record contains both a 260 and 264 field, Analytics will only display the publication location from the 260 field, which often isn't the current publisher's location if a publisher change has occurred. This is also inconsistent with how the publisher field works. The publisher field returns all publishers, separated by a semicolon, but publication place only returns the original publisher's location. Not returning all publication locations makes it difficult to do maintenance on the 260, 264, or 008 country code fields. It also doesn't allow you to accurately record collection development statistics by current country of publication.

  13. Set default payment type for circulation desk

    We would like the ability to set default payment options for our circulation desks. We currently use the cash option for our student campus payment system since we do not have the ability to add custom payment types and we do not actually accept cash anymore so we use that but cash is showing as the "default" option from the payment area and most of our payments are credit card so we would like to set credit card as the default payment option.

  15. Allow API update action of License in POLine record

    Currently, License field in POLine record cannot be updated via Acquisition API. There are no effective way to link up POLine record and License record without manual update one by one. The field were mentioned in the restpoline.xsd as

    "The license code. Relevant for electronic orders only, and is not supported for PUT. "

  16. Current loaned item borrower user group as parameter in terms of use

    Sometimes we need to restrict requests based on the group of the user that has the item currently borrowed, not only the group of the user that is trying to request.

    This is particularly useful when you have items loaned to a user for an specific loan period (sometimes even for months or years) and you want to avoid users to request that item loaned to that specific user group but allow them to request items currently loaned to other user groups.

  17. Internal data and all non-fulfillment data deleted from external account when accounts are loaded from external system through API

    Updating users from an external source (such as Banner) using the API means that any non-fulfillment information will be deleted such as Roles (the only role left is the Patron role), barcodes, alternate addresses, emails, phone numbers, fines/fees, blocks, attachments, proxy information.

    Would it be possible to make sure that an account's update from Banner through the API only affects the fields supported by Banner without wiping off any other fields?

  18. Extend or allow one to be able to extend the time it takes to time-out when on the Manage Patron Services screen.

    Please extend or allow one to customise their own time-out settings for the Manage Patron Services screen.

    Gets on my nerves when I'm in the middle of composing an email to a Patron about their loans and I have to keep bringing up their account because it goes back to the search screen.

    I need more time if I'm dealing with: fines, loan history, and making notes on an account, whilst trying to communicate what I'm doing.

  19. Ajouter le bouton "Informations de liaison" pour la sélection du portfolio lors de la création du lien vers la communauté

    Lorsque l'on souhaite lier un portfolio local à la communauté, on sélectionne notre portfolio puis on clique sur "Lien vers la communauté". Une sélection des portfolios de la CZ apparaît, mais parfois les portfolios sont très similaires et sans les "informations de liaison", il est impossible de les distinguer. Il est alors nécessaire d'annuler l'opération, de refaire une recherche du portfolio dans la CZ, de repérer lequel est le bon via les "informations de liaison" qui nous permettent de vérifier l'URL, et de noter son MMS. Puis de refaire l'opération de lien à la communauté.

    Hello,

    Currently our Pick from Shelf has 4 options to sort the titles:

    Location Name- Asc
    Location Name - Desc
    Call Number - Asc
    Call Number - Desc

    I would like to see the titles sorted into alphabetical order.
