  1. Improve General Electronic Service

    In each General Electronic Service, the Service Details page has a section marked "Disable Service," with radio button options for
    Never, When resource is owned by the campus, When resource is owned by the campus and available, When resource is owned by the institution, and When resource is owned by the institution and available. These controls do not work. I have been told that making them work would be an enhancement. I suggest that they be hidden or removed in order to avoid wasting the time of library staff in trying to make them work.

  2. Option to reset reloan limit at a specified time each day

    We manage laptops as inventory in Alma, and as such they are governed by Terms of Use and Advanced Policies. Our policy is that a user can checkout one laptop at a time, renew it once, but then can't checkout any more in that same calendar day.

    Currently the reloan limit allows blocking by "Other - you may define the time span (in the Unit of Measurement) in which the same item may not be reloaned - minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months. Note that this option includes the Parallel option and blocks both parallel loans and same item loans…

  4. Configurable hard coded date for request expiry

    We've struggled with users not understanding the purpose of the 'Not needed after' date field in the various request forms linked to Primo VE. This often means we received requests with supplied 'Not needed after' dates of a few days later meaning they're cancelled before even being in transit or picked, particularly on unstaffed weekends. Relabelling the field hasn't helped matters due to users not paying attention to it and thinking it's a 'needed/collect on' mandatory date.

    If possible we would like the ability to set a hard coded expiry range for non-processed requests. For example, if a recall request…

  5. Add flags to tabs in vendor interface record area

    We noticed the little corner/flag is not changing on the vendor interface details tabs when we add administrative information/access information/statistics information. We thought it would show like the notes tab with a dark corner when we enter information so we know that we have stuff in these tabs. We thought it was a glitch, so we reported to Ex Libris. They said it is by design:

  6. Alam API retrieve bibs from collection => sort by created date

    Currently the order of records from this API function is unknown.
    We should be able to sort the records by creation date/new records facet so we can retrieve only the n newest ones.

  7. Preview PO line attachments in Alma

    It currently is not possible to preview a PO line attachment in Alma; you have to download it to see what the document contains. This can result in downloading multiple documents before you find the one that you need. We would like to be able to preview those attachments in Alma to avoid that extra step of downloading each attachment just to view it.

  8. Integrate Primo VE with Generative AI techology

    The searching capabilities of Primo VE (SearchPlus) can be enhanced by using natural language processing, semantic analysis, etc. Use natural language processing to understand user queries and provide relevant search results.
    Recommend books, articles and other library resources based on input keywords, patron’s previous search history, etc. This can improve the discoverability of library resources and make it easier for patrons to find what they are looking for.

  10. Different color en left menu for shared dimensions

    It would be nice to find shared dimensions in left menu in a different color, not the same blue.
    This way, it would be eassier to recognized and use them.

  12. New PO Lines: Allow editing of PO Line description independent of MARC record

    In the old PO Line interface, you could update the description from the MARC record but then you could edit it. For example, sometimes I want to have a title from the MARC record but then add ONE-TIME ONLY or something like that to the PO Line description. I can't do that anymore.

  15. Flag individual articles in Alma as being unavailable.

    ExLibris cannot verify accuracy between supplied metadata and a referenced database. As a result, there are times when an article is listed in Primo as available online; However, when the patron tries to retrieve the article, the database returns a not found error. This has been frustrating for our patrons.
    Currently there is no way to flag an individual article as being unavailable. As a result, this becomes a recurring error for our patrons; with no option to correct.
    Suggest providing a way to:
    1. flag individual articles as available / not available by database
    2. date and notes on…

  17. Add Locked Process status to completed jobs

    Currently EDI jobs complete and then tables lock for updating to complete through out Alma. This leaves other similar jobs stuck in the queue as Pending for several minutes.
    Under this change instead of a completed job that locks tables being moved directly to history it would get an additional status in the Running jobs area. This status would let users know that the job had completed, but that Pending jobs would not be starting.

  18. Include "On Hold Expiration Date" to "Physical Items"

    Please include the "On Hold Expiration Date" from the Alma Physical Items Search to the Analytics field "Physical Items"

    To elaborate upon why this is needed:

    A title was ordered on February 8th. The "Hold Shelf expiration date" is set for February 23rd. According to the terms of use, 10 working days are correctly taken into account. However, the "Days on Hold Shelf" value displays 14 days, as weekends and holidays are included in this calculation.   19. Adding newly registered patrons to the 'Recent patrons'-list

    Being able to see patrons entered in a session is very useful, but it would be great if the recent list also included new patrons registered during the session.

    Often times, patrons for instance request registration before they find the books they want to borrow. If we could easily access their patron services page when they return with them, it would streamline the process.

  20. Add Fulfillment Jobs Configuration : a daily aggregation letter of returned items

    The existing "Return Receipt Letter" is sent in two situation:
    1. when librarian clicked the done button at 'Manage Patron Services' screen,
    2. After scan each item at "retrun item"
    this letter is set in Circulation Desk configuration, user recieve letters after return items each time.

    we suggest Alma create a new Fulfillment Jobs Configuration* to sent "return receipts", like the existing configuration "Loans - Overdue and Lost Loan Job".
