Resource Sharing - Add Create Set Functionality from Rapido to New Resource Sharing UI
Rapido includes a create set feature described here: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Media_Repository/Rapido_Product_Documentation/Workflows/01_Rapido_Sets#Creating_Sets. With the new Resource Sharing UI, it would be great if this functionality could be made available to Alma users who do not have Rapido.

Purge User Records – Add field to prevent purge of users with active requests.
In addition to Number of days, user record, user group, and waive threshold, an institution should have the option:

Provide a configuration to limit by material type to a specific pick-up location
For institutions with multiple libraries where only one library may have A/V viewers or microform readers it would be helpful for that institution to limit the pick-up location by material type to the library that has the necessary equipment for onsite use.
This would eliminate confusion and time delay when a user makes a request to pick up a material type at a location where they cannot use it onsite.5 votes -
Restrict circulation of reading list items to students in a course
Hello,
In Alma, our library would like to add students to a course, and then have circulation of the reading list for that course restricted to the students in that course. In other words, students who are not linked to a course would be unable to checkout items from the reading list for that course.
Ideally, this would be an option when creating or editing a course.
Thank you.

Standing orders - Quantitly for pricing should be "1" by default and the "Update Net Price according to item quantity" should be unchecked
This idea was opened by Ex Libris to see how the community supports it.
For standing orders - Quantitly for pricing should be "1" by default and the "Update Net Price according to item quantity" should not be selected by default (unchecked))
"The 'Update Net Price according to item quantity' is really useful in a lot of cases, but when creating a Standing Order (which doesn't create inventory), the Quantity for Pricing = 0 and this box needs to be unchecked in order to be able to add a List Price and Fund. the idea is for this box to…

The option for Fulfillment AND Internal notes to pop up during Check in/out
When scanning an item into the Scan In Items screen, both Fulfillment and Internal Notes pop up. However, when scanning items into the Circulation screens (Manage Patron Services & Return Items), only Fulfillment notes pop up.
We would like the option for Fulfillment AND Internal Notes to pop up for staff while using the Circulation screens at the desk. There tends to be important information in both fields that they should be aware of while checking items in and out.

From my assigned purchase requests, allow selection of multiple requests to be assigned to someone. Doing it line by line is cumbersome.

Alma Analytics: Usage Data Subject Area
In Alma Design Analytics, add "Fund Ledger" to the folders in the "Usage Data" Subject Area. Collections staff want to be able to look up titles they have ordered out of their "Fund Ledger Codes" and see how much they have been used, especially TotalItemRequests. The decimal-point breakdowns of usage in the "Cost Usage" folder in the "E-Inventory" Subject Area are too confusing/convoluted, and only use UniqueTitle/ItemRequests.

Allow Request Notes to be edited even with complex Fulfilment Rules
We introduced Fulfillment Rules to check if there are any "Process Types" assigned to an item and make them unrequestable. For example if an item is MISSING, REQUESTED, LOST, LOANED, etc.
This allows an item without a process type to be requested fine. Unfortunately, the moment you try to edit the Request Note and update the request, it ends up rechecking the Fulfillment rules and oddly cancels the request.
We were hoping we can use the edit Request Note process to mark items when our library officers have done 1st/2nd/3rd shelf searching of items before they become officially marked as…

Show when a MMS record is Suppressed on the Electronic Collection search results
When using the Electronic Collection search, the results list does not show whether the MMS record is suppressed. This Idea is to suggest that the suppressed icon is displayed on the Electronic Collection search results when the MMS record is suppressed from discovery.
This is important if the Electronic Collection has CDI results - if the MMS record is suppressed from discovery, so too are all of the CDI results. So, when trouble-shooting why CDI records are not displaying as expected, it would be helpful to see the suppressed icon on the Electronic Collection search results page rather than having…

Visibility of display logic rules at the Alma collection level
It would be very helpful to flag activated Alma collections when they are concerned by display logic rules.
At the moment, there is no indication and activation changes may have some impact on the discovery and fulfillment level. It would be very useful for electronic operators to be directly alerted (for example with an icon) and it could prevent collection deletions or other mistakes made due to lack of knowledge.

Ability to add historical purchases and/or backdate orders
Would like the ability to add our historical orders into Alma for record-keeping and the ability to pull in that info into analytics. We have instances of perpetual access titles/collections that we purchased prior to onboarding to Alma, but no way to include that info on the vendor's page in Alma b/c we can't add that historical info, but that restricts our ability to use those vendors in comparison to others or perform cost analysis on them either.

Resource Sharing Partner: Contact Information and Parameters tab (multiple e-mail addresses)
In the Alma documentation it is noted that the Contact tab of a Resource Sharing Partner is currently not functional:
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/050Resource_Sharing/005Managing_Resource_Sharing_Partners/010Resource_Sharing_Partners
"In the Contact Information tab, add address, phone number, and email information for the resource sharing partner (for informational purposes only; information for sending the resource sharing request is entered in the Parameters tab – see the following step). For instructions, see Adding User Contact Information."The options (Email types) on the tab correspond to those of an Acquisition supplier (on the Vendor level and the Account level), but have not yet been implemented functional for Resource Sharing Partners.…

allow a simple method for transferring loans from one patron account to another
Currently in Alma there is no simple way to transfer loans from one user account to another, and yet this may be a regular requirements if customer transfer from one course to another, Undergraduate to Postgraduate etc. It would be very helpful to staff if a single function existed to allow the transfer of loans from one account to another which could be selected.

Add webhook event for Resource Sharing lending request
Actually we can intercept a RS borrowing request via webhooks in two ways, via a new request event or via a new item event (using a RS location filter), but there seems to be no events for lending request until the resource is located and the temporary RS location is applied. We need a specific webhook event that occur when a RS lending request is created.

Increase report limits on Delete bibliographic records job
The Delete Bibliographic Records job does not include a report on the records deleted and any errors if the set is larger than 10,000 records. This number is not sufficiently large enough for operations in a network zone, and the main workaround is to create smaller sets of records and running multiple delete jobs.
Please increase the reporting limits on the delete bibliographic records job.

Allow deletion of a loan transaction after the item has been returned
Sometimes as library staff we loan an item to a user by accident. The staff member returns the item accidently loaned in Alma and then realises that it's not possible to delete the loan transaction.
Please can this functionality be added as follows:
1) Be available by permission to certain Alma roles
2) Require a note to be added explaining why the loan transaction has been deleted for audit purposes.
3) Ability to report in Alma Analytics on deleted loan transactions with the deletion note field also available for reporting in Analytics.

A new Community Zone Updates Task List report for when a portfolio changes vendors
CZ updates task list does not show titles switching from one vendor to another - that is a big issue for us. Eg. Philosophy of science changed from University of Chicago Press to Cambridge University. The portfolio URL is still Chicago Press, but one is redirected to Cambridge University.
Finding info in CZ updates is extraordinarily difficult. Mostly because there are thousands of titles we don't have any reason to look at.
It would be very helpful to be able to search the list by ISSN and OCLC number as well.
It would be helpful to have a report indicating…43 votesHi Liz,
We would like to better understand the situation of "portfolio changes vendors":
- Does this mean that the interface of the portfolio was changed?
- Is it enough to report this on collection/service level, and not in portfolio level?
- What actions would you take upon such report?
Thanks,
Tamar Fuches

Enhance Shelf Report
Shelf report is a great tool but only searches for items based on permanent location and not their current/temporary location. As a result, items that are on display will display exactly as if they are missing and scanning a display shelf shows that the items were scanned but do not belong in that location, the same status as if an item from the traditional shelving was placed on the display shelf.
Additionally, it was previously posted (June 28, 2022) that it would be useful to be able to select multiple locations when performing a shelf report. It was commented that…
