  1. Prevent items to be loaned immediately when they are returned at a SIP2 Self check machine and have a Rapido personal delivery request

    When a loaned item is returned at a SIP2 Self check machine and has a Rapido personal delivery request, the item is automatically loaned to the patron (and sorted to a request bin). Requested items then are scanned in at a circulation desk for further processing. In case of a personal delivery request, the item is immediately returned and marked for reshelving. Librarians do not see that there was a request (and a short loan).

  2. Analytics for Global Authorities

    We require reporting capabilities not only for local authorities—such as identifying preferred headings and their linkage to bibliographic records—but also for global authorities. These reports are valuable for various purposes, including data cleanup and deduplication efforts.

    To support this need, we propose the addition of a "Global Authorities" subject area to Analytics, mirroring the functionality of the existing "Local Authorities" subject area. This enhancement should enable filtering options based on attributes such as Source Type and Preferred Heading status (Yes/No), consistent with the filters currently available for local authorities.

  3. reuse sets with uploaded Excel Files

    Currently, we can create itemized sets of physical books by uploading an Excel sheet of barcodes. But, we are not able to reuse the set in the same manner.

    We would like to be able to create one set (for withdrawing books, etc.). Then, when the job is completed, we would like to reuse that set, upload a new Excel sheet and run another job. This will cut down on the number of new sets we need to create for a single task.

  4. Add Information about Authority records linked to other vocabularies than LOCAL

    We need to manage the information about authority records linked from other vocabularies than LOCAL, ie. LCNAMES. In Analytics only exists the area for local Authority records. It is useful to work with linked open data in collections that use diferents vocabularies as sources for authorities records.

    Fine receipt letters are being sent automatically. Either manually or automatically, it needs to be optional. Sometimes we might not want to send a receipt.

  6. Add Fiscal Period Month, Full Month and Month Key to E-inventory Cost Usage

    The ability to drill down to usage by month is absent in the E-inventory subject area.

    Can this be added, please?

  7. Power BI access to Alma & Primo Analytics

    Many libraries are using Power BI to analyse the suite of library services they offer. Data is derived from the library management system (LSM/ILS) but also chat services, reading list software, library guides and more.

    Though Ex Libris has developed analytics in Alma, libraries need to analyse their data in the tools of choice.

  8. Allow libraries to pick which resource sharing requests statuses appear in the Tasks widget

    Not all resource sharing requests that require manual processing (ex. requests in the Mediated Patron Renewal status) appear in the Tasks widget. This can results in requests to not be processed in a timely manner, and it also limits the usefulness of the Tasks widget. We would like the option to configure which resource sharing statuses are shows in the Tasks widget.

  9. Allow the use of both Fixed and Non-fixed values when setting due date policy

    Faculty at our institution are allowed to check out materials until the end of summer. They are also used to renewing their materials before the end of summer so they are extended to the end of next summer. Currently the recurrence of End of Summer will change the End of Summer date to the same date next year is the same time that faculty materials are due. They cannot renew them before the current End of Summer.

    I propose the ability in Advanced Policies to set due dates based on how many days before or after a certain event.

  10. Option to expand "sliding panel" when making an order or viewing order information.

    In the interface that is slated to become standard on August 10, 2025, order information for a title is displayed on a sliding panel that has no option to expand to the entire screen. In this format, the order information that you are seeking takes up a smaller amount of the screen, visually unbalancing the screen and changing focus to one side, while leaving a darkened portion of the search screen visual that adds no helpful information.   11. User note: prevent overwritten via API when the check box is set option

    We would like to add a functionality (check box) in the admin Alma user record UI that allows preventing a manually added USER NOTES field from being overwritten by the API when the check box is set.

    This functionality will allow Alma admins to store some manual information in a USER NOTES without being overwritten via API when a record is being updated automatically

  12. Add block information box on patron’s account landing page

    Currently, when accessing a patron’s account through the “Manage Patron Services” tab, the patron’s account landing page does not show the block information (a pop-up does show up but with incomplete information, as recorded in a SF case). In order to access block information, one has to click on the patron’s name, and then navigate to the block tab.
    The suggested idea would be that a box containing block information be added in the left-hand column of the patron’s account information, under the box containing loans, returns, requests and fines and fees information. Block types could be described with the…

  13. Reloading several records from the union catalog at once

    I would like to update several records from the union catalog at once, for example all the records within an itemized set. So far, this is only possible for individual records in the MDE ("Reload record from central catalog"), which is rather exhausting. It would be much easier if there was a button saying "reload records" by which you can push all checked items to the MDE and simultaneously reload the records from central catalog.

    In this way, we could easily and quickly update bibliographic records from the "Failed to update delete" event in Analytics. Another use case would be…

    We need to update some or all of our location fulfillment Unit of all of our library.
    Unfortunately, the Update Location API does not support bulk updates for multiple locations in a single request. Each API call is limited to a single location code.

  16. Import Profiles - support mapping to E-Collection

    We need the ability to map to Electronic Collection. Because you cannot map to E-Collection, you have to have a separate profile for each collection for which you want to load portfolios. This dramatically increases the number of profiles we need to maintain. In addition, this requires more staff to have the ability to modify import profiles, even though the only thing changing each time is the collection name.

    Mapping either the collection name (exact match) or the collection ID would be sufficient. This will enable more uniform loading of records.

  17. Add Option to Handle Multi-Matches Automatically Based on Brief Level

    Alma’s import profile functionality currently includes the option "Do not override/merge a record with lower brief version", which ensures that an incoming record is not loaded if its brief level is lower than that of the matched record in Alma.

    We would like to see this functionality extended to enable handling multi-matches automatically. Currently, when an incoming record matches multiple existing records in Alma, the import process still flags this as an multi-match issue, even if all matched records in Alma have a higher brief level than the incoming record.   18. Ability to remark letter example

    In letter administration, currently when you switch to use a different letter example, the information you've got is the same letter name and the only difference is the date it is saved. for example FulUserBorrowingActivityLetter - 02/12/2024 04:08:56 GMT. It does not mean a lot when you are trying to switch to a difference example, one would rather it be remark as something more useful or special about that example, such as specific - usergroup, loan type, from library, etc.

  19. Remove 'Level URL' from CZ collections

    We'd like to move more Electronic Collections onto fewer bib records to help with organisation of our e-resources within Alma. If there are multiple IZ collections linked to an unsuppressed bib record, you can control how many URLs display in the Primo record by controlling which Electronic Collections have Level URLs. However, this is not possible when using CZ collections as there is already a Level URL hardcoded into the collection. I don't think it's possible to override the Level URL with 'nothing' to hide that collection's link from Primo. We'd like the ability to be able to hide that…

  20. upload a new work from Alma to Primo

    When we approve and upload a new work from Alma to the system, it takes approximately 15 minutes for it to appear in Primo.
    This delay poses a significant challenge for us, as we are unable to immediately verify that the work was successfully uploaded and displayed as expected.

    We would appreciate it if you could look into this issue and let us know whether there is a way to streamline the synchronization process so that the display in Primo is more immediate or at least significantly faster.
