  1. Allow automatic barcode generation in quick cataloguing form from Manage Patron Services

    The quick cataloguing form has a variant depending on whether you access it through Fulfillment > Manage Patron services > loan tab > create item or through Resources > add a physical item.

    In the first case (Fulfillment > Manage Patron services etc.), quick cataloguing is used in the case where a document is presented for loan but does not exist in the database. The barcode is then obligatory for loan, otherwise loan is not possible. The barcode cannot be automatically created.

  2. Analytics: Transit end time NOT registered

    Hello,
    Please see our public ticket 00903860.
    If you make a query containing the field "Physical item historical events->Event end date->event end date and time" with the conditional "event type description=physical item went into transit" on this field is NOT registered the end of transit process, but the start of the following process (if any). Please correct this behaviour.

  3. Correct article level target links for records without assigned volume or issue numbers

    For example, we see erroneous records (without working linking/availability) that are published ahead of print and which do not have specific volume/issue numbers. Until the publisher updates this information Primo links are directed to an error page.

  4. Make the Send Message emails more customisable

    Today it is possible to send messages to individual users from the General Information tab on the User Details screen, but the functionality is very basic. To be truly useful it should be possible to create your own templates and to customise them the same way we can customise Alma Letters. Without the usual letter components, such as a header with the institution logo, which are present in other Alma letters, the messages look unprofessional and can easily be mistaken as spam.   5. 'Undo Last Action' option for Resource Sharing requests

    Many times, our library staff accidentally choose an unintended Resource Sharing status or scan the wrong barcode when shipping material. They either realize the error too late, or they instantly regret the results of the status change.

    Currently, there is no good way to undo this type of unintended error for both partners. Manually changing the status only changes it on your end, not the partner's end, which throws off the entire workflow.   6. Library opening hours - prolong the "valid to" field in bulk

    It would be very helpful to have a possibility to prolong library opening hours in bulk. We have more than 40 libraries and now the only possibility to prolong library opening hours is to open each line with opening hours, save it and run the "Apply changes" job. With so many libraries with many lines for opening hours in the library calendar will be this change for many hours of clicking.

  7. Store information about request history

    It is currently not possible to see whether an item has previously been requested, only that it's checked out. I want (often) to be able to tell: how many times throughout the history of this item has it been requested and in what way (page from shelf, recall, something else). It's super weird to me that this isn't present in the fulfillment history at least, and probably in analytics.

  8. Ability to add option to see if line has invoice to POL summaries

    When looking at a list of POLs, it would be useful to see in the summary or be able to add to the customised summary view, if the item has been invoiced.

  10. Provide a solution to use POLs in context of Auto Holdings collections

    The Auto Holdings collections are a big help for activating electronic resources. However, if you want combine them with manage your orders for the resources in Alma, you run into problems.
    Use case 1: A library orders several thematic e-book packages on a yearly basis from Springer. They activate SpringerLink Books - AutoHoldings. All e-books are activated there.   11. Open Predicted Items feature in MDE should bring in the Item Policy value from the previous item

    The feature of Open Predicted Items in MDE cannot bring in the Item Policy as it does for the Material Type, which is inherited well from the previous item.

  12. Item Sequences Configuration: import option

    In the area of the "Patron/User Groups" there is already an import option (Excel file) for the configuration table.
    Please provide the same feature for the Item Sequences configuration table.
    Since our counters contain the year and always have to start counting with 1, we have to change this table every year. Due to our sublibraries we have more than 50 active counters.

  13. Trial : request of a Trial viewer role

    There are 3 roles about Trials : administrator, operator and participant.
    But none gives access to the Trials and all information with only option to view (and not delete neither modify datas).
    A license viewer role exists in ALMA ; we request a similar Trial viewer role.

  14. Receiving Note - Ability to see when the note was last modified and by who

    It would be great if there was a way to see which operator added Receiving Note and when the note was added. We are trying to go through and update receiving notes, and are coming across some that we would like to get answers for. However, we aren't sure who placed the note in the first place and it could have been years ago.
    Being able to see who modified the receiving note last and when it was created would allow us to follow-up with the appropriate people or realize they no longer work with us, and move forward on…

  15. Location color schemes

    I would like to make it an option to change the color scheme of the ALMA top ribbon/possibly sidebar to differentiate locations especially between Main Circulation Desk and Acquisitions, of which I have to switch regularly. This would save me time spent on correcting errors due to being in the wrong location for a particular procedure.

  16. More information on Process Type Transit

    In 'Item history', you can see when an item was checked in and out of transit, but not for whom or whereto. If something goes wrong with the transit, you can't get any information about the inactive/completed request.

  18. Separate the ability to delete holdings and items so they depend on different privileges and roles.

    Currently, the ability to delete holdings with no inventory and to withdraw items is controlled by the same user role and privilege. 'Physical Inventory Operator Extended' role, 'Physical Inventory Delete' privelege.

    This idea proposes to separate those functions into 2 roles:
    one will be able to delete empty holdings records (and may be assigned to a broader population of users)
    and the other (the 'extended' role) will be able to withdraw items - which is considered a more sensitive action.

  19. Analytics - make History tab in User Records indexed & searchable

    We have been informed by Ex Libris that when a User Record is updated, either with an API or via the Alma interface, then those fields updated will not be updated with the daily SIS feed. They are considered "manual" changes and are therefore, locked. Now, in the history tab of User Records, you can see the changes made and by whom, but we have been told this information is not available in Analytics and the only way to know who has these locked fields is as we come across them. There is no way currently to systematically pull these…

  20. Alma RS - Lending - Ship item digitally - email address to be viewable & editable

    When Lending requests are shipped via ‘Ship item digitally’ staff cannot see the Borrowing library’s email address.

    Below is a specific case with a VDX borrowing library. However the case can be applied to other scenarioes such as when a borrowing library asks to have the request shipped to a different email address.

    Case:
    When a VDX Borrowing library has the VDX proprietary DocStore enabled and sends a Lending request to an Alma library, the DocStore email address is output in the email request field in Alma RS (docdellibrariesaustralia@vdxhost.com).
