  2. Ability to delete/remove redundant copyright records from the Approval Requests list

    We would like the ability to delete/withdraw or otherwise remove pending copyright approval requests in the Approval Requests list.
    There are a few reasons why a Library may wish to do this:
    -Associated citation has since been deleted
    -Patron digitization request has been cancelled
    -Citations with copyright records that require manual approval were added to the Approval Requests List as part of the rollover. However, some of these units will not be using Leganto and will never submit a reading list.

  3. RS BORROWING : A misleading error when patron's library card has expired

    When trying to receive or send a borrowing request that is already open in alma, but the patron's library card has expired since then,
    The message says: NO ITEMS CAN FULFILL THE SUBMITTED REQUEST
    There is no way to guess that there is a problem with the patron info.
    a better message would be: "there is a problem concerning patron's card"

  4. Allow more than 50 POLs on a PO via manual packaging

    Right now, in the Purchase Order - Package screen, you can only package 50 POLs onto one PO. The "PO lines to package" screen will only display 50 POLs max, and if you select all, then go to the next screen, it removes everything from the first screen that you selected. This means only 50 POLs max can be put on a PO. This is frustrating when we put in an order for more than 50 items and have to create multiple POs for a single order. I think the easy fix would be to have those POLs remain checked…

  5. Allow us to suppress the License from display when it is not ready with status of "Draft" or review status "In review"

    For those waiting for review licenses, we will have status "Draft" and review status "In Review". These licenses are waiting to be checked and the fields are not verified for correctness. But now once the licenses are created with inventory added, all licenses are displayed out for the user, even with status “Draft” and “In Review”.

    It will be great if only the licenses with “active” and “accepted” status can be displayed, but not the “Draft” and “In review” license that they are waiting to be verified.

  6. Allow network zone administrators to unlink bibs from member institutions

    In many cases member institutions share records with the NZ that go against the consortium's policy. In these cases the only recourse is to ask the member institution to "copy to catalog", which unlinks the record, allowing the NZ to delete the bib record. This can be cumbersome in a large consortium. It should be possible for the NZ admins to perform this action, i.e. while working in the NZ to unlink a bib from member IZs, as though any institutions holding that bib had selected "copy to catalog".

  7. The ability to sort the "List of Items" by "Copy ID" or "Item Call Number"

    Adding "Copy ID" and "Item Call Number" to the "Sort routine" in the "List of Items would be very helpful for us. We catalog various types of equipment to loan out to students. The equipment has a Permanent Call Number which designates the type of equipment and where the equipment is from using a code. Each piece of equipment belonging to that bibliographic record has an item call number so being able to sort by item call number or copy ID would make our life easier. Thank you.

  8. Allow Fines API to return closed fees in the /users/<userID>/fees/<feeID> endpoint

    Something I have noticed is that the fines API has strange behavior when it comes to returning data. /users/<userID>/fees will return only fines for a certain status supplied in the query params, which defaults to active. This makes sense and is fine, but what doesn't make sense is that /users/<userID>/fees/<feeID> doesn't return closed (paid) fees. It returns this error message

  9. add modification date to "Monitor Requests & Item Processes"

    It would be helpful to have the modification date, not just the request date as filter on the "Monitor Requests & Item Processes" page. Now it's almost not possible to find items which are e.g. stuck in hold shelf processing.
    The request date does not allow to filter for items/requests which have been processed recently.

    Make the Display in Discovery action available in any screen/view of a record in Alma, not just in a repository search or in portfolio lists. There is often the need to see how a resource displays in Primo when working in an item, orders, and other areas of records.

  12. E-resources - Add Inventory number with automatic counter

    To a physical item, is it possible to add an inventory number both manually or - if configured the sequence - with the function "Allocate" to enter the next number.
    For the ebook acquired in way "pick and choose", it is necessary the same function, with sequence number, price and date of inventory.

  13. Always add newly implemented fields to API and Analytics

    We have repeatedly run into issues with the following: Things implemented in the Alma UI are not automatically available via API and/or Analytics.

    Recent examples include:
    * June 2020 "Can't edit restricted users" - Ex Libris offered to add this to the API, but not to Analytics
    * CDI Search activation status - as of now it is not clear whether we will have access to this via API

    To be honest: I am not willing to open an idea or NERS every time Ex Libris thinks it's nice to have something in the Alma UI, but do not care…

  14. Electronic Coverage Dates should be in a date format and be available in Analytics as such

    Currently, electronic coverage dates are considered as strings and not as Dates. We request to treat them like dates and add them to Analytics, in order to base reports on these dates.

    It would be very useful to be able to take a set of titles, and convert it into a set of inventory attached to those titles. Specifically, I would like to create a Portfolio set from a set of Electronic Titles. I have regular need to move groups of portfolios from one local e-collection to another. I have only a list of ISBNs to start with, which I use to create an itemized Electronic Titles set. However, moving portfolios requires a Portfolio set, which can only be created with Portfolio IDs.   16. Update Resource-sharing request through the ALMA API

    Currently with the API, the only update option possible is shipping a resource sharing request. We request the option to perform other updates, e.g. change the status.
    (Updating the resource sharing request through the corresponding user-request does not work.)

  17. Improvement in Borrowing request search

    When searching Borrowing Requests, we would like the ability to make keyword search and to be able to search for barcodes.

    This would enable staff to work more efficiently, since they would have the ability to search across indexes, and search specific requests with a barcode.

  18. Confirmation Notice for Curbside Bookings

    Alma has allowed for the Booking Request feature to be set-up and modified as a means to provide curbisde service or make appointments. However, it appears that no letter exists to confirm the appointment day/time with the user, which would be most helpful in providing user instructions, cancellation information, contact numbers, etc. I propose that this letter be added to enhance communication and expectations especially during this challenging time of changing services and delivery options.   19. Do not automatically highlight search terms

    After completing a search in the persistent search box, the inputted text remains in that field. When clicking back into the persistent search box to edit this text, all of the text is automatically highlighted. This often results in accidentally deleting the entire search phrase when attempting to edit it slightly, or at the very least having to pay extra careful attention to click twice into the search box to un-highlight before editing. Removing auto-highlighting would streamline the process of editing searches and alleviate the frustration of many accidental deletions.

  20. Option to add user details to Pick from Shelf & in export list

    For institutions that manage requests differently depending on User Group or other values in the user record, it would be useful to have this info displayed with the rest of the request data in a pick from shelf list. Alternatively it would be useful to have this data in the export list so that staff managing these requests have this additional data to hand.
