  1. show on the courses page in Alma if it has a reading list

    We would like a way to see on the courses page if a course was handled/ have a reading list - without entering other pages.
    our librarians are not assigned a reading list - but a course, that does not yet have a reading list. They work on the Courses page and in the current state they have no way of knowing what course they already worked on.

  2. Create functionality to remove portfolio General Note entries using the Portfolio Loader or the Change Portfolio Information Job

    Currently, there isn't a way to remove General Note entries in batch. It would be ideal if there were a way to remove General Note entries using either the Portfolio Loader or the Update Portfolio Information job, instead of having to do this work manually.

  4. Add the "Assign selected" option to In Review Invoices and unassigned Purchase, Lending and Borrowing Requests

    Since the introduction of the New unified PO Line Task list, we can bulk assign PO lines using the "Assign selected" option. This is very useful.

    We would also like to be able to do this for unassigned invoices and requests in review (Purchase Requests, Lending Requests and Borrowing Requests). Currently, we can only assign invoices and requests one by one and this may sometimes be time consuming.

    Specifically for our invoices, many of them are created by EDI, and this "Assign selection" option would be very helpful to quickly assign them to the appropriate invoice operator to finalize their…

  5. Display PO Line Notes entries in Analytics with the newest notes first, to ensure their inclusion within the character limit

    Currently the 'PO Line Notes' field in the Alma Analytics 'Funds Exchange' subject area, displays the content of all note entries attached to a particular PO Line as a single block of text, starting from the earliest-dated note and ending with the latest-dated note. However, as the field's display in Analytics is limited to 4000 characters, this means that the most recent notes are omitted from the report for any PO Lines that are particularly longstanding or have particularly copious notes.   6. Allow us to create duplicate borrowing requests via the Users API

    The SUNY system has created an ILLiad addon that automatically converts ILLiad borrowing requests into either Alma borrowing requests or Alma hold requests (depending on whether the requested item is locally available). We're using the Users API to create these requests in Alma. We've figured out how to override the Alma function that blocks the creation of duplicate hold requests when necessary, but we there's no way for us to override the function that blocks the creation of duplicate borrowing requests. Please add this feature to the Users API.

  7. Notes in POL's should only be for notes (not history)

    The notes tab in POL's for serials/journals should only be for notes that pertain to that order. When orders are set to automatic renewal, every year when it renews a note is added saying "PO Line has been renewed automatically". Over the years this note takes over and all of the pertinent notes are moved to the bottom. I am constantly having to remove those automatic renewal notes to keep the important notes at the top. The automatic renewal note should go into the history tab not the note tab.

    Thank you for sharing this idea.

    I have read it carefully, and would like to make sure that I understand it:

    Current situation:

    There are several processes in PO line workflow which add automatic internal notes, for example:

    - Renewal ("PO Line has been renewed automatically on…")

    - Moving PO line out of PO (""Line was removed from Order ...")

    - other.

    Desired outcome:

    Have a configurable option to disable these notes from being created. Each of these processes is/will be saved in the PO line history.

    Please let me know if this understanding is correct.

  8. Notification on 'Pick from Shelf' link

    Can a notification or flag be added to the 'Pick from Shelf' link to alert us to new requests? Something like the notifications on Announcements and View Recommendations. Our requests are often sporadic, and it would stop us from having to keep checking the 'Pick from Shelf' list and help us be more responsive to requests.

    Would it be possible to add a new filter to the Resource Sharing Lending Policies Participating Items? At present it is only possible to exclude by material type, item policy and location. We would like a new filter for item provenance please.

  10. anonymization for purchase requests

    Similar to fulfillment requests, such as loans, digitization requests, or holds, we would like to anonymize purchase requests (ideally as part of the fulfillment job).

    There should be options of whether to include approved and/or rejected over a specific age. We understand there might be an issue with purchase requests that take an extended period to complete, so this requires purchase requests to be set to a 'closed' or 'completed' status when physical items are received or electronic inventory is activated. Currently, those statuses do not exist.

  11. Include a web service for renewing all loans at once in the API Users and Fulfilment

    At the moment, POST /almaws/v1/users/{userid}/loans/{loanid} must be called individually for each loan. This is very time-consuming, especially in large accounts, and the general API limits must also be observed. It would be conceivable, for example, to introduce the loanid ALL, similar to GET /almaws/v1/bibs/{mmsid}/holdings/{holdingid}/items for the holdingid.

    The "Retrieve Items list" has a feature, where ALL can be used for the holdingid parameter to retrieve all items from all holdings. In a similar way we could use POST /users/{userid}/loans/ALL to renew all loans.

  12. Add "Vendor invoice number" to PO Line dimension in Analytics

    Please add the "Vendor invoice number" from the Vendor Information section of the PO Line screen to analytics. It should be specifically added to the PO Line dimension.

    This field is necessary for quickly reporting on POLs that have this information stored at the POL level, but are not attached to an invoice. Workarounds include manually looking up the PO, then searching Analytics, but we shouldn't require staff to search Alma if they could directly query Analytics with an invoice number from a PDF or an email.

  15. Add a parameter to turn off Borrowing Activity Letter when using renew selected or renew all

    Currently, the "Borrowing Activity Letter" is sent when a staff member renews items for a patron via Manage Patron Services.

    This letter is often superfluous and the behavior is not ideal for libraries with "separate _ patron _ notifications _ by _ library" set to true – it ends up sending a letter from each library where the patron borrowed material.

    If we had a parameter that could turn off sending it when renew selected or renew all is used, then we would turn it off and staff could elect to send it when they felt it was useful or…

  16. Include in webhooks information on which user triggered the event (especially for items and users)

    There are numerous scenarios where knowing which user performed the action that triggered the webhook would be useful, like selectively acting on triggers based on permissions and automatic staff error handling. Currently webhooks only include whether the action was performed in the UI or not.

  18. Authority data: first indicator in the bibliographic record

    Now we have many mistakes in our bibliographic records in the settings of the first indicator by connecting with authority data (GND, IdRef, ..). It would be great to have an automatic process, which takes over the first indicator of the authority data to the bibliographic record when you select the authority heading.

    What you have then is the following: First indicator, preferred term and authority identifier are taken over from the authority record to the bibliographic record by using “select” in the index view of the authority record.

    I wonder if this request takes into account that certain fields in the 1XX/6XX/7XX have different first indicator definitions in the MARC21 standard for Bibliographic fields compared to their corresponding Authority fields. In such cases, copying the first indicator from the Authority to the Bibliographic heading would result in incorrect data. Is the reqeust is about Names only? Hans, I would recommend consulting with AAFG group for a details spec where this requested behavior is valid to which fields.

  19. More options to limit access to private patron information for student employees

    Some libraries hire students as part-time staff at the circulation desks or helpdesks. Per the institution or library policies, for privacy reasons, student employees may not be allowed to search for Alma users or to view the contact details of staff members or other student users.

    Currently, access to contact details and searching for users are by default possible to any Alma user with Fulfillment roles. Disabling the ALLOW-USERS-SEARCH privilege can prevent access to users list in Manage Patron Services and auto-complete search in same page, but it does not affect the persistent search for users or access to Admin…

  20. Improve integration between 'Place on hold' in Rialto and Tasks widget in Alma

    If the 'Place on hold' option is ticked when placing an order in Rialto, there is no notification in the Tasks widget in Alma to let Library staff know when an item has arrived. This means we are unable to prioritise the processing of those newly arrived, requested items. If we were to use 'Place on hold' in Rialto, then we wouldn't find out an item had been requested until we happened to scan it in. We would like an integration between Rialto and the requests functionality putting in place to make it apparent to Alma users when items received…
