General electronic service in Get It should built with information from the main bib and not from related record
General electronic services are built using data from the context object.
When there are related bibliographic records, the context object is sometimes created with the related record's information.
As a result, the general electronic service has the related records information - e.g. ISBN.
Desired outcome
General electronic services in getit should use the main record's data and not related record's data.

Adding a parameter to block the request queue for physical items at the title level
The request queue can be confusing for library users, as such requests are often canceled due to lack of copies. With title-level requests, the library should be able to decide whether or not to allow a queue for physical item requests. It should be possible to create a parameter for this to allow blocking the queue.

scan in items: Define the value of the "Register in-house use" blank by default
The value of the ‘Register In-House Use’ box is saved from session to session. This causes errors by staff who forget to activate or deactivate it as appropriate, so that statistical data may not be reliable.
We would like to propose that this field could be set to a default value (e.g. blank) and that staff should activate the tick when registering in-house use.84 votes -
Webhook that runs when a user is updated, to show what information was changed for that user
I tried setting a webhook to run when a user is updated.
I wanted to know what information was changed for that user. To me, this is the most obvious use case for the user webhook.
However, i get what seems like the post-changed user information only. I am unable to tell what information was changed.
Request for the user webhook to contain information about what information was changed for the user.

Add email address to Contact People table in Vendor Details>Contact People
We are configuring Vendors as new Alma customers, and we wish it was easier to immediately see the Vendor Contact People email addresses (and easily copy and paste them or even hyperlink) without having to click into the record to track down the email address.
Please see screenshot attached showing where this information would be helpful.
If there is a way to make the email address visible that we have not discovered as Alma newbies, I'd also love to learn this!
Thank you,Abigail Wickes (she/her/hers)

Add Open Access eBooks from the publisher intercom Verlag, Zürich into the Alma Community Zone
The young publishing house intercom Verlag at Zürich (Switzerland) is publishing Open Access ebooks in the Humanities.
It would be great to add an eCollection of these ebooks to the Community Zone in Alma to make these fine books available.

Add an additional audio track in the Alma Digital viewer
With the announcement of the new ADA rules implementing WCAG 2.1 requirements for audio-assisted descriptions for streaming video (see https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/#audio-description-prerecorded), we would like Alma Digital to accept an additional audio track in its film viewer that would play simultaneously with the video. While we can currently add an additional file to the Alma Digital representation, it cannot play simultaneously with the video.

Ability to sort subfields in holding records
Currently, there is an option to sort subfields for BIB records, but there is no option to sort subfields for HOLDING records.
As an administrator for Alma, it would be helpful to have the ability to sort subfields in holdings records. For example, I was adding a subfield 3 to 583 holding records via normalization rules and the subfield was added at the end of the holdings tag. I desired the subfield 3 to be listed first in the 583, but it was not possible to do.19 votes -
Add Alma support for microlanguages and language codes recognised by Library of Congress, including Austlang
Alma’s support for Language for search indexing, facet, and display is hardcoded for 041 to the 3 digit MARC Code List for Languages.
This excludes languages recognised by Library of Congress, such as Austlang languages which were recognised more than 6 years ago in 2018.
This issue has been addressed in Primo in 2021 and 2022 with customer advocacy efforts, but remains a glaring omission within Alma.
See details: https://igelu.org/primo-support-for-austlang-and-iso-639-3/The only option currently within Alma for searching this data is to use the keyword field to search by information such as C15, and then use the Language filter to limit to Australian languages (by MARC code aus).
Even then, the Austlang language is not shown in the displayed metadata.
Attempting to use the simple search Language field to query 041 metadata in Alma records when not on the MARC Code List is unexpectedly zero results.
And for the advanced search Language field, Alma offers only a hardcoded dropdown menu of languages on the MARC Code List.Successful delivery of this idea would be:
• Alma’s simple search by the Language field also returns results for all languages entered in the 041
• Alma’s advanced search by the Language field also allows for text to be entered, and also returns results for all languages entered in the 041
• Alma’s search results also displays in the Language field all languages entered in the 041
• Alma’s Language facet also includes all languages entered in the 041 from results returnedThis is fundamental to reconciliation efforts to correctly recognise and represent First Nations peoples languages in the work of libraries worldwide, as well as hindering practical efforts by library staff to address past practices and report effectively on successful progress towards this in library systems.
Note: This submission is related but not fully covered by https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/46338445-add-iso-639-3-microlanguage-names-to-alma-title-se

Analytics re-fresh (ETL) time should be reevaluated
I understand that an ETL is run at the same time for all the institutions in a specific data center. Institutions in a specific data center should be from a similar geographic area. If that is not possible, the servers should be grouped by geographic regions spanning approximately 3-4 hours time differences.
The time of the ETL run should be optimized across clients in the given geographical area. For example, if the clients are largely from the United States, the ETL could run close to midnight Eastern, which would be close to 9 PM Pacific.

Add Cancellation Reason code and Notes to the Interested In Letter XML
This essentially replicates an earlier request that was closed in 2021 without resolution:
We would like to have Cancellation Reason code and Cancellation Note available in the XML that is supplied to the Interested In letter template. The Cancellation Reason code is a distinct field In Analytics, so I would hope that this would be easy to add to the XML. The cancellation note might be trickier -- it is stored as a PO Line Note in Analytics. If the cancellation note is just one of several PO Line notes in Alma, we would be happy to have all the PO Line Notes go to the Interested In letter XML, though it would be better if the Cancellation Note was sent as a separate element in the XML.

Out of Stock Orders - Rialto
Out of Stock Orders (adding here as per response when posted on Rialto Idea Exchange by Clarivate staff)
When a Rialto item is not currently in stock it doesn’t reflect on the Order (POL) and the status is Sent. Is there something that could be done so that the Rialto status reflects in Alma’s order status? Otherwise, these orders will continue to have the status ‘Sent’. Potential issue during FY close as these orders will encumber into the next FY. Great if it will be published and/or if only a few orders with this status however not so if not. Would also be great if the other statuses that currently don't map to the Alma POL would. See screenshots 2024 Sept Rialto Out of Stock & 2024 Sept POL Sent.
This also impacts PrimoVE and end users. If a library catalogue shows on order items, the end user will see On Order with the past order date, unless it is manually removed from the POL's Expected Receipt field, a field which is autopopulated when the Rialto order placed in Alma. See screenshot 2024 Sept PrimoVE.
Thank you for considering our request.

ORCID iD Integration in Info Card for Contributor Page in Alma
Background: In August, ExLibris implemented the Info Card feature for contributor pages in Alma, which appears under specific conditions related to linked authority records. This enhancement has significantly improved the visibility of contributor information.
Current Conditions for Info Card Display:
- A person is linked to an LC Names authority for a personal name.
- A person is linked to a Name authority that exists in VIAF and can be linked to an LC Name authority for a personal name.
- Information on the person exists in LC Names and Wikidata, with at least two fields containing information beyond the name of the person.
- Wikidata cache is updated in Alma on a weekly basis.
Enhancement Request: We propose an additional feature to further enrich the Info Card functionality. Specifically, we request that when an ORCID iD in the form of a URI is present in either the LC name authority record or Wikidata for the author, the following should occur:
- Display the ORCID iD URI: The ORCID iD URI should be prominently displayed in the Info Card.
- Make the ORCID iD URI Resolvable: The URI should be clickable and resolvable directly within the Info Card in both Alma and Primo.
Benefits: Integrating ORCID iD URIs will enhance the discoverability of author contributions and facilitate seamless access to their research profiles, thereby improving the overall user experience.
Thank you for considering this enhancement to the Info Card feature. We believe this addition will greatly benefit users and contribute to the ongoing development of Alma and Primo.

Allow option to only send scheduled report from Analytics object if report has results
We want to set up reports to help us monitor for data inconsistencies and other issues that need addressing. We have noticed that we can set up reports as analytics objects and users can subscribe to them, but the report is sent even if there are no results.
We should have the option to not send empty reports, and only send if the report brought back one or more records.

Flag an alert when a purge date falls earlier than an expiry date
A colleague has raised the point that currently when editing and saving a user record, if the purge date precedes the expiry date no alert is raised. This means if the purge date is adjusted and is set before the expiry in error, nothing alerts the user to this fact.
Would it be possible to have a an alert either in the form of a message or sidebar error alert to make the operator aware of the data issue when saving the changes?

Allow updating Controlled Vocabulary (Form) code tables for Alma Digital via API
Currently these tables (with codes beginning "FormCV.vocabulary") can be read via API, but attempting to update them throws a "Requested table is hidden" error. It would be useful to update these code tables automatically from upstream data, rather than requiring staff to import a spreadsheet periodically.

Provide a Link from POL to its corresponding Full Record.
It would be helpful to be able to click on a link that takes the user into the full (i.e., main) record - including access to holding and item records.
