  1. More Options for the "Pick Up Requested Resources" Window

    It would be great to have even mor configuration options for the pick up requested resources window. (See picture below)
    For example wenn picking up SIA norms, we would like to see such fields like the series number field (field 830) so we don't have to search on in the shelve for the exact norm.

  2. Configuration of “Remote Facility” Library location

    Allow an institution to override a “Remote Facility” library location from being first or last for selection to fulfill a request.
    This should be an option via Configuring Transit Time Rules.
    An alert could be activated to notify the operator that including a “Remote Facility” library location in transit time rules will override its designation as a first or last selection.

    This would be immensely helpful for institutions that require flexibility to meet the needs of their users while adapting to needs of physical facilities on campuses.

  3. Income funds for Resource Sharing

    When we set up a fund, we choose a "fund type". We need to choose between "Resource Sharing" and "Income". This means we can setup up Resource Sharing expenditure funds but not Resource Sharing income funds.
    It would be very useful to apply an income fund to Lending Requests in the same way as we apply a resource sharing fund to Borrowing Requests. It would allow us to balance our books correctly.

  4. Resource Sharing Preferred Email Address

    We have multiple libraries set up as Resource Sharing Libraries. However as we can only have one preferred email address the Borrowing Resource Sharing Requests are coming from the default email address for the library (usually the information email address), and not the dedicated email address for resource sharing at that library.
    It would be really useful to have an email address type in a library record that is used to send Resource Sharing requests.

  5. Add more scheduling options for Integration Profile

    In Alma Configuration > General > External Systems > Integration Profiles > Actions Tab > Synchronize > Schedule,
    is it possible to add an additional schedule time, such as "Every day at 08:00" ?

    In order to meet our daily operations, many of our colleagues request integration profile job runs between 7:30 to 9am. The options right now doesn't work for us. I am wondering if we can add a schedule option at 8am or offer a drop-down list where users can choose a certain day/hour for integration profile job?

  6. Display note/comment field and requestor information in Alma Mobile

    It would be very helpful to have the note/comment field from requests display in Alma Mobile, particularly useful if the note/comment directly effects how, why, when, etc. the item is pulled.
    It would also be helpful to have the requestor information (ie their name) display in Alma Mobile, especially if multiple patron requests are being fulfilled at one time and/or they are pre-pulled items that just need to be filed on a hold shelf.

  8. Granular permissions for Alma API functions

    (The idea title is copied from a NERS suggestion (5311) that didn't make it to the second round.)

    When working with third parties it is problematic that granting access to the Alma API for the necessary functionality will often also open up for access to other information that we might not want to share with the same third party.

    An example is that allowing a vendor to create PO Lines via the API will also give the vendor access to the complete financial data of our institution, potentially giving them insights that could be used against us when negotiating prices.

  9. Exclude certain usage reports from being reported in the SUSHI Weekly Reporting

    1) Exclude 'Failed - Usage Not Ready for Requested Dates' usage reports from appearing in the SUSHI Weekly Report.
    2) Also include user option to suppress past usage reports with no available usage from reporting again in the SUSHI Weekly Report.

  10. Creation and Modify / Update information should always be the Primary ID of the initiating user account, and not "System"

    We want to use more automation and bulk options in Alma, as this has clear benefits and is one of the reasons we chose Alma for our library. But we are hindered by the current design for Alma to record outcomes as being made by “System”.

    Issues with this include that:
    • we cannot use the data to report on workflow efficiencies achieved by our staff in both Alma and Alma Analytics, which prevents using the data also for rostering and workload management both in the short term and long term trend analysis

  11. create a new item status for items "lost on shelves"

    Currently items can be marked as Missing (if not found in the Library), or Lost (if long overdue on user's account). Missing books are regularly checked on, but some of them cannot be tracked within a reasonable time for users, and the search becomes more of an in-house task than fulfilment of an immediate customer need.
    However, it is not possible to distinguish between items marked missing relatively recently and still actively searched for (e.g. because we could not find them immediately when requested by users), and those which were not found after several checks, for a long time,…

  12. Add display options for item copy ID and volume numbering to list of patron's requests

    Currently when counter staff views the list of a patron's requested items at Fulfilment module, the list does not display the item copy and volume numbering. This makes it very inconvenient when the requested titles consist of multiple copies or volume numbering. Please consider adding these 2 display options.

  13. pick from shelf Ability to see multiple libraries

    Make it possible to see and pick from shelf options from multiple libraries without changing physical location in Alma. Currently, to view pick-from-shelf options from multiple libraries, you must change your physical location. It would be better if we could see all pick from shelf requests in one place.

  14. Add 'loan date' to items list

    after 6 long years, finally "due date" as added to items list..

    "Loan date" field is as important to see, as the "due date". if we have 50 items which were loaned in different times, most of them can have the same due date (because we have periods of closed days-holydays). we have to be able to make the same decision, as system, regarding, which item can be recalled first, if we need to make manual request on specific item.
    please consider adding this field also - and really hope it wouldn't take another 6 years

  15. Give institutions the ability to have local versions of user roles

    We have just gone live and I'm setting up accounts for our liaison librarians. I'd like to create a copy of the Purchase Request Operator role to use with liaisons. I'd like fewer permissions than the canned version but I can't have ExL edit the current one because other staff need the role as it is currently. I think we should be able to make a local version of a user role that can then be edited without changing the canned user role. That or just let us keep the Selector role so I can have that edited.

  17. Add ability to sort by due date

    In certain circumstances, such as when working with renewals or overdue books, we are looking specifically for books with certain due dates. However, currently the system does not allow us to sort sets by due date, and this can make the requests we need to work on hard to find. Adding the ability to sort by due date will save staff time and frustration.

    Currently, a user with ‘Physical Inventory Operator’ role at institutional level can perform physical inventory change by a batch job ‘Change Physical Items information’ in Alma.   19. Add policy to prevent Booking requests over closed days

    On behalf of the Product management team we would like to understand the need and use cases of the following 'Planned' feature - any comment is welcome.
    Currently, Alma users and Primo patrons can create booking requests in Alma which span over several days, if user tries to book items on closed library days, and the time frame is under the max length policy - Alma will adjust the book start and end time, without checking if the resulting time-span is more than the max length.

  20. Link Resolver API Plugins

    While this would be helpful across the board, specifically with ProQuest's ownership of ExLibris it seems a logical step to add a link resolver API to increase the efficacy of the services page.

    Specifically request a Proquest Link Resolver API Plugin that would allow Alma to do a pre-check to ProQuest to see if full text is available. If the pre-check API query returns 0 matches, then the Full Text Service would be suppressed and the user would see 'No Full Text' on the Services Page.
