  1. Configure return (pop-up) notes

    Dear,

    New Alma UI: when you now return an item that is requested, you get a pop-up with an overload of notes, most of which are not useful and which make you search quite a bit for the information you are actually looking for.
    In any case, (see attachment) those last two notes are redundant. The first two are also redundant, but perhaps that second note is useful in case it concerns a lost book and no fine is generated at the time of return.

  2. Implement Upload Electronic Holdings (Autoholdings) integration for Knovel

    Knovel has to day a lot of small collections. We are experiensing that our subscription to knovel complete is not updated in a correct way.

  3. pick from shelf Ability to see multiple libraries

    Make it possible to see and pick from shelf options from multiple libraries without changing physical location in Alma. Currently, to view pick-from-shelf options from multiple libraries, you must change your physical location. It would be better if we could see all pick from shelf requests in one place.

  4. Reloading several records from the union catalog at once

    I would like to update several records from the union catalog at once, for example all the records within an itemized set. So far, this is only possible for individual records in the MDE ("Reload record from central catalog"), which is rather exhausting. It would be much easier if there was a button saying "reload records" by which you can push all checked items to the MDE and simultaneously reload the records from central catalog.

    In this way, we could easily and quickly update bibliographic records from the "Failed to update delete" event in Analytics. Another use case would be…

  5. Allowing the relink of a holding from a bib record to another maintaining the call number even if the location is the same.

    Now in Alma if you try to relink a holding with the same location (ex.: ABC) and call number 123 (1) from a record to another that have already a holding with the same location (ABC) and call number 123 (2), the holding with location ABC and call number 123 (1) disappear and everything is under the location ABC and call number 123 (2),.
    This happens with a relink of a POL or an item.
    We want to maintain the call number 123 (1).

  6. Add an API endpoint to rerun an import profile job that failed

    We are monthly running an automated import profile to import electronic resources. Almost every time the import profile job finishes with status Completed with Errors and needs to be manually "rerun".     We would like to have an API endpoint through which we can simply rerun the import profile job that have failed due to the error "Failed in Commit after calling NZ" in some of it's files. This would allow to have the whole import process truly automated and without the need to manually intervene every time it runs.

  7. Please disable default "unit price" note when creating invoices from file

    Just as what the title suggests. The note is redundant. Or allow us to remove notes in all invoice lines in batches.

  8. Quick Links for Alma Cloud Apps

    The quick links (available through the "Alma Production" button) for the most used functions in Alma are very usefull. We would appreciate if Alma Cloud Apps could also be selected as favourites and saved as quick links. It would also be great, if selected Cloud Apps could also be accessed with a key board shortcut (hot key).

  9. Improve the Update Inventory Import Profile so that it can add standalone portfolios to electronic collection

    When using the GOBI API to create e-book orders, we've chosen to not match to CZ collections, and prefer to use vendor provided marc records loaded via an update inventory import profile. The GOBI API creates standalone portfolios when PO lines are created. The Update inventory import profile lacks the ability to update standalone portfolios with electronic collection information.

    Add the possibility for alma to process electronic invoices that are compliant with European norm EN 16931. The EDIFACT standard will only be accepted until the end of 2027.

  12. No automatic cancelling of request when changing item location (or a more useful error message).

    When we change location for an item we always get an error message that says that the change can lead to requests being cancelled (if there are any). But since it always shows, even when there are no request (which is most of the time in our experience), it is easy to ignore.
    We would like to be able to choose if a request should be cancelled or not, even if the new location shouldn’t allow requests for the user.

  13. When editing an item – show only valid item policies for a chosen location

    We suggest that the drop-down list of item policies only display item policies that are valid for the chosen location. At present, the drop-down list for item policy in the physical item editor shows all item policies available in the system, regardless of whether they are actually in use for the chosen location or not.
    Or the system should display a warning when selecting an item policy that is not used for the chosen location.

  14. extended export to single file rather than multiple files for large collections

    We would like to be able to run an extended export for large local collections that have more than 50,000 portfolios and receive a single file, rather than having to spend time manually pasting them together in excel to actually use them. the arbitrary limit serves us no purpose and adds steps to our workflow. we have very limited tools to manage local collections and this is something that has bothered our staff for years.

  15. Add a user parameter to the copyright rules for accessibility

    We work closely with our Student Accessibility Support office with particular regard to our students with print disabilities. Students let that office know that they opt-in to disclosure of their name to the library, so when it comes to digital access rights, they have elevated permissions. This impacts any in-copyright materials that are digitized solely for accessibility as well as items we have in controlled digital lending.

  17. Add Fulfillment Note to the New 2025 Manage Patron Services Table Customization

    We use the Fulfillment Note field to track Lost Items by recording the patron ID, replacement cost, and billing date to our Finance department, allowing us to efficiently identify returned lost items. Additionally, we check out lost items to a dedicated patron record to facilitate tracking, reordering, or withdrawal over time. Adding this feature to the Manage Patron Services Customization Table would help ensure these notes are consistently recorded.

  18. Allow Resource Sharing Request status as displayed in user account to be customizable

    When viewing resource sharing requests in a patrons account the system truncates the request status description. For example status of Ready to be sent is truncated to Ready. Desk staff (not always those who work directly with RS requests) see Ready they assume the item is available for pick up. While we can train staff given the large number of staff and turnover, ensuring everyone knows and retains the information about what those truncated status descriptions mean is a nearly impossible task.   19. Sort "Manage sets" by modification date

    It would be nice to be able to sort "Manage Sets" by when the set was modified. The current options only allow sorting by name and creation date, which can make it frustrating to find frequently used sets that aren't at either end of the alphabet and aren't super old or super new, especially when you have many sets. Sorting by modification date would provide an easy way to access the sets you are recently working on.

  20. De-duplicate Brill "interfaces" in CZ

    There are currently three separate Brill "interfaces" when one searches for Brill e-collections in the CZ - Brill, Brill Online Reference Works, and Brillonline. Would it be possible to de-duplicate the Brill e-collections so that everything appears under a single Brill interface?
