  2. PO Line: missing identifiers ISBN/ISSN/ISMN etc.

    Please list all identifiers in the PO Line.

  3. RS Borrowing Requests - search by 'Old value' 'External ID'

    'External ID' identifying reference numbers, are not fixed in Alma Resource Sharing. They can be overwritten by third parties, e.g. The British Library, RapidILL, and once overwritten, the previous External ID cannot be used to search for the request. However, the former identifier still appears in the 'History' tab of the request under 'Old value', so they are still somehow attached to the record. It would be great, then, if Ex Libris could enable search by 'History' or 'Old Value', so that if the number has been changed by a third party, we can still easily locate it with the…

  4. Add Delegated Financial Authority limits for staff approving invoices

    Staff members approving invoices have different limits on the maximum invoice amount they can approve. Delegated financial authority (DFA) limits vary, for example, for some staff the limit is $20,000, for others it is $50,000, for others it is $250,000 and for others it is higher.

    At the moment there is no limit to the amount a staff member can approve. We would like to see the ability to set delegated financial authority limits for each staff member who is eligible to approve invoices. Each staff member should be able to have a dollar amount set (in their native currency)…

  5. Display 'suppressed bib' icon consistently in every Alma context.

    I'm looking at a list of portfolios in Alma, many linking to suppressed bibs. None of those portfolios whose bibs are suppressed display the 'eye with a line through it'-icon (which should also maybe include alt text for screen readers?)

    How about making suppressed-ness sticky throughout the UI, with a baked-in rule to protect exceptions. (ARE there exceptions?)

  6. Add a tab "re-loan" to Patron Services to return and re-loan items in one step

    An additional tab (e.g. "re-loan" or "Wiederausleihe" in German) would be a valuable improvement to the Patron Services page.
    The goal of this tab is the returning and re-loaning of an item to the patron in one step, with a pop-up warning if there are requests present in the request queue.
    The option of a re-loan tab would be a big help in cases where large amounts of items are reloaned to the same person when the items reach the maximum amount of renewals. The additional tab would make the process easier, less error-prone and especially faster.

  7. When running a Remove local coverage indicated, set Which coverage statement will be applied to "only global"

    When running a Change Electronic Portfolio Information job with "Remove local coverage" indicated, in addition to removing all local coverage information, also set the portfolio's "Which coverage statement will be applied?" field to "Only global."
    Leaving it as one of the local options incorrectly marks the portfolio as having local information if it is listed in the Community Zone Updates Task List.

  8. Automatic Selection of Query Content Functionality

    Currently, after users input their query in the search box, they need to manually click on the content to select it. However, we aim to automate this step so that once the query is completed, the relevant content is automatically selected. Additionally, we intend to provide users with the option to toggle this feature on or off.

  9. Troubleshooting/business intelligence: Make authentication method field useful (searchable in Alma, reportable in Analytics, customizable)

    We need business intelligence about the big picture of which authentication method we use for each eresource.

    There is an "Implemented Authorization Method" field in the vendor interface record but this data is only available by drilling down into the vendor record, and to those users with appropriate permissions. It's essentially invisible; there is no way to expose this data: it's not a searchable field in Alma, it's not a queryable field in Analytics, and it's not available through the APIs. The values are also not customizable but do not encompass the real life categories we need.

  10. Resource Sharing label colors

    Allow us to customize the color of Resource Sharing labels, especially the Assigned To label. Having the Assigned To label a different color would make it stand out, make it easier to find, and let others know that they can move on.

  11. Add 'Assigned date' to user roles

    We often need to know the date that a role was first added to a user's account. The status date is not static and because we use the API for updates from our SIS the status date often gets updated with random dates. The API updates also make the history tab difficult to use to track down role additions versus changes.

    We should be able to easily see a column that includes the date a role was initially assigned/added in the context of all of their roles in the General Information tab.

  12. Add a column option to the Service Availability Rules in General Electronic Services for the rule's Output Paramters (IsDisplay True/False)

    Currently when I'm in a General Electronic Service (GES), and I click on the "Service Availability Rules" tab, I can see the table list of rules. The only way to see if the IsDisplay is set to true/false is to go into each rule individually. Please make it a column in that rules table list so I can see the output parameter of IsDisplay in the list without clicking on each individual one. Even if it isn't in the default table list, please make it an option I can choose.

  13. Add Activation Status to the Funds Expenditure Area in Analytics

    We want to be able to create more complex data retrievals of our eresources based on activation status and filter these by various facets such as fund code. We have thousands of portfolios and it's not feasible to search for these on Alma when an analytics report would take seconds to create. For example, I was asked to provide a quick report listing every Journal we have on our largest budget code with an activation status of "Not activated E-Resource" by fiscal year.

  14. Show barcode field of requests in Manage Patron Services

    Please add the ability to see the barcode of a requested item (where available) on the Requests tab of the Manage Patron Services screen. It is possible to see barcodes on the Monitor Requests & Item Processes screen but not this one.

  15. Show Job category in the Manage Patron Services screen

    In our library patron accounts for Alma are imported from an external patron registration system, including Job categories. Nice. But in Alma the Job category is not shown in the Manage Patron Services screen. We would like to have it show.

  17. Include submitter name with Report to Ex Libris form

    Any Alma user who can access the action menu of a portfolio or electronic collection can submit the Report to Ex Libris form, but the Salesforce case is opened with the CRM contact chosen on the form. Unless the submitter includes their own name in the form's description field, it becomes impossible for the CRM contact to determine who opened the Salesforce ticket.

    Please include the name or primary ID of the logged-in Alma user in the Salesforce ticket. This will facilitate follow-up with the staff member who reported the issue.

  18. Prevent aggregation of fields in digital uploads

    When using the Digital Uploader tool in Alma to import records with MARC data, the uploader aggregates fields with the same MARC tags into a single resulting field once the upload is complete. For example, if a record has multiple 650 fields in an uploaded Excel field, the imported record in Alma has a single 650 field with all of the values that were (in the sheet) separated into different 650 fields.   19. Add Barcode as option for searching within the Receive New Materials list

    We are too small of an institution to use the workflow of Keep in Dept, so we receive the item once all processing is completed and the item is ready to go into the stacks. We do it this way to prevent Alma from sending availability notices until the material is truly ready for use. Having a barcode search option will make this process a lot easier and reduce errors.

  20. Attach multiple courses/sections to a reading list more quickly

    We use a single reading list for many sections of a course, and also reuse these reading lists from semester to semester. Attaching courses to a preexisting reading list is a very slow process which must be done one at a time. I'd love in the reading list courses tab, when you click "Associate Course" and then "Select from List", you were given the option of a checkbox so that many course sections could be added to a reading list at once.
