  1. Analytics re-fresh (ETL) time should be reevaluated

    I understand that an ETL is run at the same time for all the institutions in a specific data center. Institutions in a specific data center should be from a similar geographic area. If that is not possible, the servers should be grouped by geographic regions spanning approximately 3-4 hours time differences.

    The time of the ETL run should be optimized across clients in the given geographical area. For example, if the clients are largely from the United States, the ETL could run close to midnight Eastern, which would be close to 9 PM Pacific.

  3. Add all Enumeration and Chronology fields to the Inventory Information tab of an Import Profile

    Currently, only Enumeration A - C and Chronology I - K are listed in the Inventory Information tab of our Import Profiles. Our consortia uses Enumeration A-D; Enumeration D specifically is used for free-text phrases that do not conveniently fit into the category of volume, number or issue; so "index", "part", "box", etc. are all written in EnumD. This is why it is frustrating that this enumeration field cannot be imported via an import profile.

  4. Alma Purchase Request Facets - filter by fiscal year

    It would be helpful to have facets in the Alma Purchasing requests to be able to filter out orders by fiscal year. The fund codes connected to the orders have fiscal years attached to them. It would be helpful to only be able to see the orders that are within the current fiscal year and not every order ever entered.

  5. Overdue notifications

    If a user has an overdue notification fee the title of the book for which they got the fee is not mentioned in the Titles colum of the Fines tab on the user record. If it was it would help us explain the fine to a user looking for an explanation at the counter. Can this be fixed?

  6. Mail Handling Integration - In September 2025 Microsoft Exchange Online to retire Basic auth for Client Submission (SMTP AUTH)

    Are there plans for supporting more modern authentication methods (e.g., oauth2)?

    I imagine that there are quite a few customers that use Microsoft Exchange (office365) as a relay and will be affected by the retirement of basic auth for Client submission. What, if any, are your plans for handling this?

  7. Add the Lender's mailing address to the Resource Sharing Receive Slip Letter xml

    Adding this xml to the letter code would allow us to print the Lender mailing address on our Resource Sharing Receive Slip Letter. This would help us be more efficient by printing just this single letter at the time this item is received, as we normally would. Then, when our patron returns the item with the slip, we won't have to physically print out the mailing address, and can use the slip already enclosed in the book.

    For example, this xml info is included in the Ful Resource Sharing Request Slip letter in the following fields: "notificationdata/partnershippinginfo

  8. Free text box in request forms

    In the same way that there is a generic tick box built into all of the request forms, it would be useful to have a generic input box where we can request additional information about the request without having to contact them afterwards (such as purpose of loan).

  10. rename "Draft" status during ledger rollover

    When you run the "Rollover Ledgers" job, you can choose either "Draft" or "Active":
    • If you choose "Draft," Alma creates a ledger with status "Inactive"
    • If you choose "Active," Alma creates a ledger with status "Active"

    "Draft" should be renamed "Inactive" in the ledger rollover menu because it creates an inactive ledger, not a draft ledger.

    This is a problem because many staff mistakenly think choosing "Draft" will roll over the ledger in report mode. This is a reasonable assumption since report mode is available for PO line rollover.

  12. Ability to report on inventory for citations

    We would like to analyse print and electronic inventory for citations for a single or multiple reading lists. We're interested to look at reading lists with high or low print/electronic inventory so that we could engage with reading list owners e.g. for lists with high amounts of print we may want to look at the addition of e-book versions of the titles.

  13. Linking several Electronic Collections to one PO line from within the order

    In Alma it's possible to link several Electronic Collections to one PO line. This is very helpful for us. To do so you can just write the PO line number in the field PO Line in the Acquisitions and License Information in the Electronic Collection Editor. But there is no way to do it vice verse, to link the order to multiple electronic collections from within the order. This would be very important for us, especially for those cases where the Electronic Collection is not in our IZ but in the NZ, so that we are not able to edit…

  14. Add "PO Line Owner" as an input parameter for Purchase/Invoice Review Rules

    Adding "PO Line Owner" as a parameter for Purchase/Invoice Review Rules would allow differentiation by location. Our main library uses student workers for ordering, and I want to be able to have review rules in place to catch potential mistakes. Our satellite location has one staff person doing all the acquisitions. These same review rules will be cumbersome for their workflow. Having separate rules allows each location to operate most efficiently.

  16. Provide fulfillment configuration utility information in an API response

    Currently, testing configurations requires manually pasting information into the Fulfillment Configuration Utility and then reviewing output.

    It would be much more helpful if an API could accept a list of users and barcodes and return the output of the fulfillment configuration utility - names of the matched rules, or names + policy values. That would allow for much more robust and efficient testing of configuration.

  17. Overdue lending requests - sort by overdue-date

    In regards to overdue lending requests, it would be very beneficial to have the option of sorting by due date. By sorting this way, you could tackle the documents that have been kept out of circulation the longest first, with one (or two) clicks.

    Per 13.05.24, the options we can choose from in the "sort by" drop-down menu are:

    • Last interest date
    • Update date
    • Creation date
    • Title
    • Shelving location

    There are toggleable due-date spans in the facet menu. A sorting function would still be beneficial.

  18. RS - show more fields (such as Note) for Partner when using Add partner

    When selecting a Partner in Resource Sharing Borrowing Request , one can only see 4 fields (see attachment) for the Partner. It would be useful if other fields, such as Note , might be enabled. There are many criteria and information helpful when slecting a partner, and in the real world they are often saved in the Note field, and this field should be visible at the step of selecting the partner.

    In the new unified PO Line Task List view, after an action is complete and an alert that it succeeded (green with a check) or failed (red with an X) pops up. This alert is anchored to the right side of the screen and multiple alerts align vertically. However, since the new view doesn't have the column on the right side of the screen, the popups' location on the right side of the screen means that any time something pops up, it blocks actionable buttons (such as edit button in a POL submenu, seen attached), requiring that we either wait…

  20. Allow license on NZ - managed electronic resources to be viewed by member institutions in their IZs

    For electronic resources activated in the Network Zone where access is distributed to member institutions in the consortium, license terms attached to the e-resources cannot be viewed in the IZs of member institutions. License terms can be viewed by institutions only by searching Primo VE, only if "Enable Display of License Information" is enabled in their Fulfillment configurations. This is not an optimal way to search and view license terms for these resources are shared via the NZ.
