Improve discoverability of rejected requests in the Monitor Requests page
We often have to locate cancelled patron physical and digitisation requests in the Monitor Requests page. However, these requests are difficult to locate as they can only be retrieved by Title (a non-unique field) and cannot be filtered or sorted.
Please add:
-A filter for request status which includes 'rejected'
-The ability to sort requests by date created or date updated so that recent rejected requests can be seen at the top of the page
-retain the requester id. The main search term we use to locate a rejected request is the requester name or id. However this is removed from the request as soon as it is cancelled. We often have to locate cancelled patron physical and digitisation requests in the Monitor Requests page. Material types not sorted and not searchable at the title level
The item-level search for specific material types is not sorted alphabetically. This is the case in the English user interface.
A title-level search for this parameter would also be desirable.2 votes -
Optional Campus Restriction on Personal Delivery
PROBLEM:
If an institution has multiple libraries and campuses and provides hand delivery of items to faculty offices, when a faculty patron requests personal delivery of an item from another library the item will be routed to the closest circ desk that support campus delivery, even if that circ desk is located miles away from the faculty patron's office.PROPOSED FUNCTIONALITY:
As a fulfillment manager, I want to be able to configure Alma so that the personal delivery option can be restricted to the user's campus, so that items requested from another library will be routed to the circ desk that handles personal delivery for that patron.PROPOSED APPROACH:
We are already using a TOU to limit which type of patrons can request personal delivery. In the existing TOU form, there is a drop down box to limit Pickup Location to patron's campus. Currently, this has no effect on where the item is sent in the scenario described. I recommend changing the logic so that selecting this option in the TOU form forces items requested for personal delivery to route to the main circ desk at the patron's campus. See image.BACKGROUND:
I recently submitted support case 06855456 asking whether there is a way to support campus delivery on two different campuses. Here is part of the response:
Personal delivery in Alma is partly determined by an algorithm. Once a third library is the holder of the item, the routing of it is beholden to the request algorithm, and it is built to find the shortest route to get the item to a desk that supports personal delivery. Because there's no Pickup Location, there's no way for the algorithm to accommodate for campus. To the algorithm, any desk that can deliver the item is good enough, so it will pick the closest.
In order for the personal delivery algorithm to consider campus, the next step is to pursue this as an enhancement.

Library Independence - Campus Level
We have a large group of university libraries that operate together and share fulfillment rules, as well as a number of different colleges and other libraries that operator independently. Each college has a distinct Alma campus, while the centralised libraries are a member of a single campus. We would like the centralised staff at these libraries to be able to view loans at any of the libraries sharing their same campus. The only way to achieve this seems to be to assign a Fulfillment role at every library - which creates other problems.
I suggest a level of library independence which allows visibility of loan information for other libraries in the same campus where you have a staff fulfillment role.

Improve General Electronic Service
In each General Electronic Service, the Service Details page has a section marked "Disable Service," with radio button options for
Never, When resource is owned by the campus, When resource is owned by the campus and available, When resource is owned by the institution, and When resource is owned by the institution and available. These controls do not work. I have been told that making them work would be an enhancement. I suggest that they be hidden or removed in order to avoid wasting the time of library staff in trying to make them work.3 votes -
Only display relevant PO Lines
In the PO-Line Task List, only PO lines should be displayed whose PO Line Owner corresponds to the active physical location (department) or aligns with the scope of the Purchasing Manager / Operator roles of the respective user. This is intended to enhance the clarity of the list and display only the necessary PO lines.

Add all Enumeration and Chronology fields to the Inventory Information tab of an Import Profile
Currently, only Enumeration A - C and Chronology I - K are listed in the Inventory Information tab of our Import Profiles. Our consortia uses Enumeration A-D; Enumeration D specifically is used for free-text phrases that do not conveniently fit into the category of volume, number or issue; so "index", "part", "box", etc. are all written in EnumD. This is why it is frustrating that this enumeration field cannot be imported via an import profile.
It would be immensely helpful for us if all enumeration fields were listed in the import profile. There is no point in having so many enumeration fields available if you can only update some of those fields via an import profile.

Display Renewal Notes in the new Unified PO Line List
Along with the other notes that now appear in the new Unified PO Line (Vender, Activation, and Receiving) that was recently released, it would be great if Renewal notes also appeared in the Badges and Icons section when they were listed. Our staff currently use it to denote when they need to not renew an order, so having it displayed from the main list would be helpful for them to quickly parse out what needs to be handled.

Allow access to "Roles Privileges" configuration for General System Administrator
Allow access to "Roles Privileges" configuration for General System Administrator
Ex Libris staff have the ability to remove specific privileges from Alma roles via the "Roles Privileges" configuration (User Management - Roles and Registration - Roles Privileges)
Since roles in Alma are not very fine-grained, and roles often grant access to groups of privileges that shouldn't necessarily be granted as a set, it would be very helpful for customers to have access to the "Roles Privileges" configuration.
Ideally we would have the ability to make edits ourselves, but Read-Only access would also be valuable, because it would allow us to:
- know what the possibilities are for restricting specific privileges
- make constructive requests of Alma support for tailoring the privileges on a specific role.
- see when a role has had its privileges changed from the defaults, to better understand Alma system behavior
Because of the potential for negative effects on Alma users ability to work in the system, access should be restricted to General System Administrator (User Administrator is another possibility, but General System Administrator would be my top choice)
Example screenshots of what the configuration looks like to Ex Libris staff are attached.

Batch Clear Local Information from Community Zone
Sometimes local information is added to a portfolio because the community zone updates are still pending. It would be helpful to have the option to clear the local coverage info as a batch process from the Community Zone Updates Task List

I would like to be able to edit label names as you can't delete or remove old ones if they are in use. Ability to edit the name so it will change on all records using it wold be useful.

RS Lending, Overwrite Renewal Restriction
Rapido participating libraries aren't able to manually change the due date in the Resource Sharing Lending request record or update the "due back" date for the item in process when the borrowing library is RapidILL. When RapidILL libraries contact us as the lender and ask us to renew something, there is literally no way to do this. This is probably true with other broker partners that don't allow renewals. Lending libraries should be able to update/overwrite due dates in Lending request records and manually change the due back date for items in the ILL lending process.

Income funds for Resource Sharing
When we set up a fund, we choose a "fund type". We need to choose between "Resource Sharing" and "Income". This means we can setup up Resource Sharing expenditure funds but not Resource Sharing income funds.
It would be very useful to apply an income fund to Lending Requests in the same way as we apply a resource sharing fund to Borrowing Requests. It would allow us to balance our books correctly.3 votes -
Add Delegated Financial Authority limits for staff approving invoices
Staff members approving invoices have different limits on the maximum invoice amount they can approve. Delegated financial authority (DFA) limits vary, for example, for some staff the limit is $20,000, for others it is $50,000, for others it is $250,000 and for others it is higher.
At the moment there is no limit to the amount a staff member can approve. We would like to see the ability to set delegated financial authority limits for each staff member who is eligible to approve invoices. Each staff member should be able to have a dollar amount set (in their native currency) so they can only approve invoices that have invoice amounts that are at or below the limit.
This enhancement would ensure that best practice financial audit and compliance processes can be achieved

Allow lending libraries to send lost resource sharing item invoices directly to the borrowing library in Alma
Currently, Alma does not allow a lending library to send an invoice to a borrowing library within Alma in the event a resource sharing item is lost or damaged. This requires libraries to develop a manual resource sharing billing workflow outside of Alma. An Alma letter that can serve as a lost resource sharing item invoice would be incredibly helpful. We would need to be able to trigger this letter manually for specific requests on demand, but it would also be extremely helpful if this letter could be triggered automatically once an item is more than a certain number of days overdue.

Tables need an option to clear the default value
There are various code tables in Alma that prompt you to choose "Default Value -- Yes/No" when adding a row to the table. Once multiple rows have been added, it's possible to select one value to be the default value. However, once one value has been chosen as the default at any point in time, there is NO option to clear the default value (short of deleting the default value row which causes other problems). There are times when we don't want a default value but "Yes" was chosen by mistake when adding a new row.
One example of this kind of table is the reporting codes for Acquisitions. We're getting a lot of "junk" data because a default value has been selected and if staff don't think to look at that field when working with the POL, the data gets left there.

Electronic Resource Activation Task List - Enhanced Assign to
In the "Electronic Resource Activation Task List" the list can only be assigned to specific users (or unassigned so everyone can see it), it would be nice to be able to assign it to a group of people, (perhaps by user role profiles, or a new profile type of 'group user' that links other profiles together, like user role profiles) as different tasks fall on different areas of the department.
This would also be helpful in "Reading Lists Task List", as in our case it is location specific handling of the tasks.

Add SUSHI “Status Description” field for uploaded files as column option in Analytics
Ex Libris has said “No valid report items found in the file” is behavior that should still be listed as a “Fully Processed” file, but it would be helpful if we could more easily find files that we believe may not have loaded properly based on their Alma “Status Description” in Analytics.
