Show character limits in field
If there is a character limit for a field, show it. Ex being Vendor Details: Contact Information: Web Addresses: Notes. As of now, an entry going over the character limit is truncated with no notification, so unless you know to check, data is lost. Simply adding character limits visible (i.e. 351/400) would solve this completely.

Different Print Templates by item type for Loan Receipt Letter
It would be great to be able to create different templates for sending out the email when a user checks out an item. Our IT department wants to send out a "Terms of Use" for when a user checks out equipment. Currently, if we were to add that to our letters, we have to place that for ALL check outs.

Reading Lists in the Task List Customise Alma task list (tasks requiring your attention) to match all our reading list statuses
As Acquisitions & Reading Lists Manager I would like to customise the Alma task list (tasks requiring your attention) to help the reading list team manage the reading list workflow as using facets is a time-consuming long way round to find the list categories each time.
Alma task list (tasks requiring your attention), section Reading lists, we would like to customise this list of tasks or add all reading list statuses each Library may have.
We have reading lists with status other than Unassigned - processing, complete, reading for processing.
We have 'updated' and 'core done' to help us manage the workflow.
Currently the options available for Reading Lists in the Task List are:
Reading List - Unassigned
Reading List - Unassigned - complete
Reading List - Unassigned - processing
Reading List - Unassigned - reading for processing
Reading List - Assigned to Me - reading for processing
Reading List - Assigned to Me - List with new note
Reading List - Unassigned - List with new note

Library staff Email Notifications capability for Subscription Renewals
Although Alma allows library staff to specify the Renewal Reminder Period in number of days, there is currently no mechanism in place to allow the configuration of subscription renewal reminders to be sent via email to staff.
This would be a particularly useful tool for subscription management. Could this capability be added to the Renewal Information section please?

Make restored CZ electronic portfolios local when using the Manage deleted repository tool
When using the Manage deleted repository tool to restore deleted CZ electronic portfolios, the restored portfolio should be restored as local, with the blue house icon.
Currently, the restored portfolio does not become local, but instead appears as linked to the CZ (blue person icon displays), even though the CZ portfolio no longer exists. The result is portfolios in your IZ, that look like they should be CZ linked/managed, aren't. Because the portfolios appear as CZ linked, you are unable to identify the portfolio as local through filtering/reporting and take desired follow up actions. For example, if a CZ portfolio for the title were added back to the CZ collection, you are unable to link the restored portfolio back to the CZ since it isn't technically "local".

Invoice Line Price and Additional charges data made available in Analytics
There is a need in our Acquisition department, and in the Collection Strategies department, to better understand what we spend on tax and freight for individual funds. In past fiscal years we used separate funds dedicated to the freight and tax funds. In this new fiscal year and going forward all funds, as has been practiced with endowment funds, will have freight and tax encumbered and invoiced within the fund itself. This is to align with the campus's new financial system. In order to track freight and service charges per fund in any fiscal year going forward we need to access invoice data that is in Alma, but not currently available in Analytics. Specifically we are looking to have the invoice data called Additional Charges. Most specifically Shipment amount and Additional charge. There are different options for Additional charge, and in our case we use Service Charge for any invoice billing. As it is we have no other way of accessing this data in a reliable form in order to get a fuller picture of expenditures for entire funds.
Also it would be helpful if the Invoice Line Price data was available in Analytics. It is there in Alma, but only the Invoice Line Total Price is available in Analytics. We would like the Invoice Line Price, before the tax and freight are added to make the Invoice Line Total Price, available as data in Analytics. With this we could derive the difference between the total material costs for each fund, and the shipping + service charge combined, and tax of each fund.
But the Invoice Additional Charges in Analytics would be the most beneficial.

Create an All Open Access CZ Collection for Elsevier ScienceDirect Journals
Could a CZ collection be created for Elsevier ScienceDirect journals that are completely open access leaving out hybrid journals (or what Elsevier terms as "contains open access" or "subscribed & complimentary"). That information can be found on their web site: https://www-sciencedirect-com.proxy.binghamton.edu/browse/journals-and-books?contentType=JL&accessType=openAccess
If a title becomes open access after a specific date, that information can be found on the journals "All issues" page (see attached showing that Advances in Nutrition became OA "31st December 2022").

Linking Funds to Location Codes so the Funds allocation can be calculated by the ordered copies for the Location Codes
My library recently moved to Alma, but we found that the location codes were not linked to the Funds. It is a big problem for us as we ordered more than 30 copies for 30 locations spending on 7 Funds, while the Funds calculation had to be done by excel table and inputted the amount manually. We have to spend an hour for one order eventually.
What we expected (and suggested here is), just like our old library system, is when entering the Ordered Items part with location and ordered copies, the Funds with respective distributions shall be generated rather than entered.
Thank you.

Create a way of marking borrowing requests visually for Staff Attention
Sometimes we receive borrowing requests that need special staff attention when the item is received or returned. Examples include:
- When the other library is sending an invoice inside the item we are receiving
- When the other library requests special handling in the use of the loaned item
- When an item needs to be returned in special packaging or with insurance
- When an item needs to be returned with accompanying IFLA vouchers
- When an item has loose pieces which need to be checked for before return
- When the item received in a request did not come from the active partner
Student workers process most of our physical resource sharing items, and currently we don’t have an easy and reliable way for the students to see that these items need to be brought to staff attention rather than be processed normally. Our systems librarian has created a Chrome extension which highlights the request row and adds “Note: check with staff when returning” in big letters when we add the label return_attention to the request, but it doesn’t always work, can be broken by updates to either Alma or Chrome without us noticing, and requires our student workers to always use Chrome instead of their preferred browser (spoiler alert: they don’t). We would like to see an official Clarivate way for requests requiring staff attention to be really, really hard to miss so we can ensure that our partners’ materials are treated in the manner they expect when they’re loaned to us. (An image of our Chrome extension at work is attached to this submission)

Display all assigned PO lines in task list
With the introduction of the new PO line layout, it became possible to manually assign PO lines, regardless of their status. However, the Alma task list (tasks requiring your attention) still only displays assigned PO lines, when they are in review. Assigned PO lines with different statuses tend to be overlooked.
It would be very useful for ACQ staff to be able to see all PO lines assigned to them in the task list. This could also encourage more use of the "Assign To" function.

Improve batch Connexion export process
Currently, exporting records in batch from Connexion results in a status report for each individual record as it processes. Each status window must be closed before the next record can be processed. See screenshot for example. This becomes very tedious when working with hundreds of records. A configuration that permits Connexion to export in true batch form with a status report appearing after either the complete job or a set number of records (10 or more) would be preferable.

Consortia distribution mode of RetentionReason table per row
Hi,
we're thinking about the distribution of configuration for the Collection development from the Network Zone.
For our use case, we need to be able to centrally distribute the Retention Reason table per row (
Customization mode: Specific rows can be customized). There might be a mix of consortia and local reasons for retention. The NZ should be able to distribute the consortia retention reasons and the IZs should be able to add their own local retention reasons independently of the distributed NZ reasons.16 votes -
Prevent the moving of Analytics reports to subfolders
We have identified an issue with Analytics reports being able to be moved, and some negative consequences of that.
One morning we noticed that our IZ shared reports folder is no longer in the shared folder. In spot checking our NZ and other IZs, this was the only one missing.
A member of our report groups reports that she is seeing that missing folder under her My Folder. When she tries to move it back it says Access Denied.
Essentially, the folder has the permissions for the Institution, so when it is cut/pasted/moved into a private folder, it is allowed. However, when the folder is moved into the private folder, the user is stopped due to no one having permissions or ability to create objects at the institution level.
We believe folders such as this should not be movable as it can happen inadvertently and interrupt staff's ability to use reports.
We opened a ticket with Ex Libris many years ago but have been told that "After a thorough examination, it has been decided that a solution for this will not be part of the current Alma work plan."
We would like these higher level folders to be unmovable in order to prevent these issues.

Add reminders to Analytics
The function reminders is only partly useful at the moment. Improve it by adding reminders to Analytics. Creating and scheduling reports on reminders by type, status, text and so on would be very helpful for us.

【NACSIS-CAT/ILL Cloud App】We would like to request that prefix matching search, similar to WebUIP, be implemented in the Cloud App as well.
Unlike Western books, Japanese titles are not displayed word by word, so prefix matching search is frequently used.
Therefore, it would be very helpful if prefix matching search could be enabled, as it is in WebUIP.The following three prefix matches are possible in WebUIP but not in the Cloud App. Could you please adjust the system to enable prefix matching search?
(1) Cloud App “NACSIS-CAT/ILL” > Catalog > Book Bibliography
(2) Cloud App “NACSIS-CAT/ILL” > Catalog > Journal Bibliography
(3) Cloud App “NACSIS-CAT/ILL” > Catalog > Uniform Title AuthorityThank you in advance.

Add an API endpoint to rerun an import profile job that failed
We are monthly running an automated import profile to import electronic resources. Almost every time the import profile job finishes with status Completed with Errors and needs to be manually "rerun". This is a documented behavior: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/040Resource_Management/060Record_Import/080Monitor_and_View_Import_Jobs#Rerun.
We would like to have an API endpoint through which we can simply rerun the import profile job that have failed due to the error "Failed in Commit after calling NZ" in some of it's files. This would allow to have the whole import process truly automated and without the need to manually intervene every time it runs.

Alma as a linked entity User Interface
The Alma backend comprises a large bunch of linked entities of different types like title, holding, request, item, report, ... However, on the user interface side theses links and references often are only displayed implicitly. We propose to make these references explicit. Example: The list of requests shown in "Monitor Requests and Item Processes" display a MMS-ID as well as (in certain cases) an Item ID. In order to view the respective title or item entity one has to copy the ID and paste it into the title, respectivly item search. We propose to add a "one click link" for any entity ID displayed by Alma. Further examples:
- Active and Expired Hold shelf: Item entities as well as title entities should be linked.
- Lending requests: Item entity shoul be linked.
- Process reports: Any entity IDs should link their respective entities.
- Analytics: Any entity ID within an arbitrary analysis should get a direct link to their respective entity within the Alma User Interface.
In addition in order to becom a linked entity User Interface, Alma must provide a means to share entities with other. Deep linking funktionality is a overdue feature, and, of course a prerequisite for linking Alma entities from within Analytics.
Last but not least: The usage of book cover thumbnails is inconsistent within Alma. We propose to provide book cover Thumbnails whereever a reference to a title entity is given (explicitly or implicitly).

Receiving queue - continuous, claim status and last issue collected
I am an acquisitions librarian at a legal deposit library. We have nearly 9000 active subscriptions and we often want to look at the status of other active POLs by the same vendor when receiving. It would be helpful to see in the receiving queue the receipt status of a POL at a glance, rather than having to go into manage items. This would be whether the POL has overdue items (is in claim); and the description of the last issue collected.

Please disable default "unit price" note when creating invoices from file
Just as what the title suggests. The note is redundant. Or allow us to remove notes in all invoice lines in batches.
