Prevent placing different request types on the same item
Currently in Alma there is no cross check and no way to prevent a patron from placing both a Physical Item Request and the Digitization Request on a single item. The Ex Libris expectation is that requests will be reconciled through the request queues. However this adds additional time to the request process as it requires contacting the requester to confirm which type of request they need. I encountered the lack of a preventive configuration created a concrete clash as it came to our attention when a patron placed both types of requests on an item. This impacted 3 locations and resulted in an unnecessary and wasteful transit and confusion for staff and the patron. The Physical Item request transited from one holding location to a second location for pick-up. The Digitization request was received at another holding location.
By adding a configuration that allows institutions to limit types of requests on an item it would maintain a consistent and efficient workflow for staff and timely delivery for patrons.Currently in Alma there is no cross check and no way to prevent a patron from placing both a Physical Item Request and the Digitization Request on a single item. Extend or allow one to be able to extend the time it takes to time-out when on the Manage Patron Services screen.
Please extend or allow one to customise their own time-out settings for the Manage Patron Services screen.
Gets on my nerves when I'm in the middle of composing an email to a Patron about their loans and I have to keep bringing up their account because it goes back to the search screen.
I need more time if I'm dealing with: fines, loan history, and making notes on an account, whilst trying to communicate what I'm doing.

Add portolios from CZ Updates Task List to associated collection in bulk
The Community Zone Updates Task List displays portfolios that were added to a non auto-active collection. But you can only handle these portfolios one by one. It would be helpful to select the desired portfolios and to add them in bulk to the associated collection.
The planned solution from ExLibris to manage collections as auto-active collections is not wanted because not all portfolios that are automatically activated are interesting to the library (e. g. when the library has a specific book stock and does not provide its readers with all scientific disciplines).1 vote -
Customize the Register/Update User (Quick User Management) screen/window
Watching a Primo demo complete with a discussion on how the view was customized, made me wonder if certain areas in Fulfillment could be customized. Is it possible to customized/configure the Register/Update User (Quick User Management) screen/window depending upon the role of the user? For instance a Circulation Assistant or Student Assistant would see only a limited number of fields (of course all the mandatory ones) whereas an Admin would see all the fields?

Automatically disable a loan rule
During the holidays, we set up exceptional loan rules for a specific period (e.g. summer holidays).
But these rules must be deactivated manually, at a given date, in order to return to the normal rules used during the academic period.
It would be very interesting if these rules could be deactivated automatically by Alma, by entering, for example, an expiry date.

Transit Time Rules for Work Order Departments
We have work order departments in a central location providing services to multiple libraries across our state. When the department has completed their task and is ready to send the item to the distant library, Alma sets the delivery date to 24 hours when the transit time between libraries could take 72 hours. This confuses patrons who believe the item is available when it is in transit.
The Transit Time Rule set between libraries are not configured to include Work Order Departments and only the library level is available for configuration. We would like the Transit Time Rules to include the option to use Work Order Departments.

When printing a shipping slip, you should always have the option of selecting "quick print" in case the receipt printer isn't functional.
"Quick print" allows you to print the slip from a regular printer, but this option isn't always available. I've been typing the information the borrowing library will need in a Word document and sending that along with the book. It's impossible to generate a barcode this way, of course.

Allow API update action of License in POLine record
Currently, License field in POLine record cannot be updated via Acquisition API. There are no effective way to link up POLine record and License record without manual update one by one. The field were mentioned in the restpoline.xsd as
"The license code. Relevant for electronic orders only, and is not supported for PUT. "

Make the "License ID" visible in Alma
My team was trying to investigate ways to make sets for a project regarding our licenses and thought using the License ID would be great, but it's frustrating since we can't even see what the License ID actually is unless you find it in an Analytics report and search for it. In Analytics, you can add a column to show the "License ID", but are unable to view that in Alma. I think if it's viewable in Analytics and it's also a searchable field in Alma, it would make sense to make it an option to view in Alma as well in the Licenses section.
It doesn't have to be a mandatory view, but it could be an option that Alma users could include in their column display.

Scanning books with Alma Mobile to do Shelf Report
The idea is to allow staffs to scan the barcodes of a batch of books on the shelf to automatically create a list that will upload to Alma Shelf Report, so we can check misplaced books, missing books, and books that have not been added to Alma, etc. This eliminates the need to create an excel list of barcodes, a desktop laptop, and a handheld scanner. Shelf reading will become faster, more streamlined, and more accurate.

Lending requests - requests shipped as physical non-returnable should automatically get status Request Completed
Now when there is an lending request in Alma and we choose the option "Ship non-returnable" then such request gets a status "Shipped physically". We suggest that such request should automatically get status "Request Completed" because it was shipped and such request is completed according to our workflow.

Borrowing requests: comment (from Primo) should not be transferred to request note field but to the Note field
The content of the comment (from Primo) was transferred to the "Request Note" field (=Request Attributes).
We didn't want that to happen.

Add "Job category" in the expandable requester's info label in the RS request.
We would like to have a requester's "Job category" (Department) listed in the expandable requester's info label in the RS request (see the picture attached).
When a request is unfilled the Document Delivery staff send a notification message to the relevant department mailbox straight from the request via “Send query to patron”.
Currently, we must open the requester's account to find out their department then go back to the request to send a message. This is very inconvenient.
It would be useful to make the label modifiable to let a library to create the label by selecting only parameters necessary for their needs.We would like to have a requester's "Job category" (Department) listed in the expandable requester's info label in the RS request (see the picture attached).

We have student workers to perform waiving fines/fees activities. We'd like an option disable certain circulation desk operators' ability to waive fines/fees for themselves.

Ability to report on Note (5XX) fields - bibliographic details folder/dimension
We request that the Bibliographic Details dimension in Alma Analytics have an entry added for Notes, wherever the Subject Area has "Bibliographic Details" presented. This Notes attribute should include all 5XX fields and subfields in the bib record. The data should use a separator (e.g., ;) to identify the information from different and repeated 5XX fields. This is useful information for libraries for reporting purposes.
