  1. Loan due date should appear in Facets and/or Analytics

    It should be possible to the the actual Loan Due Date given to the patron, in addition to the Due Date given by the Lender in Facets.
    It should also be possible to retrieve a list of such RS requests by Loan Due Date via Analytics.

  2. Create an Alma collection for YouTube news videos published by Deutsche Welle.

    Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany's international news broadcaster, maintains a large collection of videos on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCknLrEdhRCp1aegoMqRaCZg). One of our librarians has asked us to catalog these so having them available in the community zone would be helpful.

  3. Controlled Vocabulary: Deploy Changes the from Controlled Vocabulary Registry Screen

    As a catalog administrator, I want to deploy controlled vocabulary changes from the controlled vocabulary registry screen with a deploy button so that don't lose time with navigating to another screen.

    Currently, controlled vocabularies that are managed in the controlled vocabulary registry must be deployed in a separate step by going to Alma configuration > Resources > Metadata management > e.g. MARC21 Bibliographic > Deploy.

  4. Controlled Vocabulary: Display locally managed controlled vocabularies in the Controlled Vocabulary Registry

    As a metadata administrator, I want one place in the Alma configuration that shows me all controlled vocabularies so that I can view and modify them more easily.

    Currently, locally managed controlled vocabularies (that are linked locally to just one specific field) aren't displayed in the controlled vocabulary registry. This makes it tedious to look them up, view and modify them. To do so, you currently have to go to the specific field and subfield in the metadata configuration. This costs a lot of clicks and feels tedious.

  5. Merge rules: Make primary and secondary records configurable

    For merge rules, it is currently fixed which of the two records involved is primary and secondary. However, for certain scenarios, it would be very handy to have the possibility to change that default configuration (a) as default for the specific rule, and (b) when applying the merge rule in the metadata editor. For example, if you want to use external search to enrich your record on the left pane with the record on the right pane.   6. FRBR report option in Alma

    Primo has the ability to group titles (mulitple editions, for example) using FRBR principles. However, finding multiple editions of titles is very slow and cumbersome in Alma. A "FRBR" report option in Alma/Analytics would be very beneficial for collection work and could draw on capabilities already existing in Primo.

  7. Stop "User manager" role's ability to add and delete Alma administrator roles

    Ideally, there shall be a separation of managing patron users and managing staff users. If that is not possible, please make it impossible for people with "user manager" role to add and delete administrator roles.

  8. Rapid ILL: ALMA Created lending request. To have .PDF Preview viewer also in 'Download Electronic Resource'

    In ALMA there are two different ways to upload a .PDF file to a Rapid ILL created lending request. The 'Ship item digitally' (Document Delivery) way allows upload and also content preview of the actual .PDF file. The other way is via 'Download Electronic Resource' which is better because citation information also appears. But the 'Download Electronic Resource' way does not have a content preview of the .PDF file. The idea proposed is to add the same .PDF file preview window, within the 'Download Electronic Resource' option. This will improve accuracy and efficiency in our workflow.

  9. Add Barcode as option for searching within the Receive New Materials list

    We are too small of an institution to use the workflow of Keep in Dept, so we receive the item once all processing is completed and the item is ready to go into the stacks. We do it this way to prevent Alma from sending availability notices until the material is truly ready for use. Having a barcode search option will make this process a lot easier and reduce errors.

  10. Prevent aggregation of fields in digital uploads

    When using the Digital Uploader tool in Alma to import records with MARC data, the uploader aggregates fields with the same MARC tags into a single resulting field once the upload is complete. For example, if a record has multiple 650 fields in an uploaded Excel field, the imported record in Alma has a single 650 field with all of the values that were (in the sheet) separated into different 650 fields.   11. Create an Alma Idea exchange category for License

    There is no category specific for the License area of Alma, which makes it difficult to find other's ideas for License improvements. I had to choose a category for this idea and went with "Resource management - Electronic", and definitely didn't want to go with "other"

  12. Show Job category in the Manage Patron Services screen

    In our library patron accounts for Alma are imported from an external patron registration system, including Job categories. Nice. But in Alma the Job category is not shown in the Manage Patron Services screen. We would like to have it show.

  13. When running a Remove local coverage indicated, set Which coverage statement will be applied to "only global"

    When running a Change Electronic Portfolio Information job with "Remove local coverage" indicated, in addition to removing all local coverage information, also set the portfolio's "Which coverage statement will be applied?" field to "Only global."
    Leaving it as one of the local options incorrectly marks the portfolio as having local information if it is listed in the Community Zone Updates Task List.

  14. Readability of the item availability column

    The Item availability column becomes illegible if it’s more than two lines long, which is often the case for Serials. It would be helpful to be able to adjust the width of the column and it would also be helpful if there could be a line break for each new 866 zone (Marc21).

  15. Add Process types and statuses in the menu “Manage in Process items”

    It would be helpful to be able to search by Call number in the menu « Manage in Process items ».
    The list of results cannot be filtered or sorted by modification date, by status or by the operator who did the last change.
    The description of the item (Year, Volume, Number…) is also missing from the list and can only be seen by editing the item. It would be helpful for the resource management of serial publications.

  16. Process types and statuses in the list of predicted items

    In the list of items, we would like to add to the customisation view the ability to see the date on which the process type was last modified. Currently, you have to edit each item and check the 'History' tab to get this information
    Moreover, all the history disappears as soon as the item is received.

  17. Changing the rank of holdings in Alma

    When a bibliographic record contains several holdings, they are displayed in random order (as far as we know).
    It would be helpful to be able to change the rank of display for holdings, especially for serials, in order to show the item availability by date for a better and more logical reading.
    The option is available for Primo, we would like to be able to change this configuration in Alma too.

  18. The generation of new predicted items takes a lot of time

    Generating new predicted items for daily, weekly, monthly newspapers takes a lot of time : up to 15 minutes for some daily newspapers with numerous supplements and issues.
    No message is displayed indicating that the generation is in process, which could prevent us from launching duplicate treatments.

  19. Ability to restore deleted authority records via Manage Deleted Repository

    Currently deleted authority records cannot be recovered through Manage Deleted Repository. It would be useful if this option was available.

  20. Ability to add invoice line by scanning ISBN or Barcode

    Manually keying invoices, especially for LOTE books is difficult when you can't easily use the ISBN or shelf-ready barcode to bring up the POL to create the invoice line. The title on the invoice supplied by the vendor rarely matches how the title is imput in Alma in the POL, so that is an unreliable data point. ISBN and Barcode should also be options for searching for Order lines in a basic Order line search.
