  1. Analytics : Add Website URL to Users subject area

    On a user record there is a field called "Website URL" however this isn't included in Analytics.

    It would be useful to have this as it would save the need to put URLs into other less appropriate fields just to get the data on an analytics report.

  2. Alma Mobile App, pick from shelf, add edition

    It would be great if edition/year could be added to the Pick From Shelf functionality within the Alma Mobile App

    Currently you only see Title & Editor + Location, Call Number and # of Requests, we have multiple editions of items and often find the wrong one is picked, requiring the staff member to go back and get a different copy (after checking Alma Desktop for the correct edition)

    If more data was shown, either on the pick list or by pressing the title to pick, it would improve the functionality of the app.

  4. Rapido – Popup warning when local/consortium copy exists

    We have more than 4 millions documents in our consortia, and a Rapido service. Sometimes patrons order a document via Rapido while this document is available locally. This can be choice or an error. To avoid errors, Rapido should display a configurable popup whenever a patron submits a Rapido request for an item that is available in our consortium. The popup would warn the user that a free local loan exists and ask for explicit confirmation before sending a paid ILL request, for example: “One or more copies are available from your library network for free loan.   5. Receiving Note - Ability to see when the note was last modified and by who

    It would be great if there was a way to see which operator added Receiving Note and when the note was added. We are trying to go through and update receiving notes, and are coming across some that we would like to get answers for. However, we aren't sure who placed the note in the first place and it could have been years ago.

  7. Letter for purchase requests initially approved and finally canceled

    Sometimes it happens that a user's purchase request is initially approved by the acquisitions staff and sent to the vendor, but sometimes it ends up being canceled for some reason.

  8. Items should not be able to be checked out if they haven't been received

    If an item isn't fully received at the receiving desk and is still showing as in the Acquisitions Tech Services department, items should not be able to be checked out to patrons, or they should be automatically marked as received and a work order created so they are routed back to the Acquisitions Tech Services department once returned. If items aren't fully or correctly received due to human error but are checked out to patrons, they may never be thoroughly received because they are likely to just be re-shelved when they are returned.   9. From 'view vendor' list in POL, add '+' capability to Add Vendor?

    Right now one has to either search vendor before order entry, or gamble that the vendor is already in the database and just try entering the POL. But then, if the vendor is NOT in the database, one has to back all the way out, add the vendor, and then start over.

    It would be great to have an 'add vendor record' link right there, with a 'back' button to finish the POL in progress, That would really minimize workflow interruptions during the POL entry process. Might others find this helpful? If you hate stopping, navving somewhere else in…

  10. Configure the User Services page to include statistical information

    On the User Services page, when we are looking at a user's data, we can see the Notes and some other basic data. It would be interesting to be able to choose which of the user data we want to see here. Specifically, we are interested in including statistical data.

  11. Have Alma/Primo support the ability to account for coverage dates in physical inventory.

    Currently we have a display logic rule in place for articles - so if the item is available in our institution we do not provide a Resource Sharing option for the patron. So - if we do have the item - but not the complete item - (all the dates available) - we need to have the Resource Sharing option available for that patron. The display logic rule doesn't consider coverage dates for the display.   12. Allow the existing configuration of the user form to apply also on the "Vendors > Contact People tab > Add Contact" page

    This idea was opened by Ex Libris to see how the community supports it.

    There is an existing configuration for the user form which was added in August 2022: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2022/Alma_2022_Release_Notes#Configure_the_User_Form

    Please have this configuration apply also when creating a new vendor "Contact" (Vendors > Contact People tab > Add Contact).

    For example, if an institution selected that some fields should not appear in the user creation form, these field should also not appear in the vendor contact creation form.

  14. Physical PO line creation - allow the interested user defined on the PO line to place a title level request when the PO line is created

  15. Add a new privilege to the "Purchasing Operator" role which will prevent users with this role from being able to delete items

    This Idea was submitted by ExLibris to check the community support for the following enhancemnet:
    Currently, users with "Purchasing Operator" role can delete items, the existing logic behind this is, when a PO line is created (even before it is received), there is a need for the Purchasing Operator to be able to delete the item in case of an error on the order.

  16. Streamline PO Line Renewals &

    For PO lines for subscriptions that will be renewed, currently the funding, date, and cost information fields need to be manually changed for each term of the subscription. It would be helpful to be able to duplicate/indicate the new information for each year/term period and retain the old info for analytics/reporting, calculating increases, etc. If rollover functionality were to be added for the funds(s) and dates based on the term details, that would also be fantastic.

  17. Add a column option to the Service Availability Rules in General Electronic Services for the rule's Output Paramters (IsDisplay True/False)

    Currently when I'm in a General Electronic Service (GES), and I click on the "Service Availability Rules" tab, I can see the table list of rules. The only way to see if the IsDisplay is set to true/false is to go into each rule individually. Please make it a column in that rules table list so I can see the output parameter of IsDisplay in the list without clicking on each individual one. Even if it isn't in the default table list, please make it an option I can choose.

  18. renewal reminder

    Is it possible to add the name of the e-collection to the POL renewal reminder email? the current reminder is generic and doesn't have any information in the email to let us know which collection is being renewed. most of the e-collections I have in the network zone, are Electronic Collection -> Subscription. the email reminders are not really helpful without the name.

  19. Pick from shelf include statistical category, Title in 245ab and order of column

    Currently, there are no way to include additional column to the spreadsheet export of pick from shelf. It would be very useful to add statistical category to the pick from shelf list for additional data of requestor. Options to include Title in 245ab would avoid long title to look for. Allowing custom order of column would be very useful as well.

  20. Support Storage Location ID in SRU and Barcode API Queries

    Hi,

    Currently, Alma's BIB SRU interface does not support querying by Storage Location ID. This limits our ability to perform targeted searches for items based on their physical storage location, which is a critical need for institutions managing remote or offsite collections.

    We propose the following enhancements to improve Alma's interoperability and search capabilities:

    1. Extend the BIB SRU “q” parameter to support querying by Storage Location ID.

    2. Introduce an ITEM-level SRU endpoint, similar to the existing BIB SRU, that would support more granular item-level searches including by Storage Location ID.
