  1. Automatically disable a loan rule

    During the holidays, we set up exceptional loan rules for a specific period (e.g. summer holidays).

    But these rules must be deactivated manually, at a given date, in order to return to the normal rules used during the academic period.

    It would be very interesting if these rules could be deactivated automatically by Alma, by entering, for example, an expiry date.

  2. Add a new Bibliographic ID field for OCLC Control Number 035z to display each OCN one row per MMS ID

    Currently, a user may retrieve a delimited list of cancelled OCLC control numbers from the OCLC Control Number (035z) attribute under Bibliographic Details. However, this field has limited usefulness for a couple reasons. First, the field has a limit of 256 characters, which means when a bibliographic record shows more than 15 or 16 OCLC numbers have been merged, some numbers are excluded. Second, and more importantly, each individual control number cannot be matched to other cancelled or active control numbers in other records without being split to a separate field first.   3. Add ability to see which patron is currently viewing a digital book- A functionality for CDL

    As a reference librarian, I would like to 1) see which patron is currently viewing a digital book on the Waiting List tab within the digital representation and 2) have the ability to manage that patron’s session.

    Presently, I have the ability to see who is next in line on the patron waitlist, but I can't tell who has the book out now.

    From the patron standpoint, they might simply X out of Primo VE, thinking they have finished the book, but it is still out in their name.

  4. Add Close Caption file information to Alma Analytics

    We need to report on the status of our digital collection, including which videos are close captioned. This data is not available in Alma Analytics. How hard would it be to add this to the "Digital Inventory" table?

  5. Alma Digital Support for an auto-captioning service

    Many video streaming services now have an auto-captioning service, .i.e., Youtube, where captions are auto-generated for video content. Since we are legislated to caption our video content, Alma Digital could include this feature and save us months of work.

  6. Request instead of Interested User

    For Alma, request and interested user are two different things. This is not easy for us to work with. In bigger libraries, staff members have access either request nor interested user, so it is difficult to check request/interested user for our users.
    I wish, you replace interested user by request in the PO Line.

  7. Add preferred pronouns field to contact people tab information in vendor

    In the 'Contact people' tab of a vendor record, there is currently no option to add the preferred pronouns of an individual. There are preferred name and gender options but no where to record the pronouns they prefer.

    vendor interface > Contact people > Add contact > Contact details.

  8. Have Alma/Primo support the ability to account for coverage dates in physical inventory.

    Currently we have a display logic rule in place for articles - so if the item is available in our institution we do not provide a Resource Sharing option for the patron. So - if we do have the item - but not the complete item - (all the dates available) - we need to have the Resource Sharing option available for that patron. The display logic rule doesn't consider coverage dates for the display.   9. Deliver Digital Documents: add notes

    We would like to add notes to the quick flow “Fulfillment > Deliver Digital Documents” (as is possible via the longer workflow of “Scan In > Manage In Process Items”). This way, we can swiftly deliver digital documents - regardless of file size - with a note to the patron. At this moment, for a note to be delivered to the end user, we need to take the more extensive route through “Manage In Process Items”.   10. API versioning (especially user API)

    API updates should be rolled out with an opt-in and out option. So that developers can test and adopt new versions and roll back if problems occur. Currently we just get a new version and if this new version breaks any of our custom integrations. We have no way to compare to old behaviour or opt out of the update until we can fix this.

  11. Alma Digital - Collection, Access rights and Representations

    Hello,

    There are a few features that are missing from Alma Digital that we would be happy if they were added:

    1.
    Add the ability to search in the "Title list" of a Digital Collection according to MMS ID, Representation ID and author.
    2.
    Add the ability to make some of the fields "Required". For example, we would like the "Access Rights" to be a required field.

    Add the ability to move a file from one representation to another (just as you can change the holdings of an item).

  13. Provide better bib relinking functions

    Provide better relinking functions. For example, when I need to move all the items (with multiple holdings) to another record, I need to transfer one holdings record at a time. It would be nice to be able to select the holdings records we want to move and relink them one time.   14. Collect statistics about CZ Authorities records

    We are looking for a way to collect statistics of GND authority records created by our Institution via Alma in the Community Zone.
    This could be done via Analytics (for exemple by adding an CZ Authorities subject area) or another reporting tool.
    Among other things, we would like to know which user has created or modified an authority record in the CZ.

  15. Enable Data Flows in Oracle Data Visualization

    As someone who creates data sets and data visualizations from Analytics for other library staff, it would be useful to have Data Flow enabled in Oracle's Data Analytics. This would save me time by creating a pre-determined set of steps to create and edit data sets, and to create joins between subject areas within the Data Visualization tool.

  16. Have searchable Notes fields in vendor records

    It would be great if the data in the Notes tab of vendors records could be searchable - possibly as an Advanced Vendor search, or as part of a keyword search, or even within Analytics. Some data from Voyager's 'alternative vendor name' field has been migrated into the notes and it would be useful to be able to search on this.

  18. Ability to edit request priorities

    We would like the ability to edit, i.e. rename or translate, the names of the request priorities in the Manual priority drop-down menu in the request queue. It is not entirely obvious which to choose, and we would like to be able to eg. number them from 1. to 8. It was suggested to us by Ex Libris support that we promote this question through Idea Exchange.

  19. Configure the User Services page to include statistical information

    On the User Services page, when we are looking at a user's data, we can see the Notes and some other basic data. It would be interesting to be able to choose which of the user data we want to see here. Specifically, we are interested in including statistical data.

  20. Require a better fines and fees summary report

    Would like to see an actual report that summarizes the days transactions by transaction type (one line each for fines, lost payments, processing fees, etc., inlcuding the total number of transactions and amounts) in one section and then a summary of transactions by payment method (# of transactions and the total), with a line for the grand total. An itemized list of transactions would not be required as staff generally just need the totals to balance at the end of the day/shift.
