  1. Reloading several records from the union catalog at once

    I would like to update several records from the union catalog at once, for example all the records within an itemized set. So far, this is only possible for individual records in the MDE ("Reload record from central catalog"), which is rather exhausting. It would be much easier if there was a button saying "reload records" by which you can push all checked items to the MDE and simultaneously reload the records from central catalog.

    In this way, we could easily and quickly update bibliographic records from the "Failed to update delete" event in Analytics. Another use case would be…

  2. Add/remove public notes for electronic collection notes in bulk

    If there are known access issues with one specific provider, it would be useful to add / remove a note to all electronic collections, which an institution may have for this provider / interface at once. At present, we have to edit all collections for providers individually if we want to add the same public note for all.

  3. Improve the Alma Link Resolver display logic to include conditions and thresholds (as they are available in SFX)

    I would like to see the Alma link resolver have the same configuration options as the SFX link resolver.
    The SFX link resolver offers the following conditions:
    - sametarget
    - threshold
    - no
    timediffwarning
    - same
    threshold

  4. Rapido – Popup warning when local/consortium copy exists

    We have more than 4 millions documents in our consortia, and a Rapido service. Sometimes patrons order a document via Rapido while this document is available locally. This can be choice or an error. To avoid errors, Rapido should display a configurable popup whenever a patron submits a Rapido request for an item that is available in our consortium. The popup would warn the user that a free local loan exists and ask for explicit confirmation before sending a paid ILL request, for example: “One or more copies are available from your library network for free loan.   5. Automatically Associate Certain Payment Methods (e.g., Credit, JV, Deposit) with Prepaid Functionality when Creating Invoices

    We would like the ability to automatically associate certain Payment Methods (Credit Card, JV (Correction), Deposit Account, etc.) with Prepaid functionality when creating Invoices. 1) This would save time. 2) Most institutions do not want certain payment methods going to their ERP, but occasionally forget to check the Prepaid box. Setting this up systematically would serve as a fail-safe for such situations.

  6. Set standard opening hours in advance

    If the Library decides to change the standard opening hours of the Library for the coming year you currently have to wait until the first day of new hours to be able to input them as standard hours into Alma.

    It would be nice if Alma allowed you to enter new standard opening hours in advance and to set a date in which they would come into effect. That way you wouldn't have to schedule to change them on the first day of the new hours.

    An example would be if new standard hours were decided on by Library Management…

  7. Automatically add new user statistical categories as they are imported via the SIS integration

    As a system administrator I want any new statistical category codes used in the student file import to be added to the table as they appear in the file. Voyager previously added the code and then a system administrator could add the description to match.

  8. Direct to source Test Access button

    When you click on the "test access" button or link in drop down menu Alma takes you directly to the e-book/e-journal rather than going splash screen of portfolio resources that directly link to the e-book/e-journal

    or

    Add a button or link that directly goes out to the e-book/e-journal/database on the web skipping the splash window (see attached screen shot. Opening in a new browser windows without taking you away from the Alma browser window you are working on

  9. Subscription dates range on Invoice line

    When we double-check invoices for the correctness of the keyed-in invoice information, we also double-check the subscription period for which we pay. If Subscription dates
    range displays in a column on the Invoice Lines tab, we don't have to enter the invoice line details to double-check the dates.

  10. Overdues

    An alert function when items have gone overdue. Currently the requester will get sent overdue e-mails, but the library is not notified. When you have thousands of requests it is imposisble to search through.

  11. Hold active until (collection) date

    currently the time a requested book is held for a borrower does not show unless you go into the Active holds lists. It would be helpful if this was shown when the book is checked in and on the notice that automatically goes to the printer (which we put in the book until the book is collected)

  12. Configure paired libraries to have own Discovery Widget in Alma

    We have two libraries and would like to have the Discovery Widget visible on Alma's initial page based on own libraries collection. When I go to Configuration Menu > Discovery > Display Configuration > Configure Views, 2 libraries are listed. If I select my own library, my own library discovery widget becomes the default to both libraries. We'd like each library to have their corresponding collection on the Discovery Widget.

  13. Electronic Coverage Dates should be in a date format and be available in Analytics as such

    Currently, electronic coverage dates are considered as strings and not as Dates. We request to treat them like dates and add them to Analytics, in order to base reports on these dates.

  14. Include Item Description in the ASRS Remote Storage Update Job

    When an item is added into the ASRS, Alma's Inventory Remote Storage Update Job sends the following item record fields to our Dematic EMS system:

    • Item barcode
    • Call number
    • Author
    • Title

    This is described in the Developer's Network documentation here: https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/alma/integrations/remote_storage/asrs/

    We would like to have the item description field added in addition to the call number since it holds the volume and other essential enumeration information.

    Not having the volume and enumeration information in our Dematic system makes it extremely difficult to inventory a journal series, or locate an individual volume in the Dematic/EMS software.

  15. Option to configure interested user notification for ebooks to be sent when activation task changed to Done rather than when Activated

    We would like the ability to configure when our interested user notifications are sent for ebooks. We would like the option to send these when the activation task is changed to Done in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List instead of when the ebooks are activated. This would give us the opportunity to check the ebook portfolio links and bibliographic records for our Rialto purchased ebooks before the notifications are sent to the interested users.

  17. Scan item barcode in Manage Patron Services

    When using "Fulfillment -> Manage Patron Services" to view a user's account, the "Submit Request" button presumably could be used to put a hold request on an item for that user, but the only search index that this method allows is "All Titles". You can search for a title, and you can use the hamburger menu button to open up other options like MMS ID, ISBN, etc., but even this and the further embedded Advanced search only uses "All Titles". This means that you can't scan an item's barcode and put a request on that item using the "Physical Titles"…

  18. Add the Additional Information field to Invoice Lines screen

    When viewing Invoice Lines within a Purchase Order it is possible to add the Additional Information field from the Invoice Line as a column to this screen.

    However, when viewing Invoice Lines from within an Invoice it is NOT possible to add the Additional Information field from the Invoice Line as a column to this screen.

    We would like it to be possible to add the Additional Information field Invoice Lines screen within an Invoice so that there is consistency between Invoice Lines tab on a Purchase Order and the Invoices Lines tab on an Invoice

  19. Monitor Requests Workbench: export

    When exporting (digitization) requests via the Monitor Request Workbench, we would like an overview containing also the specific request info (chapter title, pages...). The latter info can now only be obtained by manually clicking on "Edit" per request and this is only possible for active requests. For multiple digitization requests on 1 item, it is useful have all desired pages/titles exported in one overview for swift handling. Also for completed requests, it is valuable information to have all requested pages/titles in one overview.

    Desired export:
    - request ID + request info
    - all requests (not only active)

  20. User Record Templates

    It would be great if the library could create "templates" for different types of user records that automatically fill in things like the User Group and that have different required fields depending on the type of template. This would make it easier for staff to create user records on the spot.
