Receiving Note - Ability to see when the note was last modified and by who
It would be great if there was a way to see which operator added Receiving Note and when the note was added. We are trying to go through and update receiving notes, and are coming across some that we would like to get answers for. However, we aren't sure who placed the note in the first place and it could have been years ago.
Being able to see who modified the receiving note last and when it was created would allow us to follow-up with the appropriate people or realize they no longer work with us, and move forward on making decisions. Thanks!

Letter for purchase requests initially approved and finally canceled
Sometimes it happens that a user's purchase request is initially approved by the acquisitions staff and sent to the vendor, but sometimes it ends up being canceled for some reason.
Prior to this cancellation, when this request is sent to the provider, the POL generated in Alma remains in "sent" status. Prior to this cancellation, when this request is sent to the provider, the POL generated in Alma remains in "sent" status. Then it will be manually canceled.
We request the creation of a letter in which the user is informed of this circumstance. Together with this, we request that a new check be added in the "Interested Users" section of the POL that allows activating the sending of this letter to all interested users of that POL.Sometimes it happens that a user's purchase request is initially approved by the acquisitions staff and sent to the vendor, but sometimes it ends up being canceled for some reason.

Lending requests - requests shipped as physical non-returnable should automatically get status Request Completed
Now when there is an lending request in Alma and we choose the option "Ship non-returnable" then such request gets a status "Shipped physically". We suggest that such request should automatically get status "Request Completed" because it was shipped and such request is completed according to our workflow.

Add Statistics note 1-3 to portfolio Note tab
The portfolio currently doesn't have enough note fields, especially for Statistics and one has to be very creative, combining reports, in order to retrieve something of value to report on.
We make extensive use of our Statistics note 1-3 fields in the Statistics Notes section of the item record's Notes tab and use Analytics to harvest the data entered in each of these note fields for various reports required for operational and management purposes. In the same way, the portfolio record's Notes tab can benefit from a Statistics Notes section with Statistics Note 1-3 fields. These notes must be harvestable in Analytics and via the Alma Advanced Search also.

Borrowing requests: comment (from Primo) should not be transferred to request note field but to the Note field
The content of the comment (from Primo) was transferred to the "Request Note" field (=Request Attributes).
We didn't want that to happen.
The content should go into the "Note" field (=Resource Information).0 votes -

Configure the User Services page to include statistical information
On the User Services page, when we are looking at a user's data, we can see the Notes and some other basic data. It would be interesting to be able to choose which of the user data we want to see here. Specifically, we are interested in including statistical data.

Use the same terminology in the search box as the field label - Analytics objects list
In the new Analytics objects list, one of the search field options is "location". It is searching the field labeled "Subject Areas".
Please use consistent terminology.

Allow the existing configuration of the user form to apply also on the "Vendors > Contact People tab > Add Contact" page
This idea was opened by Ex Libris to see how the community supports it.
There is an existing configuration for the user form which was added in August 2022: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2022/Alma_2022_Release_Notes#Configure_the_User_Form
Please have this configuration apply also when creating a new vendor "Contact" (Vendors > Contact People tab > Add Contact).
For example, if an institution selected that some fields should not appear in the user creation form, these field should also not appear in the vendor contact creation form.

Add manual Cost to Portfolios
Add the ability to assign a cost to a portfolio manually in the case that cost should not be equally distributed for the portfolios in a collection and/or items that were purchased prior to Alma implementation. This cost would need to be used in Cost per use analytics calculations if there isn't a PO Cost for the portfolio

Batch Clear Local Information from Community Zone
Sometimes local information is added to a portfolio because the community zone updates are still pending. It would be helpful to have the option to clear the local coverage info as a batch process from the Community Zone Updates Task List

Alma Digital Viewer - Enable/Disable "New Alma Viewer" for representations
Right now, you can only set rules for when a certain viewer (i.e. Alma Viewer and Universal Viewer) is displayed/not displayed. Specifically in our case, we have unchecked the "Use New Viewer" feature make things cleaner in our interface. However, overtime, another department may begin to use Alma Digital and may want to turn that feature back on (which is better suited for their resources).
For instance, if we begin to upload image files or digitized newspaper clippings, the New Viewer would work great -- but for other general content, it's not always the best option. It would be great if there was an option to enable/disable the use of the New Viewer for individual records/representations.

Add a new privilege to the "Purchasing Operator" role which will prevent users with this role from being able to delete items
This Idea was submitted by ExLibris to check the community support for the following enhancemnet:
Currently, users with "Purchasing Operator" role can delete items, the existing logic behind this is, when a PO line is created (even before it is received), there is a need for the Purchasing Operator to be able to delete the item in case of an error on the order. This Idea suggest to add a new privilege to the Purchasing Operator role which will prevent this user from being able to delete items - the new privilege should be enabled by default to maintain existing functionality for all customers and, for institutions who will desire to, they can contact ExLibris support and ask to disable the new privilege and by that remove the user's option to delete items

Physical PO line creation - allow the interested user defined on the PO line to place a title level request when the PO line is created
This idea was submitted by Ex Libris to evaluate the need for the enhancement specified below:
Today, when a physical PO line has an interested uset, a hold request is not created on the bibliographic title until the book is scanned in at a circulation desk (Item is received).
Customer rely on being able to see all requests on a title from the moment it is purchased. This is because they want both users and staff to be able to see the whole physical request queue from the moment a book is purchased, currently it creates uncertainties about who is in the queue. A user might not be the first in a queue even though there is no other requests on the title. As a workaround, users create the PO line and search for the title to create a title level request, this is a click heavy process. The need is to allow institutions to define a parameter which will create a title level request on the time of the PO line creation with an interested user.

Post collection ID in the CKB update.
In the CKB update, sometimes we found statements like collection ABC is replaced by collection ABC, or with a similar name. Since some CZ collections share the same name or similar name with one another, please add collection ID next to the collections/Databases that are to be removed in the coming weeks. Collection ID is an identifier that would help people to identify the exact collection.

Streamline PO Line Renewals &
For PO lines for subscriptions that will be renewed, currently the funding, date, and cost information fields need to be manually changed for each term of the subscription. It would be helpful to be able to duplicate/indicate the new information for each year/term period and retain the old info for analytics/reporting, calculating increases, etc. If rollover functionality were to be added for the funds(s) and dates based on the term details, that would also be fantastic.

Harvest and add Unique item requests to analytics IR_M1 usage reports
The IR_M1 usage reports come with the metrics: Unique item requests and Total item requests. Currently, Alma only harvests Total item requests, and leave out Unique item requests. So, in Alma analytics, we cannot retrieve the unique item requests statistics, which is more important than Total item requests.

allow a simple method for transferring loans from one patron account to another
Currently in Alma there is no simple way to transfer loans from one user account to another, and yet this may be a regular requirements if customer transfer from one course to another, Undergraduate to Postgraduate etc. It would be very helpful to staff if a single function existed to allow the transfer of loans from one account to another which could be selected.

Have Alma/Primo support the ability to account for coverage dates in physical inventory.
Currently we have a display logic rule in place for articles - so if the item is available in our institution we do not provide a Resource Sharing option for the patron. So - if we do have the item - but not the complete item - (all the dates available) - we need to have the Resource Sharing option available for that patron. The display logic rule doesn't consider coverage dates for the display. Resource Sharing request is suppressed for any citation, including those that are outside of the date/volume range held by the library, we would like the Display Logic to take into account more than just the journal title/ISSN, but also the specified holding available.
Search Example: High-school students' cognitive responses to counterintuitive physics problems
It comes back with no results but if you "Add results from other sources" - you get one result - but no Resource Sharing option because it doesn't have the vol. or date needed.Physical holdings are matching on record so Availability in the institution is “true” even though the particular volume is not owned by institution.
Results in false positive for patron. Have item but not the volume that they are looking for.
