Funds and Ledgers: Encumbered balance: Linked orders: limiting to POL with outstanding charges
In the “Funds and Ledgers” section, the overview for each allocated fund shows, among other things, the amount of the expendede and the amount of the encumbered balance
If you follow the link “expended balance,” the orders with currently paid invoices are then listed. Very good.If you follow the link “encumbered balance,” all orders are then listed—including those with invoices already paid in the respective year.
This is apparently the behavior desired by ExLibris:

However, this is very confusing for us, because when working quickly, we compile the list as an Excel file and may not notice that…1 vote -

Allow 2 e-mail addresses to be in use for patrons who needs this. We have patrons that goes from being employee to private individual. Their e-mail as an employee stops working and they reciev no information about loans and so on. This would help a lot

Update Customer Linking Parameters in Bulk via E-Collection Quick Update Cloud App
Please add the ability to update customer linking parameters (such as the Gale location ID) in bulk via the E-Collection Quick Update Cloud App.
As Ex Libris moves away from centrally configuring linking parameters for different interfaces, it would save so much time to be able to do this in bulk via the cloud app.

Vendors management
"The process that sends purchase requests to vendors sometimes does not work correctly.
The error is only detected when the vendor notifies you that they have not received the purchase request.
To check the error, you must go to the Job (scheduled task).
Shouldn't there be a way in Alma to report these failures more visibly?"

Hide Resource Sharing request button from all Primo records in a particular Primo View/Alma Campus
We wish to hide the Resource Sharing request button from appearing on all Primo records when viewed by a particular Primo view/Alma Campus.
We can currently set Discovery Interface Display Logic to "Hide service Resource Sharing Request" at the Institution level - which achieves what we want, but unfortunately blocks Resource Sharing requests on all of our Alma Campuses/Primo Views.
We would like to be able to configure the Discovery Interface Display Logic to "Hide service Resource Sharing Request" at the Campus Rules level, and thus achieve the above goal.

Resource sharing Rapido - matching process on 035 to allow for more granularity
When our users place a document delivery request or another library places a borrowing request for one of our items the system can look at System Control Number which includes OCLC number. This is good. If user has an OCLC it helps to ensure we are pulling the exact right item. But this includes anything in the 035 field. Currently we have the bib numbers from our previous system in the 035 which is standard practice. The system is matching on this number. This causes confusion and delays with requests. It would be helpful to be able to configure it…

Reloading several records from the union catalog at once
I would like to update several records from the union catalog at once, for example all the records within an itemized set. So far, this is only possible for individual records in the MDE ("Reload record from central catalog"), which is rather exhausting. It would be much easier if there was a button saying "reload records" by which you can push all checked items to the MDE and simultaneously reload the records from central catalog.
In this way, we could easily and quickly update bibliographic records from the "Failed to update delete" event in Analytics. Another use case would be…

Add "created by user" and "modified by user" Index in the Alma search
Now that the new relative date search exists in Alma, it would be very helpful to have another index "created by user" and "modified by user" to be able to search for records created or modified by a specific user within a relative date range.
For exemple, a user could be able to review all the records she/he createred the day before in a easy way.3 votes -
Make physical item templates available in receiving workflow
The new physical item templates look super useful. However, the vast majority of our new items are added as part of our receiving workflow, so they do us little good currently. Can the physical item templates be made available as part of the receiving workflow?

Display Suppressed icon in the "Call Number Index"
I would find it very helpful to have the "eye"-symbol displayed in the index for the Call Numbers. It explains why some identical Call Numbers exist. For example one of them might be missing and be replaced by a new copy of the book under the identical call number. If the missing book finds it way back to the libray the eye can be removed and the call number changed if needed.

Add Option to Handle Multi-Matches Automatically Based on Brief Level
Alma’s import profile functionality currently includes the option "Do not override/merge a record with lower brief version", which ensures that an incoming record is not loaded if its brief level is lower than that of the matched record in Alma.
We would like to see this functionality extended to enable handling multi-matches automatically. Currently, when an incoming record matches multiple existing records in Alma, the import process still flags this as an multi-match issue, even if all matched records in Alma have a higher brief level than the incoming record. These cases must then be reviewed and resolved manually by…

Display “Service unavailability display message” at Collection Level in Primo
Currently, the “Service unavailability display message” is only shown at the Journal and article level in Primo. It would be highly beneficial to extend this functionality to the collection level as well. This enhancement would provide users with clearer information about service availability, improving their overall experience and reducing confusion when accessing collections.

Improvements for the MDEs left pane
The left pane in the MDE is a very helpful tool for navigation in daily business. With the following improvements it could be even more helpful:
- Customization of the display of the different databases in all the tabs (records/templates/rules): it would be very helpful if one could select only the databases that are necessary for the daily work for display (example: I have in the record tab 14 different databases of which I only need 4, and one that I need is only accessible through the drop down menu); if a selection is not possible it would be helpful…80 votes -

Ability to add an accessibility note at the electronic collection level
Because some MARC bibliographic records may be attached to e-portfolios in multiple e-collections, adding a 532 in the MARC record may not apply to all e-portfolios. Many e-collection providers will include accessibility information on their site. Perhaps an accessibility note could be added at the e-collection level separate from the Authentication and Public notes.

Ex Libris completes required documentation (SAQ-D) for Alma-integration with credit card payment systems
As an Access Services Department Head, I supervise workflows that include payment by credit card. We would very much like to connect Alma to our university approved payment system, but our Division of IT advises that even platforms that redirect to or from pages where credit card information is entered must be PCI (payment card industry) compliant. To meet this requirement, Ex Libris must complete a Self Assessment Questionnaire D (SAQ-D) and Attestation of Compliance for Merchants (https://listings.pcisecuritystandards.org/documents/SAQ_D_v3_Merchant.pdf). Until we have this documentation in hand, we cannot link directly from Alma to our payment system, worsening the user…

Improve batch Connexion export process
Currently, exporting records in batch from Connexion results in a status report for each individual record as it processes. Each status window must be closed before the next record can be processed. See screenshot for example. This becomes very tedious when working with hundreds of records. A configuration that permits Connexion to export in true batch form with a status report appearing after either the complete job or a set number of records (10 or more) would be preferable.

Automatically waive fees when redating
Sometimes we can only deduct returned books from the user's account a few days later, e.g. if books are returned by mail. If fees have already been incurred, these must be waived manually. It would be nice if the fees were automatically waived when backdating the return date, so that we wouldn't have to calculate whether fees need to be waived or not.
