  1. Enhance Support for Non-University Libraries

    Issue: Alma is heavily focused on academic libraries and electronic resources, making it less suitable for cultural institutions or libraries managing physical, archival, or unique materials.
    Improvement:
    Develop specialized modules for archival and special collections, including better support for preservation treatments, valuation, and non-MARC metadata (e.g., Dublin Core).
    Create configurable workflows for physical resource management that are less acquisition-centric, addressing the needs of state or special libraries.

  2. Adding bib- and item-level information like "MMS ID" and "Barcode" to a patron's "Requests"

    When using "Fulfillment -> Manage Patron Services" to view a user's account, the "Requests" tab shows a patron's current requests, but these lack identifying and linked information beyond the title. Being able to view and click on a link to the MMS ID of the record that the request is for would be helpful since a library may have multiple records with the same title; in addition, item-level information like possible Barcodes for items that would fulfill the request would be helpful in visually confirming that a particular item in hand matches a patron’s request.

  3. Allow the use of both Fixed and Non-fixed values when setting due date policy

    Faculty at our institution are allowed to check out materials until the end of summer. They are also used to renewing their materials before the end of summer so they are extended to the end of next summer. Currently the recurrence of End of Summer will change the End of Summer date to the same date next year is the same time that faculty materials are due. They cannot renew them before the current End of Summer.

    I propose the ability in Advanced Policies to set due dates based on how many days before or after a certain event.

  4. Enhanced Export Physical items CSV, TSB, XLSX

    We use the physical items export procedure at regular intervals in the form of a CSV file (comma-separated text file). Official documentation :

    The CSV file is inconsistent: fields are sometimes surrounded by quotation marks, sometimes by French quotation marks (guillemets), sometimes by quotation marks and French quotation marks (guillemets), and sometimes by nothing at all. This causes problems for some of the analysis programs we use in post-processing.

    We would like to see one improvement:
    -A compliant CSV file: quotation marks systematically surrounding each field.

  5. More options for configure the UI for Manage Patron services

    The Left Pane of The new Manage Patron services UI includes User Information.
    The display of information in this section is configurable from Configuration > Fulfillment > Patron Configurations > Patron Services User Card Fields.

    It would be great help for us if certain fields would also be among these.
    Field: Primary ID and Field: Identifyer (Identifyer type barcode)

    Specially Primary ID should be able to hide for many places.

  6. Primo Discovery facet limit

    In the discovery Primo, it would be helpful if the "discoveryfacetlimit" could be configured to allow more than 50 results. We are a library system of 175 libraries, and the Library Filter sometimes doesn't display all of them due to this limit.

  7. Possible to build a workflow into Alma to accomodate third party WCAG compliance?

    UK Libraries are monitoring this as individual institutions - could Alma build a workflow to flag electronic resources that meet / are working towards WCAG compliance? If details are stored (Yes/No) and links to URL compliance statements users could then use Analytics to report on progress and perform annual updates with suppliers to meet our responsibilities.   8. Option to expand "sliding panel" when making an order or viewing order information.

    In the interface that is slated to become standard on August 10, 2025, order information for a title is displayed on a sliding panel that has no option to expand to the entire screen. In this format, the order information that you are seeking takes up a smaller amount of the screen, visually unbalancing the screen and changing focus to one side, while leaving a darkened portion of the search screen visual that adds no helpful information.   9. Batch modification of fulfillment unit service information

    We need to update some or all of our location fulfillment Unit of all of our library.
    Unfortunately, the Update Location API does not support bulk updates for multiple locations in a single request. Each API call is limited to a single location code.
    We'd like to be able to make batch changes to our libraries' reader service units.

  11. Option for support from within EU for EU customers

    There should be an option for Alma customers within the EU to allow access opportunities for Ex Libris staff in the EU only. The purpose is to increase the compliance with GDPR by
    limiting access to data by US intelligence authorities as far as possible.

  12. upload a new work from Alma to Primo

    When we approve and upload a new work from Alma to the system, it takes approximately 15 minutes for it to appear in Primo.
    This delay poses a significant challenge for us, as we are unable to immediately verify that the work was successfully uploaded and displayed as expected.

    We would appreciate it if you could look into this issue and let us know whether there is a way to streamline the synchronization process so that the display in Primo is more immediate or at least significantly faster.

  13. Allow Patrons to Request Items in Work Orders

    Currently, all work orders automatically make all items in that work order unavailable to patrons in the catalog. Some work orders may be for workflows or processes that can allow for items to be requested and pulled for users.

    If, during the setup and configuration, work orders have the option of "allowing patron requests" or "do not allow patron requests" (similarly to how recall notices are an option), then some work orders can allow for patrons to request items so they can be pulled and delivered, based on the work order type.

  14. adding titles from community zone to institution zone collection without having to activate community zone collection

    When finding another portfolio that is not in you collection you can today activate and move the portfolio to you IZ collection. Then you have to remember to delete the collection where it was in the first place. Make it possible to add it directly in to your IZ

  15. Convert digitization request to purchase request

    I would like to convert a request from a scanning request to a purchasing request, particularly when the permissions cost is high. I am not sure if this is a Alma or Rialto workflow, but it would be nice to do a "search in Market" to find out price and auto-reject the way we can do in Rapido. Additionally, we would like 'Pay-per-use" functionality from Alma digitization requests.

  17. Allow widgets to be resized to larger proportions on the Welcome screen

    The widgets on the Welcome screen are incredibly helpful for viewing statistics like Lending Fill Rate and Borrowing Requests, but I'd access this information faster if the widget's container was larger and I didn't need to use the scroll bar or click "Open in a new window". There's already a 3-by-3 bento grid for these widgets, so it'd be nice to explore the possibility of scaling the widgets according to that same grid.

  18. Visibility of additional page range for citation records in Alma

    The recent update to Alma allowing the addition of multiple page ranges has been very helpful—thank you for that.
    However, I’ve noticed that in the Alma citation record preview, only the first page range is displayed. This can be a bit misleading when we’re monitoring citations, as it doesn’t reflect the full set of page ranges entered. However, the full page range is visible in the Leganto record.
    Would it be possible to implement a similar preview that exists in Leganto, in the Alma citation record, that shows all the entered page ranges?

  19. Printed history of invoice IN PDF FORMAT as proof of approval - for audits

    Printed history of an invoice is accepted as an official approval for audits.
    History output can be downloaded only in excel now, which can be overwritten manually in excel, that does not support the audit reason.
    My request is that history of an invoice should be downloaded in pdf format too which should be unchangeable.
