    It would be helpful to add a "Held Until:" column on the "Scan In Items" page. This would assist our teams when they are processing requests.

  2. Enable requests of multiple items of the same BIB-record

    In Alma, it is generally not possible to request multiple copies of the same record. This possibility only exists if items are differentiated by the item description.

    When it comes to special collections, patrons regularly want to compare multiple copies, which may differ. Such differences have generally not been recorded (hence no item description), which is exactly why people want to compare them. For collections in closed stacks, requesting from the catalog is the only way to obtain an item. However, we can currently not offer the option of requesting more than one copy to our patrons.   3. Add fields to specifiy the work order type or workorder status to the print slip for 'manage in process items'

    The print slip for items in the Fulfillment > Manage in process items uses the ReceivingSlipLetter.

    This is the workflow suggested by trainers for things like repairs or other technical work order flows.
    The letter does not have the XML fields that would reflect work order type or work order status.

    Development says this is an enhancement request, as they designed this letter for acquisitions work orders (case 00725539)

  4. Hide non-circulating library from 'pickup location' options for all requests as desired

    Example 1: We had an issue where a staff member had chosen an incorrect library for the pickup location for move requests (when putting items on Course Reserves). The library they chose was our Resource Sharing Library (which we don't use at all and so is irrelevant to us in every way). I submitted a case to Support asking if we could somehow hide this library from view in the pickup location options in Alma, but was told that this wasn't possible.

  5. More Options for the "Pick Up Requested Resources" Window

    It would be great to have even mor configuration options for the pick up requested resources window. (See picture below)
    For example wenn picking up SIA norms, we would like to see such fields like the series number field (field 830) so we don't have to search on in the shelve for the exact norm.

  6. Display resource sharing request limit on user record

    When a resource sharing limit is set, display the current number of requests a user has placed in the last academic year. We have users getting failed requests due to hitting the limit, this would make it much easier to troubleshoot.

  7. Send borrowers an email when they place a request

    It would be good if, when someone places a request on Primo, they could be sent an email receipt to confirm what they have requested. (This is an idea for both Alma and Primo, as I assume the email would be sent from Alma).

    Not only would it be useful for users to have confirmation (a lot of webforms will send users a copy of their completed form, so people half-expect one from Primo/Alma), but it would allow libraries to include important messaging.

  8. Block the patron (several days) if they do not pick up a physical item that was requested and that they have reserved on the hold-shelf

  9. add modification date to "Monitor Requests & Item Processes"

    It would be helpful to have the modification date, not just the request date as filter on the "Monitor Requests & Item Processes" page. Now it's almost not possible to find items which are e.g. stuck in hold shelf processing.
    The request date does not allow to filter for items/requests which have been processed recently.

  10. Store information about request history

    It is currently not possible to see whether an item has previously been requested, only that it's checked out. I want (often) to be able to tell: how many times throughout the history of this item has it been requested and in what way (page from shelf, recall, something else). It's super weird to me that this isn't present in the fulfillment history at least, and probably in analytics.

  11. More default fields for digitization requests

    Please add three fields to the default fulfillment request pick slips: 1) the unique Request ID number associated with each fulfillment request, 2) a scannable barcode for the Request ID number, and 3) All possible notes/comments fields that patrons might use to submit information about digitization requests. (Sometimes the article/chapter information prints on the pick slip, and sometimes it doesn't). Thanks.

  13. View pick-up location in Requests tab of Manage Patron Services

    It would be helpful if pick-up location was displayed on the Requests tab under Manage Patron Services. Currently, in order to view pick-up location when helping users at the desk, staff need to click '...' and 'Edit' in order to view that part of the request.

    Attached is a photo of the current interface where staff would like to see pick-up location as an optional column display.

  14. Prevent sending cancellation letters to Partners when a patron cancels a Resource Sharing request via Primo

    Alma sends a cancellation message of a Resource Sharing borrowing request to a partner when a requester cancels this request in Primo. (Notifying a campus library to which a requester is assigned about a request cancellation is fine, but external partners should not be informed.)

    There should be an option in Alma to prevent patrons' cancellation requests being sent to external partners, as this is currently not possible:

  15. Have "Status" of a resource sharing request be separate from the "External ID"

    In Alma under User information > Manage fulfillment activities > Requests > Resource Sharing Requests, the "Status" and "External ID" is in the same field. We request that the status of an item be in a separate column from the external ID.

    Doing this will:
    * Avoid confusion as to what is the status vs what is the external ID
    * Make copying the External ID easier without having to remove the status information

  16. Option to add user details to Pick from Shelf & in export list

    For institutions that manage requests differently depending on User Group or other values in the user record, it would be useful to have this info displayed with the rest of the request data in a pick from shelf list. Alternatively it would be useful to have this data in the export list so that staff managing these requests have this additional data to hand.

  17. Confirmation Notice for Curbside Bookings

    Alma has allowed for the Booking Request feature to be set-up and modified as a means to provide curbisde service or make appointments. However, it appears that no letter exists to confirm the appointment day/time with the user, which would be most helpful in providing user instructions, cancellation information, contact numbers, etc. I propose that this letter be added to enhance communication and expectations especially during this challenging time of changing services and delivery options.   18. Option to Return Items Without Filling Patron Requests

    Items checked in that have patron requests on them are automatically placed on hold shelf and the patron is immediately emailed. Currently Ex Libris allows a delay for the notice for a maximum of 999 minutes, which is often not long enough. Sometimes materials come back that need repair, updates, or to be quarantined. This can take varying amounts of time. It would be ideal if the system would allow us to have the option to check materials in without triggering the hold process, so we may complete any necessary steps we need to before an email is triggered to…

  19. Item barcodes on Pick from Shelf List

    We would like to be able to include item barcodes as a field on both the Pick from Shelf and the Print Slip reports. Since holds are placed on a specific item in almost all cases, it makes sense to be able to confirm you are retrieving the correct copy from the shelf. Many of our locations work in a way that requires them to search for specific items rather than simply by title or call number and having barcodes associated with holds would also make this work easier

  20. Digitization Slips to automatically print

    We would like for the digitization slips to automatically print upon scan in of an item (like the slips print for Hold requests).

    At the moment it can be manually printed but we would like an opt in to automatically print.

    Our workflow is:

    Item placed on pick list, collected from shelf.
    Item Scan In
    If a hold, slip printed
    If a digitization, no slip, even if automatic print is ticked yes.

    As we have a number of sections within the library using the workflow, it is easier to print the slip and have all details on it rather than…
