Make Linking Levels in Service Record more general
The Linking Level in the service record is a hierarchy clearly designed for journals. Books are thrown in as an afterthought, and there is no room for streaming media. The hierarchy would be improved by making it independent of media type. Change the linking levels in the following way:
Change "Article" to "Article/Chapter"
Change "Article DOI" to "Article/Chapter DOI"
Change "Issue" to "Issue/Part"
Leave "Volume" the same
Combine "Journal" and "Book" into "Work (Journal/Book/Media)"
Change "Database" to "Database/Collection"
Leave "Citation" the sameThis would accommodate collections which contain streaming media, and collections which contain more than one format, such as…

Filter Community Zone Updates Task List by library associated with the Electronic Collection
We would like the Community Zone Updates Task List to include another column for the library associated with the Electronic Collection so that this field could be filtered on (and staff in individual libraries can look at only their tasks instead of the entire institution's).

Display View-Only option for e-collections in NZ tab
It would help to be able to view the information about the e-collection in the NZ tab. Currently libraries can only see the portfolios included in the e-collection but they are unable to see information about the e-collection. It would help to be able to see the acquisitions data attached to the e-collection, including a link to the license.

Better distinguish between local portfolios and CZ portfolios in the portfolios list
When you are working in the portfolios list from the electronic service editor in an activated electronic collection and choose to add portfolios from the Community Zone, the list displays the local house icon for active portfolios and no icon for the inactive ones. However, from the electronic service editor portfolios list, active portfolios display with the CZ (double person) icon. Any local portfolios that you have added beyond the CZ collection display with the local house icon. I understand how it makes sense in different contexts, but it may be useful to have an icon that distinguishes between the…

"Indicators to skip" should apply to single portfolio records
When importing electronic portfolios through repository import there is an option to specify a MARC-field containing the URL to the resource. When configured, Alma extracts the URL from the first occurrence of that field, which might or might not be the desired full text URL.
Next to this option is another option, "Indicators to skip", that looks like it could be used to specify further which occurrences of the field to ignore and which to use for the URL extraction, but this option is only taken in consideration for "multiple portfolios" imports.
As the probably most likely source for an…

Updating Community Zone records in batch
When there are obvious deficiencies in Community Zone records it would be good if we were able to update them in batch using a user-defined manual job. This is currently not possible see SF 681264

Set Access Type flag for portfolios in Import Profile
In a portfolio, we can now set Access Type to Current, Perpetual, or both. It would be very useful to be able to set this flag when importing in batch, with a setting in the Import Profile.

Electronic Collection - Automatically publish as Deleted when a linked Descriptive Record is unlinked
In order to triggering publishing of an Electronic Collection from Alma to Primo, the Electronic Collection must have an Electronic Collection URL and an unsuppressed bibliographic record added as the Linked Descriptive Record.
However, the reverse is not true.
If you unlink a bibliographic record from the Electronic Collection, the outcome does not function as expected to then publish the inventory as Deleted.
The workaround for this undesirable behaviour is to first go to MD Editor, suppress the record, and then remove it as the Linked Descriptive Record from the Electronic Collection.
Ex Libris have described this behaviour as expected…2 votes -
Removing old collection/overlap analysis reports
It would be great if we could remove old collection/overlap analysis reports. There are a couple that we had run by accident or no longer need. we would like to keep this area of Alma neat.

Add Shibboleth to IngentaConnect parsers
Shibboleth is available to sign in to IngentaConnect. Can Shibboleth be added to the IngentaConnect Parser in Alma so that Alma can resolve IngentaConnect URLs with a Shibboleth sign in please?

we would like to export the inactive portfolios from a collection. This is not possible. All portfolios are always exported.

Improve filtering of packages in Community Zone
When checking for a portfolio to import from the Community Zone, there can be large numbers of collections to sift through from the large suppliers. These appear in what I guess is reverse chronological order i.e. newest created first. It takes much scrolling and scrutiny if you don't want the collections that are offered first.
There should be a way either to search for the collection you want, or to filter by collection via a drop down. This would save time and also help prevent selecting the wrong collection and possibly having broken links in the Alma linkresolver1 vote -
Display e-ISBN (MARC 020 $a) in e-portfolio repository search results
Currently the ISBN displayed in e-portfolio repository search results is the print ISBN stored in MARC field 776 $z. Please change to display the e-ISBN stored in MARC field 020 $a, or display both the print ISBN (776 $z) and e-ISBN (020 $a).
The e-portfolio repository search finds the e-books. In a bib record for an e-book, the e-ISBN is stored in 020 $a, while the print version's ISBN is stored in 776 $z. It just does not make sense to display only the print ISBN, but does not display the e-ISBN in the e-portfolio results.
The example records are…

Ensure dynamic urls are not broken when using the new "move portfolios to a different collection" feature
When using the new "move portfolios to a different collection" feature, the list of tasks that the move will perform includes a statement that dynamic urls may be broken and must be checked individually. This makes this feature unuseable except when moving very small numbers of portfolios. Since urls are essentially the most important data element in their portfolios, we need to be able to rely on the system not breaking them when using this feature.
