  2. Ability to edit the full text service for a collection after it's been activated

    We need the ability to edit a collection's Full text service to "Automatically activate new portfolios" after it's already been activated. We had a number of collections that were activated incorrectly during migration but didn't discover that until a year later because it took awhile for meaningful CZ changes to occur where we were finally able to determine whether migrated collections were configured correctly. There is nothing (?) in the collection record to indicate what service was activated. We're not able to change the full text service without reactivating the collection again which creates duplicates and involve too much retrospective…

  3. Adding collection URL to Alma publishing

    When a bibliographic record that describes an aggregator package is published, the URL from the collection level is not included. No portfolios are attached to such records. We would like to be able to export access details from a collection in a publishing job.

  4. Assign to

    In the "Electronic Resource Activation Task List" the list can only be assigned to specific users (or unassigned so everyone can see it), it would be nice to be able to assign it to a group of people, (perhaps by user role profiles, or a new profile type of 'group user' that links other profiles together, like user role profiles) as different tasks fall on different areas of the department.

    This would also be helpful in "Reading Lists Task List", as in our case it is location specific handling of the tasks.

  7. Add filter for presence of POL to electronic collections portfolio lists

    Currently, the only way to determine which portfolios in an electronic collection have an attached POL is to export the portfolio list and check column Z "Orders" in the Excel file. You must then search each portfolio individually to act upon its POL. A filter in the portfolio list for "POL attached" would be much more efficient.

  8. Portfolio fields for streaming video to indicate season or episode/ or public note visible in portfolio list in Alma

    When creating a new portfolio for a streaming video, there is no field where we can enter the information concerning the season and the episodes. We enter this information in the Public notes zone, so it is visible in Primo VE but it is difficult to see it in Alma. Is there a posibility to add a field for this information, r to make the notes field visible in alma? We would like to see this information in the portfolio list See images

  9. Create an Alma collection for YouTube news videos published by Deutsche Welle.

    Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany's international news broadcaster, maintains a large collection of videos on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCknLrEdhRCp1aegoMqRaCZg). One of our librarians has asked us to catalog these so having them available in the community zone would be helpful.

  10. Create an Alma Idea exchange category for License

    There is no category specific for the License area of Alma, which makes it difficult to find other's ideas for License improvements. I had to choose a category for this idea and went with "Resource management - Electronic", and definitely didn't want to go with "other"

    Health Affairs Archive - Please add Collection:

    The journal "Health Affairs" is currently in the collection "Single Journals". The publisher (Project Hope) has recently created an Archive for purchase. It is titled "Health Affairs Archive" and covers content from 1981-2020.

    We need a portfolio for the Archive so we can purchase it, because we already have a subscription order this year on the existing portfolio.

    Please create a Project Hope Collection in the Community Zone that includes two portfolios:

    1. The existing portfolio for Health Affairs currently in the Single Journals collection (CKB ID/CZ MMS ID: 99954921386894)
    2. A new portfolio titled…

  12. When running a Remove local coverage indicated, set Which coverage statement will be applied to "only global"

    When running a Change Electronic Portfolio Information job with "Remove local coverage" indicated, in addition to removing all local coverage information, also set the portfolio's "Which coverage statement will be applied?" field to "Only global."
    Leaving it as one of the local options incorrectly marks the portfolio as having local information if it is listed in the Community Zone Updates Task List.

  14. Add public note for link in record collections

    Give customers the ability to add a public note to link in record collections that displays to the user whenever links from the collection are displayed in Primo.

    Our use case for this is enhancement would be Unpaywall for CDI (Collection ID 61738162240004646). This is database collection with no portfolios that displays a link in record for open access content available from Unpaywall. The problem is the open access version of a publication can sometimes differ from the final published version. However, there is no way to communicate this to the user. Ideally, it would be great if Ex Libris…

  15. Allow appending function to update portfolio Internal description field

    Currently, there is no append option in the Information Update - Change Electronic portfolio information job. Hence, contents of portfolio Internal Description would be overwritten and extra work needed to lookup existing notes in the Internal Description field. If there is the append option, it will be easier to add new notes to the Internal Description without affecting already existed contents.

  16. Add an API access for creating a task in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List

    We would like to set up an automatized workflow to import records and el. inventory into Alma. It would help in the daily management of these imports, if we could create a task for the e-resource staff via the API once the import finishes.

    We would like to have a way to use the API to generate a new task in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List for an electronic collection or an electronic portfolio.

  19. Make it possible to activate a portfolio without making the the whole collection active

    I often find portfolios in other collections that I do not have active. I activate it and then move it to our active collection. The collection it was moved from then is in our alma without active portfolios.

  20. Add Statistics note 1-3 to portfolio Note tab

    The portfolio currently doesn't have enough note fields, especially for Statistics and one has to be very creative, combining reports, in order to retrieve something of value to report on.

    We make extensive use of our Statistics note 1-3 fields in the Statistics Notes section of the item record's Notes tab and use Analytics to harvest the data entered in each of these note fields for various reports required for operational and management purposes. In the same way, the portfolio record's Notes tab can benefit from a Statistics Notes section with Statistics Note 1-3 fields. These notes must be harvestable…
