  1. Add filters and columns to import profiles screens for zone, protocol, scheduling, status

    The Import Profiles screen has few options for narrowing the list of profiles if one isn't certain of the profile name, or if descriptions are too similar. Please add filters and columns to the display screen--preferably sortable columns--for fields that distinguish the zone, scheduling, and status for import profiles.

    Priority 1, Zone: Users should be able to clearly see whether an import profile is using the network zone or the institution zone for an import profile, as this affects the workflow and processing of records being imported.

  2. Treat invoices created from Excel as distinct from manually created invoices for the purpose of creating invoice review rules

    Currently, invoices that are created from Excel spreadsheets are considered to be created manually. We want to be able to create invoice review rules (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/020Acquisitions/040Configuring_Acquisitions/100Configuring_Invoice_Review_Rules) that set invoices created from Excel files to a status of 'in review' and those that are created manually by staff to 'in approval'. In order to do this, we need to be able to distinguish between invoices created manually by staff and those created from Excel files.

  3. Establish system to ensure complete coverage of LC classifications

    Alma Analytics includes LC Classification code data, but frequently valid classification codes come up as "Unknown." Ex Libris currently has no reliable way of keeping up with changes in LC classification. They rely upon the "Library of Congress Classification Outline", which is not complete. They will add classifications upon customer request, though this process takes months or years and puts significant burden upon institutions. Ex Libris should develop a system to reliably update its LC classification coverage.   4. Portfolio loader and Multiple MMS

    When we load portfolios through the Portfolio Loader, Alma attempts to find a match based on the identifier in the Community Zone, in order to get the bibliographic records for the portfolios.
    When there are multiple MMS records in the CZ that match the searched identifiers, you get an error and no portfolio is loaded. Currently, there is no internal logic for the portfolio loader to choose between these records, even if some have no inventory at all.

  5. Add option to batch edit 852 $k and $m in Holdings through the Change Holdings Information Job

    Would love to see the option in the Change Holdings Information Job to be able to apply/remove/change a shared call number prefix or suffix on a set of records. This would greatly improve the efficiency of metadata management for collections of physical items.

  6. Add an API access for creating a task in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List

    We would like to set up an automatized workflow to import records and el. inventory into Alma. It would help in the daily management of these imports, if we could create a task for the e-resource staff via the API once the import finishes.

    We would like to have a way to use the API to generate a new task in the Electronic Resource Activation Task List for an electronic collection or an electronic portfolio.

  8. searching subcollections

    Searching in Primo within a subcollection from Alma Digital does not work. When visiting a subcollection page, and a page with multiple subcollections and using the search bar at the top, you get zero results. There is a message underneath saying, "Didn't find what you were looking for?
    Try searching all collections" which has a hyperlink. Once you click on "try searching all collections", it works.

  9. Add and improve audit logging and system event tracking for changes to Alma configuration

    Many institutions have needs and requirements to be able to track when Alma configurations change, and who changed them.

    This is especially true because many Alma "administrator" roles combine complex librarian tasks with systems configuration abilities. For example, Catalog Administrator or General Systems Administrator is required to create new metadata import profiles - a task that catalogers need to do regularly. But, both roles also grant additional abilities to configure Alma behavior for resource management,
    integrations and the like.

  10. Additional POL type options for purchase requests

    Currently, when creating a POL in response to a Purchase Request, the available POL type options are limited to 'physical book' or 'electronic book'. However, we also receive purchase requests for other resources, such as DVDs, CDs, musical scores, etc.

    We would like to have more PO Line type options to select from when ordering a requested item.

  13. Printed history of invoice IN PDF FORMAT as proof of approval - for audits

    Printed history of an invoice is accepted as an official approval for audits.
    History output can be downloaded only in excel now, which can be overwritten manually in excel, that does not support the audit reason.
    My request is that history of an invoice should be downloaded in pdf format too which should be unchangeable.

  14. Enable API Access to the Community Zone Updates Task List

    Currently, the Community Zone Updates Task List is accessible only through the Alma user interface. While this provides essential functionality for monitoring and acting on updates, it limits the potential for automation and integration with other tools in the library ecosystem. Many institutions use external systems such as workflow automation tools, electronic resource management platforms, and reporting systems that could benefit from direct access to the Community Zone Updates Task List data via API.

  15. Expand "full text"

    Currently "full text" is limited to first 65K characters of an article or of a complete [!] book (along with chapter abstracts only). Thus tweak results to full text is misleading. For articles, entering from google scholar may circumvent the problem partially. For books, true research now requires search full text (possibly not available or only available in snippet view) in google books for finding the required source and pages, then searching the discovery for the book for electronic access, similar to finding a physical book.
    True full text is strongly required.

  16. "Peer review" indication for academic books

    Currently, there is a limiter in discovery to "Peer-reviewed articles" but using this limiter does not bring results from books even by the most celebrated academic publishers. While this information arrives from vendors, it should be a way to search peer-reviewed publications that would exclude magazines but include both peer-reviewed journals and books (or book chpaters) by any academic press.

  17. Add roles to “Use Electronic Inventory Features” in DARA

    Currently, the “Use Electronic Inventory Features” in DARA is available only to users with the “General System Administrator” role.
    We propose making the “Use Electronic Inventory Features” available to users with the “Inventory Operator” role for viewing purposes only, without the ability to configure or run jobs.
    This will allow more users to view important content news, and better understand and manage electronic resources.

  18. Option to remove Alma roles if staff not logged in for X days/months

    Having an option to remove Alma roles if staff not logged in for X days/months will help automate the process of identifying and managing inactive accounts, saving administrative time.

    We have a lot of staff that change job roles within the institution, but end up keeping their Alma roles unless someone tells us they are leaving the library department. Obviously this idea won't fix all the problems, but it would certainly help with reducing the risk of unauthorized access - particularly for any one that has an administrator role

  20. Adjust the Analytics report generation time to include events occurring after 8 PM.

    Currently, the Analytics report is generated around 8 PM Taiwan time, which is earlier than the library's closing time. As a result, events that occur after 8 PM are not included in the statistics for the following day. This prevents the library from obtaining complete statistics for the previous day. If the report generation time could be delayed by at least 2 hours, it would be very helpful for Taiwan users.
