  1. Option for support from within EU for EU customers

    There should be an option for Alma customers within the EU to allow access opportunities for Ex Libris staff in the EU only. The purpose is to increase the compliance with GDPR by
    limiting access to data by US intelligence authorities as far as possible.

  2. Release Remaining Encumbrance and Accrual Accounting do not work together

    Colleagues

    For those of us that use accrual accounting, the inability to release remaining encumbrance causes difficulties in calculating expected expenditure as the fiscal period draws to a close.

    Ex Libris propose a workaround for this limitation (fault), article https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Knowledge_Articles/How_do_I_batch_release_encumbrances_in_Alma%3F.

    I would like to see full functionality within Alma, that enables these two features, Release Remaining Encumbrance and Accrual Accounting, work together, to ensure remaining in year encumbrances can be calculated accurately.

    Regards

    Wayne

  3. Have multiple pickup locations available in Primo when requesting items from the same library

    Our wish is to be able to offer several pickup locations in Primo for the same library when documents are available for loan (not linked to a reading room desk) without having to create a new virtual library. The library must be able to configure the visibility of these pickup locations based on certain user criteria (e.g., user group).

    For example, a library may offer a special room whose access is reserved for teachers and doctoral students. The library would like doctoral students/teachers to be able to choose this room as their pickup location at the time of the request…

  4. Receiving Notes

    If possible, place Receiving notes directly under the "Receiving Settings" section.

    Reasoning: When an item is being checked in and there is something in the Receiving Notes it usually has something to do with the way that title is checked in. Where it is located now, the check-in process has already been started and even possible received/entered incorrectly.

  5. Make Cataloger notes searchable in Alma and/or Analytics.

    It would be helpful if the data in the Cataloger notes within bibliographic records were searchable, possibly through Advanced search, keyword search, or even within Analytics. This would allow catalogers to easily gather these notes and organize them for specific resources related to projects that require review.

  6. Increase time in which the "reset password" link is valid

    The link that is sent to patrons to reset the Primo-password is only valid for one hour. We would like to be able to configure this duration, as it appears to be rather short. Our patrons often miss this timeframe and have to resent the link.

  7. Ability To Search Invoices By Payment Status

    We would like the ability to search invoices by payment status. This is important to us because we bulk export invoices (XML), one campus at a time. For example, we need to be able to check that all invoices in Ready to Be Paid status are of one campus before we send to the integration.

  8. For general electronic services links at the item level, allow the item id to be used in the URL

    When a General Electronic Service is added as an item-level service, the URL template may be configured to make use of the a bunch of Holdings and item-level information, for exampe, the barcode. But the item id is not included as a possibility. Please add this as an option.

  9. Show Service temporarily unavailable message even if Direct linking is enabled

    The Service temporarily unavailable message is only visible if direct linking is not enabled.

    It would be useful if activating the message, would automatically disable Direct linking for that particular service

  10. JavaScript in the Alma Resolver Menu (GetIt/ViewIt)

    "Delivery system skins" enable customers to modify the Alma resolver menu using custom CSS and images, but it would be extremely useful if customers could also add custom JavaScript to the resolver menu.

    In many cases, desired customizations require DOM manipulation that cannot be achieved with CSS alone. Moreover, many libraries rely on JavaScript-driven web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to track user engagement across various web properties.

  11. Drop-down options for loan notes

    Loan notes are currently free-text, which makes it difficult to extract meaningful data from the notes. The option to configure a drop-down menu for loan notes would improve standardization and analytics.

  12. Add portfolio options for non-matches in PDA New Import profile

    There is often a discrepancy between candidate and purchase DDA records that we receive - often, we receive purchase records without first receiving the candidate records. Of course we try to correct this with vendors, but with limited success.

    I now force non-matched purchased records to load, but they come in with unactivated portfolios that are not in an electronic collection. Could one of these solutions be added?

    • Preferably, additional portfolio options for the New Order import profile to activate the portfolio and put it in a collection
    • Alternately, some sort of action or notification that there has not been…

  13. Automatic renewal notifications of subscriptions

    Our library manages about 3'500 current subscriptions to periodicals. We fixed the automatic annual renewals of our subscriptions on a same date, precisely on the 31 August. As most of our subscriptions have been assigned to a few suppliers, our wish is that all renewal notifications intended for a same supplier are included in a single e-mail, instead of being sent individually in separate e-mails. We wish to avoid that each supplier receives as many e-mails as there are automatic notifications on the same date. They would only receive one e-mail with all the renewal notifications.

  14. Electronic Resource Activation Task List: do not revert to "Assigned to Me" tab after deleting a task

    When you're working in the "Unassigned" tab of the Electronic Resource Activation Task List, it always reverts to the "Assigned to Me" tab after you delete a task. I want it to stay in the "Unassigned" tab.

  15. Displaying the "Requester Notes" from Purchase Requests in the list of Purchase Requests

    In the Purchase Request List you can't see the "Requester Note" for a Purchase Request. In many cases there are very helpful information for managing the Requests. So it would be great if you can see the information immediately.
    If the Note is very long, a mouse over with the text could be a solution.

  16. Add preferred address to Resource Sharing Shipping Slip Letter

    I suggest that preferred shipping information be added to notificationdata/partnershippinginfolist/partnershippinginfo in the xml of this letter. Currently all registered partner addresses are added to the XML with no indication of which is the preferred address.

    As a result the true shipping address cannot be deduced from the XML, which leads to a manual address lookup before shipping.

  17. Add electronic collection details to the Alma publishing

    Currently both physical and digital collections are published to Primo. Because of this these data elements can be added to the display sections of the Primo UI including the collections facets (courtesy of the Primo back office rules).

    Similarly the collection name is published to Primo Central and therefore can be included in the collections facet and full display Details section.

    Note: The publishing should also include details showing whether the resource is a Community Zone resource or not. (It may be desirable to only include non-Community Zone collections in the Primo displays as the PCI collections is already displayed).

  18. Claiming Resource Sharing Borrowing Requests by Format Type

    The new Automatic Claim feature does not differentiate between Format Types when adding "Time to Claim (days)" in the Partner record. For example, it should be possible to write 2 days for Digital requests and 5 days for Physical requests.

  19. Allow Fines API to return closed fees in the /users/<userID>/fees/<feeID> endpoint

    Something I have noticed is that the fines API has strange behavior when it comes to returning data. /users/<userID>/fees will return only fines for a certain status supplied in the query params, which defaults to active. This makes sense and is fine, but what doesn't make sense is that /users/<userID>/fees/<feeID> doesn't return closed (paid) fees. It returns this error message
    {
    "errorsExist": true,
    "errorList": {
    "error": [
    {
    "errorCode": "401873",
    "errorMessage": "Request failed: API does not support closed fees.",
    "trackingId": "E01-1412050816-2AZKJ-AWAE514295771"
    }
    ]
    },
    "result": null
    }

    This is fairly strange, I would have expected for the fine to still…

  20. Enhance Display Logic Rules to incorporate the same full functionality options of General Electronic Services

    Display Logic Rules options are limited in allowing only Hide options by User Group, ownership by campus or institution, or presence of another service. They also have hardcoded display depending on the service, such as displaying only when a user is logged in, and only in Get It or View It (some of which are understandable per service).
    In contrast, General Electronic Services are extremely powerful with Show / Hide options by true or false default rule, choice of display in Get It and/or View It, allowing display when not logged in, as well as by ownership by campus or…
