Export users in one file
We export all our users every day at 19:00 hours.
This export results in over 600 files that then have to be concatenated into one big file.
It would be most useful if the export could result in one big file being exported.

Possibility to open a record in MDE with MMS ID in URL (Deep Link)
At the moment it is not possible to create a link from an external system or a document which opens the MDE for a given MMS ID.
We would like to speed up the workflows of our cataloguers by having a possibility to generate links to Alma for a list of MMS IDs.
e.g. https://{alma domain}/mde/?mms={mms id}
This could then used by external tools to generate a "show" or "edit" link for our cataloguers.
It would also be possible to generate such links in an Excel document with MMS IDs by using a formula to generate such links, which would be another solution to this idea:

Alma Analytics> Fulfillment> notification sent indicators
In the Alma Analytics Fulfillment subject area, there is a "Courtesy Notification Sent" indicator field.
I would appreciate similar indicator fields for the other types of notifications sent to the user for the transaction, such as the "Ful Overdue and Lost Loan Letter", the "Ful Overdue Lost Loan Notification Letter," and the "Return Receipt" letter.
It would be helpful to confirm that Alma generated each letter for the user, for the transaction.
Since we have a retention period set on how long each letter copy will stay on the patron's attachments tab, it is possible that the patron may still have the transaction active (even if active only in "lost status") beyond when a notification letter is deleted.
Having the indicator available in Analytics would allow us to be certain that a patron was notified.

Ability to customise email subject heading in Alma letters using letter data
As library staff we would like the ability to customise the email subject heading of Alma letters using letter data so that we can flag something up to a customer/use in their email inbox.
For example, we've recently customised our On Hold Shelf Letter using XSL to have different content when a customer is picking up a Resource Sharing request as we ask customers to collect these from our Customer Services desk whereas other requests are placed on a self service hold shelf in the library.
We were able to customise the letter using XSL, but could not find a way to change the email subject heading for resource sharing requests in the same way as we were able to make the rest of the letter content conditional using XSL.As library staff we would like the ability to customise the email subject heading of Alma letters using letter data so that we can flag something up to a customer/use in their email inbox.

New Hold Shelf Request Slip Letter for Physical non-returnable
The current hold shelf request slip letter only handles regular RS requests (books etc), but is not generated when a RS request is created and received as physical non-returnable.
We would like to see an improved functionality to support this material type, so a slip is created as with any other request that are placed on hold shelf. It could either be an improvement to the existing letter, or a new letter entirely.

Transit Letter: CC to the destination
Enable an option in Fulfillment for a transit letter to be sent to both destinations (From + To).
As for today, only the “From” department receives a notification letter.
If a CC was an option there was no need to print / forward the letter.28 votes -
Hold shelf request slip letter - new regex code table to create pickup number based on internal identifier for Resource sharing requests?
In 2018, a new letter for hold shelf items was introduced thanks to this idea exchange (https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/32042020-new-letter-for-hold-shelf-slips) It has been very helpful in managing physical item requests, since the letter is customizable.
We see that improving this letter to also include pickup numbers for resource sharing requests/physical non-returnable. Since these requests do not get a Request ID which then becomes the Additional ID - but rather an Internal ID – the letter could be improved to include a portion of the Internal ID as the pickup number.
For instance, a RS request has the internal ID 4177325980002286. Following the same logic as how Additional ID is generated, the pickup number would become 417-732-598 and can be included in Hold Shelf letters to the end user as well.
This would work for both regular material types, and physical non-returnable, since both are assigned an internal identifier on the borrowing library side.

Printouts Queue: Include more info in printing queue display
Idea: Include bibliographic or request information in the display of the Printing queue. (E.g. An additional column that displays Title and/or Internal/External identifier).
Rationale: There may be multiple desks/people scanning in requests at different times; it would be helpful to be able to see which item a letter was referring to at a glance. This information is available from the "preview" option, BUT, it takes a lot of time and clicks to open each to see if it should be printed or reprinted.

Add the Item call number in the Reading list
Courses > Reading lists : On the “Edit reading list” screen, it should be possible to see the Item call number too (and not only the Call number). In our library we sometimes have several copies of a document which means that we have multiple items in one holding.
In situation A, only one of the items is added to a Reading list.
In situation B, different items are added to different Reading lists. But since you don't see the Item call number on the "Edit reading list" screen, it is not obvious which item is in which Reading list.1 vote -
Limit RS Digital requests to a certain number per day
It should be possible to limit scan requests to a certain number day.
Currently, it is only possible to limit to a certain number of active requests (which is confusing for the patrons).1 vote -
See the same information in Monitor Requests & Item Process menu that is seen in Borrowing Requests menu
It would be helpful to see the same information in the different places a staff member might check to see the status of a patron request. In the attached document, you'll see that there is much more useful information in the borrowing requests menu, including the preferred pickup location which is a critical detail. Can we have the same info display in both?

Autoholdings integration for Nature (SpringerNature)
Create an autoholdings integration profile for Nature titles. The titles are already being sent from SpringerNature, however, they get rejected due to the fact that they are not included in the Springerlink CZ Collection for autoholdings. I assume that is due to the fact they have a different base URL (www.nature.com). The tools are already there for the integration. It would be nice to have all SpringerNature titles included in the process.

Create a scan in message when a call number is inadvertently changed using change item information
Add a Scan in message when an items call number has been changed through Scan in items> Change item information, when the call number field has been left blank.
This could be an optional message enabled through "Scan In Messages Configuration" where you could select either none, pop up message or feedback message.
The workflow I am referring to is here
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/020Resource_Requests/040Scanning_ItemsIt would happen when the call number is empty, and it is being moved to an existing holding with a different call number.

Choose users affiliated to a particular library - Bulk Change Due Date
Our situation is that we have 2 libraries (eg. Library A - Library B) in 2 different cities. Students affiliated to a particular library can borrow items (books, DVD, etc.) owned by the other library.
The problem is:
Eg. Due to COVID, library A closed and library B remain open, so students affiliated to library A can't physically return their books. I would like to bulk change due date for all loans of library A students.
HOWEVER, if I choose 'Library A' in the field 'Library' of Bulk Change Due Date feature, Alma will change due date of loans related to items owned by library A, NOT loans of students affiliated to library A.
Dividing a particular user group like 'Undergrad student' into 'Undergrad student - Library A' & 'Undergrad student - Library B' and then only select 'Undergrad student - Library A' in 'User group' field of Bulk Change Due Date feature will help, but dividing like that will make Term of Use configuration more complicated.
It would be grate if I can choose the library to which users affiliated in Bulk Change Due Date feature.

Add Course Information within Purchase Request to PO Line
It would be very helpful if the details within the 'course information' section of a purchase request fed through to the POL and was visible within the 'Notes' tab of the POL. This would enable staff dealing with the orders to have all the required information in one place and would also make the audit trail more robust.

Lending Publication Date
In Lending Analytics, the Publication Date field retrieves the date the Journal began publishing, and not the date the Article was published, despite the fact that the date in the Lending request is the Article's publication date. As a result, we are unable to check if we have supplied scans according to Copyright Law.

Remove "Valid Until" in calendar entries
The current behavior in Alma is that any calendar entries have an effective date and a valid until date, that is automatically 3 years beyond the date the event was last edited.
The effective date does not in my mind serve any purpose and creates puzzling and frustrating situations for fulfillment services staff if the current date approaches any of these valid until dates, because patron loans will start being shortened, seemingly for no reason.
For exceptions, date ranges are called explicitly. For standard hours there either should be no valid until date, or this should be specified explictly, to match the behavior of exceptions. If no date is given then the hours in that entry should persist indefinitely

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for developer portal
Currently login to the developer portal https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/ requires username and password. If a user account associated with an organisation is compromised this gives the malicious actor access to use/create API keys to do anything they want in Alma.
For example a malicious actor could create an API key which allows them to access all the user information stored in Alma.
Access to manage API keys should be locked down with 2FA, password login is not sufficient.

Prevent the reservation of items from other libraries if material exists on the user's campus
By default, Alma allows the user to request material from any of the libraries registered in the system.
For us this is not always desirable, because in certain cases the library where he can request the material is located hundreds of kilometers from where he is, and the transport of this material becomes difficult and time-consuming.
This is especially problematic when the material exists in the library/campus where that user is registered. The requested item would take longer to arrive from somewhere else than if he waited it to be returned to his campus.
To solve this, we would like you to include in the Alma configuration the possibility to prevent the reservation of items from other libraries if material exists on the user's campus.
Regards,
Oberdan
