Find and Manage Users by User Group
Add the ability to find and manage users and create user-based sets based on User Group.
As part of the Alma July 2020 release “Advanced Search for Users” feature, new search options have been added for searching user records. The option to run advanced searches has also been added. One of the many new search indexes is the User Group.
Search results may be saved as a users set.

Looking forward to this functionality, it will be very very useful for us.

Hi,
I would like to update you that the development and testing of this feature is complete and currently in testing. We are planning to deploy the feature in Q3 of this year.
Thanks,

Just a question. You mention the Advanced search option for users...where is that? I have a feeling that we once did have a advanced search for users, but that it's not longer exicting.

Hi,
We are making our best to have this feature deployed as soon as current priorities and resources make it possible. Initial plans for a 2019 deployment were indeed delayed and the current plans are to have this deployed in 2020.

This submission is coming up on two years now with a Planned status, and it's not even mentioned on the current Roadmap which goes up to 2021. I'm aware that Idea Exchange has no guarantee, but it feels a little ridiculous at this stage.
Can the community who took the time to vote for this have an update as to when it's going to be in-product? -

Seconding the call for this function, would be extremely useful for creating sets. Is there any update on when this is planned for release?

I would welcome this feature also.

Another call for an update on this critical piece of functionality.

Has this been done? Searching for users is very limited; no advanced search is available for Users.

I just came here to suggest this idea, it sounds like it's planned but there's been no announcement yet as to when it's coming (and it moved to 'planned' status 18 months ago). Any update on this great idea would be very helpful.

What's the status of this? It's surprising that this feature isn't available.

Is there any timeline for this as yet? It was moved to "planned" 10+ months ago.

Can I ask if the plan here is to include Users in the Advanced search? We would be interested in having the ability to search for a user and combine this with Campus and also email. This would help library staff when trying to find a correct patron when there are a number of patrons with the same name.

Other search criteria such as address, city, zip code, phone number etc. would also be much appreciated.

I agree, filter users by user group would be extremely helpful! 3 votes for this idea!

Agreed, I'd like to be able to create a logical set of user records soon to expire, so that an update/notify users job can send them a notice (and ideally be able to schedule that job too.)

This is similar to the Find and Manage Users by User Group idea. I'm surprised this capability is not already available.

This would be a very useful addition. Even just filtering by user group on the Find and Manage Users page would be a huge help.
