Yes, it would be great if the "Exact" search would exclude records with strings outside of the matched query. That would be different functionality. It seems to me that the current design simply recreates a "Contains" search with the query in quotation marks.

I don't agree, but will remove my votes.
    Thanks,
    Blake

I would say that there have been great improvements in this area. However, drop-down menus still do not work in a horizontal orientation, but this can usually be mitigated by switching back to vertical orientation. And then back to horizontal orientation.

    Hello,

That is not my experience. In my testing on Google Pixel, Android 7.1.2, Chrome 60.0.3112.107, horizontal orientation:

    1) the Main Menu Navigation Bar of Persistent Menu is missing, and
    2) the drop-down/lookup menus of the Monitor Jobs area do not work.

    https://www.screencast.com/t/zdfBUC3Gk4p

Also, I filed case #00464880 (Main Menu Navigation Bar of Persistent Menu Missing on Mobile Phone), and was told that this is expected behavior.

    Thanks,
    Blake

One use case might be that a patron has a long list of results that they can't check all in one go. So, they look at results 1-100 today, 101-200 tomorrow, 201-300 the next day, etc. No one wants to scroll through every page, or use the awkward skip-2-pages-at-a-time method that Primo currently offers, to get farther into the results list.

Also, you can sort by Relevance, but not Non-Relevance, Author AtoZ, but not Author ZtoA, Title AtoZ, but not Title ZtoA. There are times when a patron would want to start at the end of a list and work their way to the beginning.

Another way to look at this: this functionality already exists in Alma, and it is super helpful!

@William - would you consider adding the new Open Access facet to this group?
